Lo is 8mo old and I want to quit pumping when she's one. I work a 7on 7off schedule of 12 hour shifts. I pump every 3 hours at work and I get a a few ounces more then she eats. I have about 500 oz frozen. I tried going every 4 hours instead of 3 and I got 3-4 ounces less then usual so was a few short that day. I want to cut back, but I'm nervous! What did you guys do?

How many ozs does she take a day? 500 would get you pretty far if you only need milk 2 weeks out of each month.
I never had a big stash so I weaned from the pump about 2 weeks before age 1

I was really nervous about stopping, so I didn't cut back until Xander turned one!! I definitely could have stopped earlier, especially if I had the freezer stash you do, but I don't know when would be ideal. Good luck to you! I hope you can cut back soon.

@Adira: it's so tricky! And i worked so hard for my supply it feels weird to stop you know?

I had a huge freezer stash and I started cutting back at 9 months. At 11 months, I completely stopped pumping and just nursed morning and night (and burned through the rest of my stash).

500 oz is a great stash! I only had 100 oz, and I dealt with some supply issues towards the end, so I only started dropping pumps at 11 months. LO turned 1 year yesterday, and I hope to drop my final pump session this week.
Good luck! If I were in your shoes, I probably would have dropped to 2 sessions sooner, I think.

I didn't have a big stash, so I waited until Liam was drinking less milk to cut back on pumping. He started slowing down on milk around 10 months old. I totally stopped pumping once he turned one.
