C will be 8 months old tomorrow. We've sort of given her a sippy but we dont so it consistently. She does alright with it but can't figure out to tilt it backward to drink. lol. I think we may try and find a straw cup.
Anyway, when did you introduce a sippy?

I introduced the Zoli straw cup to LO at 6 months, and she got the hang of it after 1-2 weeks. She goes nuts every time she sees the cup...it's like she has the shakes or something.

We introduced the sippy at 5.5 months. A first he would just play with the spout. After a week or so he realized he could drink out of it but we had to help him tip it. After about 2.5-3 weeks he totally mastered the sippy!
He has been able to drink from a straw but hasn't mastered it. He also loves drinking right out of our water glass (he tips it back and everything!) with our help.

We have a few others that he uses now but I think the Nuby is easiest for beginners!

We started giving her water in a straw cup at 6 months. We tried a sippy cup first but she didn't like it, so we switched to straw cups. It took her a couple weeks to really get the hang of it but now she's fine with it.

I introduced a Zoli straw cup at 6 months. It took her a week to get the hang of it. I just wish she would drink breast milk or formula out of a cup!

6-6.5 months. I remember to give it to her maybe every other day. She's kind of gotten the hang of it.

We gave her the Zoli at 6 months and she is now 16 months old so she's got the hang of the straw. Once in a while we'll give her a sippy and while she understands how it works, she doesn't end up drinking as much so we've stuck to the Zoli.

I just intro the zoli to her and she's 7 months. She gets really excited at it and immediately put the straw in her mouth but hasn't figured out how to suck from it. But sedribks great from a glass! Hahah I let her have it all the time to play with it. Not pressuring it; just letting her be.

I just started giving him one the other day (6.5 months). It's a playtex one with the handles on either side. He can get it up to his mouth and everything but just chews on it. I took the valve out and it got some drinks from it so he knows it's in there...but I figure he'll take a few weeks or more to figure it out. I'm going to give him one every night just to play around with. I ordered a zoli one today too just to see how he likes it.
