LO is 12 mo and has never done well when I've attempted to give him steamed/sautéed greens. I know it's more difficult for them to handle greens, but I'd love to get a sense of when they are better with them.

It really just depended on how well they were cooked but she did ok with some at 10 months.

Spinach was introduced really early, like around 8 months, I could buy it in single serving frozen cubes, so I'd put a cube or two in almost every offering as appropriate. I'd do a veggie scramble with an egg and spinach, toss a cube into pasta while it's cooking, add it to sweet potatoes, etc.
As for the more tough greens, like chard and kale, I waited on those, because I wasn't sure about preparation. I treated them like spinach, eventually.

@looch: where did you find it in single serving cubes? That would be awesome.

@mrs.shinerbock: I think it would be really easy to do at home-- just buy some chopped spinach, cook, portion into an ice cube tray, and freeze.

@mrs.shinerbock: I was abroad during the time, they sell the spinach like that for adults in the frozen section!
But you could totally do the same thing, with an ice cube tray.

LO 1 had a lot of teeth so she was eating steamed broccoli and cauliflower around 10 months?
LO 2 was around 11 months.
