My son has loved purees since we started them around 4.5 months. But ever since introducing more table foods, sometimes he refuses purees and holds out for finger foods. He's 9 months.
When was your baby done with purees?

7 months for olive. she was a finger-food lover.
charlie.... um 18 months? he wasn't eating purees then, but he was eating a lot of soups. he was a picky one. i think he had some sensory issues with texture because he used to throw up a lot.

We did BLW weaning at home but purees at daycare. She was over purees around 10 months!

Around 9 months she was done with purees. I still feed her some at 11 mths, but I need to distract her with some type of finger food as Im feeding her.

@crash806: Same! If he's holding a piece of food I can feed him some puree, but otherwise he gets mad at me! I don't want to force it on him, but we have like 15 jars of puree left.

We did BLW. Liv tried 2 spoonfulls of applesauce and 2 of carrots and hated them both. She LOVED finger foods, so we went straight to that. So she was over them at 6 months..the same day we started lol

7 months is when she stopped accepting purees.

Once we gave her the freedom to do BLW, she was completely over purees... around 7-months.

@winniebee: my go to are string cheese and Cheerios. I have a whole thing of jars leftover and sometimes what I'm having for dinner I feel like she can't handle it- I'm paranoid about her choking..

yikes... LO is 7 months now and never liked purees (or any solids so far)! guess we've missed the puree boat!

Around 8 months for us, he started to refuse them. He loves finger foods and likes to feed himself.
