I think I'm over it and I have enough milk in my deep freezer to last past her first bday. My baby is 8 months old but I'm afraid my body will go too long between nursing. Her last feeding is between 6-6:30 pm and I can't nurse her until 4 or 5pm the next day.

7 months.... I had to EP because she went on a nursing strike (and never went back)

Um, everyday? I have to EP and I think about stopping all the time...7 months of it will do that to you.

My first day back at work?? That was 8 months ago and I seriously cannot believe I made it this long (3 weeks to go!!!)!

@autumnlove: What a stash! I'm envious. I have almost no freezer stash. I forgot my pump at work last night and I think I sent the last of my stash to daycare today. I don't think I'll pump at work after a year.

I'm over it and haven't really started. I only pumped enough to leave the house to attend a baby shower a few weeks ago. I pump maybe once a week, but I absolutely hate it. EPing for a year was a pain. I love breastfeeding too much to pump.

@Corduroy: LO is EBF on weekends but she gets 4 bottles on my work days...I hope my supply can keep up if I stop pumping? I only have enough frozen milk to cover daycare bottles until she is 1...not feeding FT!

My second day back at work
totally stress about getting enough for her while she is in childcare, constantly counting ounces is exhausting!

mmm...about a month after LO was born when our BFing problems still weren't working themselves out and I was starting to pump more and more. Then when she was 3 months and got the MSPI diagnosis and I started eating dairy and soy free I was even MORE over it.
I've said I was going to quit 1,000 times and yet here, I am...still doing it. LO will be 6 months this next week.

day 1.... if we're being honest here... I stopped when I stopped getting enough to make it worth the hours it took though

Ten months was when I was really just miserable about it. I felt like I had been doing it SO long and still had two more months to go. Plus work was stressful and I was BARELY making enough milk to cover day care bottles even after adding an additional pumping session before bed.

When my supply took a plunge after AF came back at 7 months. I was EBFing but then had to add pumping sessions after every nursing session plus one more before bed. I didn't even mind pumping that much when I was working cuz I didn't have to count ounces and stress about him not having enough to eat. I ended up weaning at 8 months.

I hated it form the first time I ever pumped. But I finally stopped when DD was about 7 months. I had returned to work and couldn't pump enough for her, so we were giving formula anyway. I hated pumping at work so I stopped and we went to formula til she turned 1.

About a month into working, I dreaded the pumping room. I did it for 4 more months until we weaned. Life was so exhausting then that's it's a giant blur between pumping, sleepless nights, counseling, and clients I don't know how I survived it.
