How did you feel?
Were you feeling lots of contractions? If so, did you go into labor before your due date? Had you lost your plug?
Were you sore? Sluggish? Queasy? Or, were you one of those lucky gals who had a burst of energy and you ran around like a crazy woman cleaning your house and nesting?
Did how you feel around this time have any indication on when you went into labor? (i.e. could you feel labor "coming on" in a sense?)
ETA: Share when you went into labor!

I ran around like a crazy woman. I did lose my plug a few weeks prior to going into labor and had braxton hicks but that's it.

Right now, I feel like I got kicked in the vagina with a steel-toed boot. My pelvis hurts incredibly badly, to the point where I need help putting my pants on and taking off my shoes.
I don't feel like nesting. I feel like eating McDonalds.
I have contractions every day, but my doctor gave me *bundles* of hope by telling me she is sure the contractions aren't doing anything, I just need to drink more water.

I was SORE! My back and hips hurt and I was tired. And I was having serious heartburn. But I wasn't have any contractions (besides BHs) and hadn't lost my mucus plug yet. And I did get a lot of stuff done those last few weeks!

Will you hate me if I said I felt really good? I mean, I was OVER being pregnant, but I worked until 39 weeks, and then it was spring break. But I felt good enough to work up until my due date, and I was definitely in nesting mode! I never felt any Braxton Hicks contractions and I hadn't made any progress dilation or effacement-wise on my due date, and my LO came 3 days later.

I was sooo uncomfortable. The feeling of being kicked in the hooha is exactly how I felt.
I know you don't probably feel so much of doing it, but having sex really does help start labor. DH and I did it the night before I went into labor.

And I feel you on the sore back! I just did the dishes by hand last night, and OMG. My back hurt so badly from standing at the sink with my arms outstretched for almost an hour. I felt like such a wuss, but it hurt!

With Elliot: I was tired but I don't remember feeling extremely tired or sick. I know that I was crampy but I didn't have contractions. At 38 weeks I was dilated to 3cm and 80% effaced but I hadn't felt any contractions. My water broke at 38w5d.
This time: I'm completely exhausted. My acid reflux is worse than it's ever been but I know that baby has dropped because every time I am standing up/walking I feel TONS of pressure. I'm nauseous off and on all day. And I've had contractions every day for the past 2 weeks. I'm 38 weeks today. One week ago I was dilated to a 3 and 80% effaced. Bah.

I hurt all over. We just were in our new house for 2 weeks, so I was unpacking, setting up the nursery, and getting every settled. I had no contractions till after my water broke at 39 weeks. I lost my plug between 37-38 weeks.
and I ate total crap those last couple weeks.

I felt tired and big at that point. I didn't lose my plug until I was in labor, same with contractions. I think I was partially the energy type because I still worked up until I delivered. I remember it was hard to walk, but I still did it everyday. I know that I definitely slowed down at that point, but kept going.

Besides the horrible pelvic pain (that I had had since 24 weeks), I was actually pretty energetic. But, I also had time to rest if I needed to, instead of chasing after a toddler. I have a feeling this time I'll be extremely sore.

@Dandelion: DH and I DTD every night during the last two weeks of my first pregnancy. I swear that is why I was already 5 cm dilated when I went in to get induced!
However, this time around is much different. We tried to DTD a couple nights ago and IT HURT! Every position is pretty uncomfortable.

I've been walking (more like using the stroller to hold myself up and moving forward), bouncing on the yoga ball...I've tried using my breastpump to start contractions (it worked- but they stopped) and I've tried DTD twice (it's what I thought started labor with E).

I felt horrible around that time. I went into labor at 38 + 4, I had to stop working at 38 weeks because I was soo tired and swollen and miserable. I was not a happy preggo!! I lost my mucous plug after a 2nd membrane sweep around 38 weeks...I don't remember having any real contractions other than some weak Braxton-Hicks

I was swollen like no one's business, so I was really uncomfortable. My OB took me out of work at 37w and I pretty much lived in our recliner. I went to L&D at 36w because of the swelling and I was having contractions but couldn't feel them (so probably BH). I lost my mucus plug at 37w5d, I was 2cm dilated and 80% effaced at my 38w appt, then went into labor that evening. I gave birth the next afternoon (38w1d).

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I'm surprised that hasn't put you into labor either! Have you still been having contractions every time that you BF? Yes, they are and it's KILLING me. I think I feel labor coming on every single day. I go to bed, thinking I'll wake up to contractions or my water breaking...and then when I wake up in the morning it's just so disappointing lol.

@Running Elley: I get contractions for about 10 minutes, and that's it.
The other day I had contractions for almost 20 hours straight, 10 minutes apart. They never increased or got closer together, and then they just went away when I went to bed! AGH!!!

1. I ran around like a crazy person 2. I was so lightheaded/dizzy/tired. 3. I was induced at 39 weeks 5 days due to high BP, I had no contractions.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: Mmmm, McDonald's. That was the last meal that stayed down before I went into labor later that night. If I knew that, I would have had a Big Mac instead of a $1 chicken sandwich before leaving the office. I miss eating that way.

I was miserable from week 33-36 because I was sick and coughing (and leaking pee) a lot. I felt pretty good after that at 37-39 weeks but I had trouble falling asleep!

Right at 38 weeks contractions started for me. Unfortunately they weren't as productive as we would have liked and I was in early labor for a week before I was finally induced. I had already lost most of my plug, waters were still intact but I was having for real contractions. Sometimes every 5 minutes, sometimes every couple hours. Before that I don't really remember feeling any different though.

@autumnlove: I am going on week 5 of being sick! I have a horrendous cough and I literally pee my pants about 3-4 times a day. I just got on antibiotics a couple days ago, so I am hoping I get better before baby day.

I felt like a big pile of ache. I could barely move without pain the last few weeks. I never got any bursts of energy or last-minute nesting. I was queasy and miserable.
Sporadic contractions, but nothing that ever lasted more than an hour or two. I went into labor a few days before my due date (39w4d). I lost a chunk of my plug at 37 weeks and the bulk of it about a day and a half before I went into labor.
I was positive I was going to go late. I never had any real sense that I was going to go into labor until I was in early labor, and even then I was convinced it wasn't the real thing (even after I got sent home from the hospital in early labor (that was actually active labor)).

My ladybits hurt like no other, I was tired, but I had this weird energy so sh!t got DONE (much to my husband's dismay, as he wanted to loaf). I went into labor at 40w2d and delivered the next morning.

I was pretty much normal. Just tired. Some pressure/soreness but I was still moving a lot. I wasn't working and I was a ftm so yes I cleaned a lot and prepped for lo's arrival. I got sore at 39 weeks. I went into labor during the 40th week and delivered at 40w exactly.

I was tired, definitely over being pregnant but I think I still had lots of energy? I was still able to walk (ok, waddle) a fair distance. At that point lo's movements hurt more because she had run out of room to stretch, and I felt the pressure of her head down low. I ended up being induced at 38+5. No idea how I would have felt if I stayed pregnant until I went into labor myself. Oh and had no contractions, no bloody show or anything at that point.

I was sooo swollen, very heavy and had bad pain in my vag bone so turning over in bed was torture. I had unbelievable heartburn too, but not a single contraction. Compared to the first few months of pregnancy though I felt bloody brilliant!

I was tired and huge, I'd been having BH forever, some painful. my carpal tunnel and swelling had gotten really bad and I was ready to be done, but expecting to go overdue.
I had zero indications about labor (I went to work the morning labor started because I figured it was just more discomfort). in retrospect the extreme discomfort of the night before was probably the start of back labor but it could as easily have been nothing.
I had her one day before my due date. I only saw bloody show type stuff once I was in labor. I refused internals at the OB so no idea about dilation etc.

I was a mom! I had B at 37 + 2.
I lost my mucus plug a week prior. At my wellness visit 3 days before I went into labor I was 80% effaced and 2 cm dilated. The doc said I'd have a few more weeks and assured my DH he would be fine to go on a business trip across the country! Luckily, I went into labor the day before he was supposed to leave.
I felt incredibly tired and uncomfortable at that point. It was summer so if someone as much as opened the door I'd swell up like the Michelin man. I don't remember my vag hurting though!

I was very uncomfortable, having contractions, swelling, and hip pain, and so ready to be done with pregnancy. But I was also super busy with a very important presentation at work and my baby shower, both occurring at 38 weeks. (Baby shower was held late due to the host needing to recover from surgery... a pretty good excuse lol ) I ended up being induced at 41 weeks. Baby just wasn't coming on her own.

I felt awful. I was incredibly swollen and literally couldn't walk. I was just miserable. Pretty bad the way I feel now at 25 weeks is about how I felt at 30+ with my last baby!

I was still running errands and prepping for DD. Tried acupuncture to jump start labor. I had some contractions but not many. I ended up being induced at 39 weeks because of her size. If not I'm pretty sure she would've easily stayed past her due date. .
