We just started sleep training our 9 mo and I'm really apprehensive about him sleeping through the night and my supply decreasing as a result. I know everyone is different, but how did your LO's STTN affect your supply?
Thanks!

She started sleeping 10hrs around 10 weeks and was sleeping 12-14 hours several weeks after that and none of that affected my supply. She was EBF and nursed great during the day

Miss A is fifteen months and has only sttn on occasion but she did have a stretch of longer sleeps at the beginning of November and whilst it didn't seem to affect my supply, it was enough to bring back AF.
Your supply should be pretty well established at this point and you could always work another nursing session during the day if you start noticing your supply dipping.

Yes. But she was only 8wks so maybe my supply wasn't fully established.

No, it was around 9 months on his own. I SAH though so I guess if it did drop I wouldn't have noticed!

She STTN early on, about 8w or so and it never affected my supply. At 4 months she started waking up a few times and my supply adjusted. Now at 5 months, every night is different. Sometimes she'll get up only once at 4am, other times she'll be up 3 times a night. My poor boobs have no idea what's going on! I've never noticed a problem with my supply though!

Nope. She sttn 12 hours at 11/12 weeks and was ebf until one year. Still nursing, but taking wcm during the day while I'm at work. Never had any supply problems.

Yes, once we sleep trained at 5.5 months my supply dipped and AF came back.

It didn't happen til 13.5 months...I do think my supply did go down because I didn't get engorged at all during the night, I was just full in the morning. BUt even if it did go down, I find that it is still responsive to supply/demand i.e. if he nurses a lot because he's sick my supply will increase, even at 14 months.

@delight: This is me right now. It's all over the place so my boobs are always ready for 2-3 sessions a night. On the nights she only wakes up once, the side she didn't take is huge in the morning!
@Kemma: I actually just told DH last night that the one nice thing about her not STTN is that it usually holds your period off for longer. I'd still rather STTN but trying to see the silver lining.
@Dagny: C has only STTN a handful of times, but so far I've been impressed with the body's way of adjusting, so I'm not worried. But, I don't really pump since i SAH, which could make a difference.

So far I've been pumping twice - once at 10:30pm and once at 3-4. So far my body has adjusted pretty well, I'm just not sure if I want to drop the 3-4am pumping..
