We all did it during the newborn stage.
But it's been ages since I did it since LO is 1 now. But last night I had to check. She has pneumonia and has been waking every 40-60 minutes between 730-10/11ish for WEEKS. Last night she went down at 700pm and never woke up until 10:30pm. I had to check on her before going to bed at 10:00p.

Last night...he's 2.
I still check every night eeep!! He still co-sleeps and doesn't sleep well at that, so when he is sleeping well (for him) I sort of freak out and need to check if he is okay since it is SO out of character. Paranoid much? haha

I check on her usually once during naps and then before I go to bed at night.

Ten months and usually once per night. Last night I checked I think twice but he's been sick ( now getting better!).

I still check on both my boys every night and at nap time. My oldest is almost 4 and my youngest is 15 months.

I always check before I go to bed (she's down around 7-8 and I go to bed around 10) and then if I wake up during the night I check the video monitor to see the rise and fall of her chest before going back to sleep.

I watch his breathing on the monitor every night (he is 7 months). Especially lately since he wants to sleep on his belly, face down in the mattress, grr!

I'll check on her if she's flat on her back or flat on her belly when I am getting ready to go to sleep. If she is on her side or her butt is up in the air, I figure she's okay.

This morning. He's 3 months old and I woke up at 4 a.m. with rock hard boobs and realized he'd been sleeping for 9 hours when he usually only sleeps 5-6 at a time. So of course I had to make sure he was still alive.

@photojane: @petunia354: Yeah he ended up sleeping 10 hours because he woke up at 5 a.m. to eat... I wasn't complaining though because I was sooo engorged (and obv too in love with the extra sleep to get up at 4 and pump). Here's hoping this is a sign of things to come!! He's even had a cough for the past few days, which obviously isn't bothering him too much.

This morning. LO is 3 months old and sleeps 10-12 hours every night. Every single morning I'm still surprised about it lol

I pretty much check at every nap. She takes long naps and lays there so still! Freaks me out!

Um, every night, haha. I can't help it. Even though she's 1, sometimes I'll be sitting on the couch watching TV and have this intense worry that she's not breathing and run to check her.

LO is 7 months and I still check every night! I just put my hand on his back to make sure it's going up and down (yes, I let him sleep on his tummy now where he's happiest). I just asked DH the other day when we think we're going to stop checking to be sure that he's breathing! I don't think we'll ever stop!

last night because our angelcare monitor was alarming. thankfully it just couldn't detect him since he was curled up in the corner. it happens often but i still have to check every time!

I check at least 2 or 3 times from when he goes down to when I go to sleep and right when I get up.....N is 7 months. DH thinks I am crazy.....It makes me feel better.

Eek - I checked on her once, the first time she slept until 4am and I woke up engorged. I'm usually just so thankful to have a few moments to regroup when she's asleep. I don't have the wherewithal to worry. But she's just started to scoot around her crib. Maybe I'll worry more when she's more mobile.

Yeah LO went 7 hrs last night. Woke up in a panick because I couldnt beleive I was waking to my alarm and not her. Had to check on her ASAP because I couldnt believe it and yes, boobs OUCH!!!

Ha I do this EVERY time he naps or goes to sleep. Usually multiple times while he's sleeping He's 6.5 months old.
