Charlie has been in a floor bed for a long time, but I'm thinking about getting him a real bed.
Something nicer than Ikea, but Land of Nod can be really pricey!
Where did you buy yours?

Like bed frame? We got a set of bunk beds from Craigslist and then got mattresses from Costco.

We're thinking Pottery Barn or Land of Nod.
I'm even considering an Ikea frame with a nice mattress. We'll see!

I wanted one from pottery barn but found a super cute one at Big Lots, of all places

I'm not sure where we'll get his when the time comes! I may keep an eye on Joss and Main cause they have good deals.

We are looking at Haverties and Rooms to Go Kids. Our qualifications are that it has to be solid wood and classic.

@Mrs. Bee: I'm having the same dilemma right how! They're either super cheap and crappy, or way expensive. I have my eye on one at pottery barn that's on sale, but I'm going to look at big lots this weekend. Sometimes they have great deals. I haven't seen anything I like at Rooms to Go or anywhere on craigslist. We've got to find one soon, though.

Maybe Overstock or Target would have something? I have a few solid pieces of Target furniture, but none are beds. If you aren't in a rush and look carefully, they sometimes have nicer pieces available at non-exorbitant prices.
Would you consider a full size bed? That would open up more options. I feel like a full size bed would have a longer life, too. I only ever had a box spring and mattress on a metal frame growing up, but my parents still use that frame in their guest room.

@BabyBoecksMom: So I just checked Big Lots website, pretty much the only site I haven't checked in my search. I'm LOVING this collection, would it happen to be the one you have? I'm not seeing reviews on it. http://www.biglots.com/p/c/bedroom-sets/ameriwood-twin-mates-collection

@LuLu Mom: yep! That's the one We figured we'd go cheap since there's a good chance she'll destroy it, but it's actually pretty good quality, especially for the price.

We're lucky because DH 's BFF gave us his twin beds from growing up. It's a beautiful solid wood twin; they just don't make like that any more! Or if they do we can't afford it! Anyway, we've been refinishing it.
@BabyBoecksMom: how's the mattress selection big lots? DH saw sealy at BJs for like a hundred. We just need a mattress.

We bought a soft upholstered headboard from amazon that was maybe $150 and then spent more $ on the mattress and box spring so it will last through childhood. We aren't in our forever house, so I wasn't ready to invest in a bed.

We just bought a nice, wooden toddler bed off of wayfair.com. They have products at a variety of prices so you are to bound to find something to fit your budget and quality desires.
