@skibobrown: I think you will like it here! We are pretty friendly and laid-back. It's a bonus if you love cold winters and humid summers!

@shimmer and we both are having twins! What hospital are you delivering at? I will be making a long drive from Bergen to Morristown.

@Ms.SK: I'll be delivering at Morristown as well! But it's only a 12 minute drive for me!

@shimmer I'm jealous of your short drive. I think I saw on another post you were seeing midwives, are you with Avalon? I am but also one of their back up doctors.

@Mrsdaredevil: my brother moved to Seattle a few months ago. He loves it so far. He and his family moved there after living in New Orleans for 5 years. Talk about a different environment!! Someday I'd like to visit.

@mrs. wagon: I love it! We get way less snow than the rest of the state in the winter (usually). Also, before it gets really cold it's nice because it's still just as beautiful as in the summer, but with less people! It's your typical small town things that can be annoying (like not going anywhere without seeing someone you know!). We lived in Lowell for a little while but ultimately settled back here where we both grew up!

@Ms.SK: I am with Avalon too, but so far no need for their consulting OB. How are you doing so far?
@mrs. wagon: I'm in Morris county, but used to live and work in Bergen county when I was fresh out of college!

@bpcmarj: that's so cool! Do you ever worry about hurricanes and flooding? That's the one thing that keeps me from thinking about moving towards the shore. I'm on the south shore but further inland.
@Shimmer: cool!! maybe some day Lil Miss Wagon can meet your twins

We live in NJ now. But used to live in San Francisco, which we miss almost every day.

@MamaMoose: excellent! Will take you up on that! I love personal tour guides!

@mrs. wagon: we can't afford to live right on the water, so flooding is not something I worry about! haha. Wind damage from hurricanes is crazy though. I worry about downed trees and powerlines more than anything:)

Ooh, just saw the other NJ posts! @Shimmer and @Ms.SK- nice to meet some "neighbors"! Have you both been happy with Morristown? I've heard very good things!

@Mrs.. Wagon what town is your brother in, I'm in Bergen county.
@shimmer I love Avalon! I have had a lot of complications but they are great. Donnas mom has me on her daily prayer list, too cute! Seems like we both had back problems. I wasn't able to walk for 5 weeks and one day it went away. if you end up needing a Dr. At some point I love Dr. Silverberg. I see both of them and they share my records. Thy have an amazing relationship. He really respects them. You hear so many bad things I was shocked!
@megg05 I love morristown. It is a great hospital. I have done a lot of research, where are u thinking of delivering? I am in Bergen county also.

@Meggo5: Hey neighbor! I've had very good experiences with Morristown thusfar. I've been in the ER twice since being pregnant and they always treat me well. Haven't had to use L&D yet (fingers crossed that I only have to go there once!) so I can't judge. I used to work at Hackensack (I'm a nurse), which has a really nice L&D but it's so busy! I also saw that they have a slightly higher c-section rate than Morristown.
@Ms.SK: Yeah, the back and pelvic issues have really sucked! I whine a bit more about it than I should though! Avalon has been wonderful so far. Thanks for the tip on Dr. Silverberg - I hope I don't need him, but you never know! Have you done the hospital tour yet? If you deliver at Morristown, they give you a free massage post-partum so make sure you sign up as soon as you move to mother-baby! haha
