We have 2 lactation rooms but they are always overscheduled and I felt so much stress going to them. I opted to use the storage clost by my desk. I called it the barn and everyone knew what was going on in there.

I use the lactation lounge in the Intensive Care Nursery. It's so nice that they let the hospital employees use it. They even let us use the hospital-grade pumps! Definitely very lucky.

I'm in one of the staff rooms or if my kids are at their Breaktime, I pump in my classroom.

This is what the lactation rooms look like where I work. They've closed floors in our other building, so this one is the main one. When it's prime time, I've seen mothers pump with an outlet nearby. The rooms have a Medela Lactina pump where you buy the parts for it. I liked that aspect of it. Otherwise, it's a pain to get to since it's not on the same bank as my floor.

We have two Mother's Rooms at my work. They're like doctor's offices, haha. Laminate white floors, white walls, white mini fridge, a small table, and a white sink! But it's private and has a comfy red chair, so I guess that's all that matters.

@cascademom: Wow that is nice! It looks so clean and cozy! Mine is a pain to get to as well because I have to go outside to get to it. In the cold, that is a pain. I have to give myself a pep talk to go do it. LOL I only have a couple of months left, and it could be worse I suppose. But it certainly could be better!
@singingbee: Nice. I teach too but I share a room so I can't pump in my room. When the other teacher is out, it is heavenly to pump at my desk!

We have mother's rooms which are pretty nice, but I have my own office so I pump in there Nice to be able to work while pumping!

Ours is a designated office with a door that locks...but it can be a challenge to negotiate scheduling with the other moms.

we have two mother's rooms (blacked out small conference rooms) and a first aid room with lock.

@littlebug: Wow- that is awesome! Does it look similar to @cascademom's room?
@Adira: A fridge and a sink is super nice!
@Ms.SK: Oh yeah I don't care who knows. As long as I can lock the door. Bummer that they have the rooms but they are too busy. They need more!

@travellingbee: haha, yes, I know I'm lucky to have it! It's just so WHITE and bare in there, haha. Our old room had carpet.

@Adira: Y'all need to tack up pictures of babies to help your supply

I'll pump in my office - I'm planning to hang a sign with a cow on it on my door so people will leave me alone.

I pump in my office. We never close doors here so I just close the door and I haven't had any issues.

@travellingbee: I was actually thinking of that the other day! It's so bare in there, I was thinking all of us moms should put up pictures of our babies!

I pump in a storage closet. It's not much, but it's so much better than the bathroom I'd have to use if my coworker hadn't cleared it out for me.

I pump in a spare office that they labeled "mother's room". Nothing special, but I'm really grateful to have the private space and freedom to pump for as long as I need!

Not a pumping mama yet but I am already jealous of all the ladies who have designated areas at work. There is literally NO WHERE in my current office where I could pump and would probably just go to my car. Lucky for me, we are moving offices by the time my maternity leave is over and we will have private bathrooms (that's my backup) but also will have 3 extra conference rooms, which will be awesome to be able to use! Our move could not come at a better time. I really want to BF and was getting really nervous about how/where I would do it.

It's an old corner office with 4 large floor to ceiling windows so it gets really really cold in the winter and really really warm in the summer.
We're moving offices in the next few months, and rumors are we're getting a "wellness" room which is supposed to be really, really nice. I just hope I don't have to compete for time to use the room to pump with someone who just wants to relax and take a 30 minute nap. Scheduling time to pump with other pumping moms in our single office can be difficult enough already sometimes!

I pump in my office, just close the door. Not an issue. I feel really lucky to have my own office!

This is the most awesome thread. I love seeing where everyone has to pump. I also pump in a storage room off my library. It's not exactly "private" since everyone has a key, but oh well. Oh, and the wall behind me is basically all windows which is a little scary when you work with middle schoolers who will totally try to peer through the little holes in blinds if they are "curious".
