I got the freestyle hands-free because I got it as a gift but had I not, I would have gone for the slightly less expensive but still amazing Medela should bag. The machine is not attached to the bag....the kit includes so many accessories and it's electric and it's double. Also, if you buy the corresponding bra: it can be hands-free. I think it could be very efficient both time-wise as well as milk-wise.

Will you be pumping at home or work? If you're home, the symphony is an awesome hospital grade pump, but if you'll be traveling with it or bringing it to work, I think you'd be better off with one of the others. Since the symphony would be a rental, how long would they cover? 6 months? A year?

I agree about the Symphony. I used it in the hospital but I would hate to lug it around to work and home.

@sorrycharlie: I went with the freestyle only because it doesn't have to be plugged into the wall. I am in sales and drive around a lot most days, so I wouldn't be near an outlet. It sounds like you'd have access to an outlet even at work so I'd spend the less money and get the PISA:)

I have the Medela Pump in Style Advanced and love it. My SIL had a friend who bought a less expensive one, and couldn't figure out why her milk wasn't coming in and her supply was diminishing. My SIL used her pump for a little while and said that the cheap one wasn't sucking as strong. So, even though the price is high, I say go for a quality pump so that your milk supply doesn't get messed up. Especially if you are going back to work

I have the pump in style shoulder bag and I like it a lot. I like that you can use batteries with it as well as a wall plug. I use it a lot more than I had anticipated I would. Often I pump in the car like on the way to church, weddings or public places because I don't want to deal with nursing in public and it makes life so much easier.
