That you went into labor?
Who did you call (or DH call) from the hospital to announce that LO had arrived?

I had a planned c section but we didn't tell anyone the date, just surprised them with a text when she was born. I think most of them guessed the day though.

My plan is to just tell my mom that I'm in labor. DH can tell whoever from his side, of course! But the only person I'm telling is my mom. She knows to only share with her husband and my brother.
I feel like if no one knows he's on his way, no one can blow up my phone and no one will be chomping at the bit for updates or an immediate announcement. My hospital does immediate skin to skin for the first hour (or longer if the baby hasn't nursed yet) and discourages any visitors during that time. I hope that DH and I will be focused on our son and not worried about our phones going off and people wanting pictures and updates.
My mom will probably be in the room or at the hospital and will take care of phone calls after he arrives and it'd probably be her husband, my brother, my aunts, and my grandma on that list. Everyone else will find out on Facebook. And DH will call his family before it goes on Facebook.

My husband called our parents and siblings after I was out of recovery to share the news!

Just both sets of parents- my husband did all the calling after contractions got bad. Parents told siblings. My boss and I were on Google chat when my water broke, so she knew too. That's it, mostly we just kept it quiet so we would be left alone.

We told our parents and they told our siblings I think.... I don't really remember.
When LO arrived DH texted our parents a picture of her, they were all in the waiting room. We let them call the rest of the family.

We told my inlaws. (My parents are deceased) and two of my close girlfriends. I did not want to be bothered in labor or have a ton of people texting DH so we only told a few. And they had strict instructions not to put it on Facebook!!
I called/texted a pic to all my immediate family and close friends the next morning. He was born late at night.

My sister was induced and told her parents, her two siblings and her husbands family. She even gave me permission to stop by. I think I knocked on the door right as he came out or something.

I was induced so everyone pretty much knew when things were going to start happening. My mom and DH kept people updates via text and the rest is a blurrrrrrrrr

I checked in at the hospital at the start of my induction. I really enjoyed reading people's words of encouragement later. If anyone texted me or my husband, I didn't know it at the time. My husband put a picture of us on facebook as soon as I got to the nicu to meet my daughter.

We told our parents once we were checked in. I don't think DH told anyone else until LO was born.

I was induced so I told my two besties, dh told his family the induction date, then when she was born my mum and dh told the most important people by phone/texting and then dh announced it on facebook when he got home that night.
