If you're having one?
We were going to ask my ILs but I don't think with my MILs health it's a smart idea. Going to ask a daycare teacher.

My work Christmas party is family friendly, so they come with! They have Santa pictures and it's held at the Children's museum with a catered dinner. My work stresses its family focused values which I appreciate. I will say pre-kids this sucked because I never went to it and missed having an adults Christmas party.

My parents! They are coming in that day to watch her and leaving the next morning. Otherwise we wouldn't have had anyone.

@Anya: best idea, ever! Is it an in office party then?

@regberadaisy: nope, it's at a catering hall type place down the street from the office. So we close a few hours early that day, makes it cheaper too I'm sure.

My husband, we are going to our parties solo since I need to use my parents for a work meeting early in the month.

Since our company party is normally in January, and normally about 45 minutes from home, we will either arrange to the leave the little girl with a friend for a sleepover, or at Grandma and Grandpa's. In the past I have had my BIL watch her, but SIL is out of country and he's since started a much busier job.

I'm not sure yet since our party is actually a "winter" party and usually in January- next year it has been pushed to March! So there won't be anything for Christmas or even close. We'll probably ask family to baby-sit, last year we turned it into an overnight in the city which was fun.

@MaisyMay: ha! Yeah, we would normally ask BIL. But it's his birthday.

I'm trying to skip ours. It's black tie on a week night. No thanks. Don't really want in laws to have to watch her all day and all night.

@regberadaisy: yeah...she will be here from 5:30-11:30.

@Bao: good luck to her. I can barely handle my two some nights. LOl But seriously, is she a neighbor/friends kids?

@regberadaisy: she's the sister of a previous sitter. DH has known her parents for many years.

If my parents are in town, they will. Otherwise, our friend that babysits him once in awhile will, given she's available. If not, then we won't go.

This year the company's holiday party is geared towards kids with Santa and lots of holiday activities. I'm really excited since the last company party I attended was 7 years ago and too fancy for my liking. Heard that they decided to have a kid holiday party due to cost. Less people attend, and it's cheaper overall.
@LuLu Mom: Jealous of your Christmas party! Sounds like a lot of fun at the Children's musuem

My parents - we got a hotel room where the party will be and are having a last child-free night before LO2 comes in Jan.
