Ick! I only buy Earth's Best and the stuff I have bought doesn't have any weird ingredients!

It says source of dha so it appears to add omega 3's.

Doesn't it say there that it's a source of DHA, which is the good stuff for brain development? It probably advertises on the container that it has DHAs in the babyfood?

DHA. Look at prenatals. Most of them have fish something in them for the DHA too.

We're a family of vegetarians and it is sooo hard to avoid fish-sourced DHA. Seems to be in EVERYTHING for babies. Ick.

I just noticed this recently too - something possessed me to read the ingredients and I was totally confused, because the earth's best just says, "organic pears and water" or something. I decided to start getting earth's best for when I don't make it myself!

@wheres_c: just for future reference, you can get DHA capsules sourced from algae. That's what I've been taking -- found them at Whole Foods, but you can get them from Amazon, too. They're more expensive right now, though, for some reason: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009KTUGSS/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

@allison: oh thanks. I had so much trouble finding them. I found a different brand but they used gelatin so I just said forget it!
