I'd never heard of them until I was on HB in the early months before we started TTC, but they've become more "common" around our circle of friends in the last few years as we've each had kid(s), etc.
DH gifted me a beautiful DY necklace with DS1's birthstone that I wear daily! I don't really want anything this time around though. Maybe stackable rings with all of my boys' initials or something simple that I'll order myself during leave!

I didn't get a push present, but for our anniversary a few months after c was born, Dh got me really nice earrings with her birthstone. We don't usually really do anniversary gifts otherwise.

Nope, no one I know has gotten anything except people on here! I got an initial necklace for Christmas after LO was born though, if that counts.

DH got me one (a stacking ring with DS's birthstone - sapphires) - he was really into the idea. Most of my close friends don't have kids yet so I don't know whether they're common in my circle or not.

I think they're fairly common among my friends. Hubs got me a necklace on Etsy with D's name and birthdate on it. I think after this one, though, I'll probably order myself some rings with the kids' names on them.

We don't really do presents. But DH bought me a kitchen aid stand mixer as a Mother's Day/anniversary/finally bringing baby home present. I definitely wasn't expecting it and I would not expect a push present if we had another child.

I don't know anyone in my circle of friends who got one. I sort of did? I asked DH for stacking rings with our daughters initial and birthstone, which I found and he bought for me.

DH got me a necklace. I don't think though he's heard of the term push present before. I had DS not too long after Mothers Day so it for wrapped as one gift.

I'd never heard of this before. We don't even gift for some holidays/birthdays/anniversaries, so there was no way I'd ask for/expect anything for a push present, even if there was something I wanted. Now I could see getting a sentimental piece of jewelry for mother's day, perhaps.

DH says that push presents aren't a real thing I don't expect anything except for maybe some flowers but if he gets anything else it will be a nice surprise. I would eventually like a piece of jewelry with LO's birthstone or initial maybe.

I know a bunch of people IRL that got push presents - most got jewelry of some kind.
My DH’s BFF told him he “had better” get me a good push present – she lives in LA so I assume they are more common there (???). lol she's awesome, I love her! He got me a thin diamond rose gold eternity band, which I wear everyday with my wedding band (rarely wear e-ring anymore, just these 2 rings).

No, but on our anniversary a month before DD was born we said no gifts, but he surprised me with coffee mugs that said Mom and one said Dad, we are HUGE coffee drinkers
We use them daily and it was soooo thoughtful and I love it!!!!!

well, LO was a xmas baby, so i did want a necklace with her birthstone for xmas. is that a push present?? either way, i didn't get it until a year later, because it was just too busy to pick one out, so it was my xmas present when she turned one. I would never expect a gift when i delivered though...i mean i got a baby!

DH is the one who told me about them! I got diamond earrings, that DH plans to upgrade in size with each baby. I wanted a pave band of her birthstone but DH wasn't a fan of the idea I guess. I'm not going to complain.

DH and I joked about it but we said my doula was my push present with LO1. We went minivan shopping just before my due date for #2. Every salesman asked if it was a push present. DH is a very slow decision maker so I'm guessing it a vehicle may be a 5th anniversary of pushing present.

I'd never heard of them before HB, and no one I know IRL has ever gotten one (or heard of them). I didn't get (nor did I ask) for anything for E, but LO2 is due at Christmas, so I'm going to ask for some sort of birthstone jewelry for Christmas (necklace or ring, I'm not sure which yet).

I have always known about them and have let DH know that I would like something with the baby's birthstone when the time comes.
