We are are new here. Wish everyone well. What were your starting beta numbers at about 11 days past a five day transfer or 15dpo? We just found out that ours is 1,640 and we get the second one done tomorrow but we wanted to see if others had the same range.

My own beta at 14dpo was only a 42 and that pregnancy did not last.
My friend's was as high as yours and she has twins.
We both transferred two embryos.

They sound really good (high)!!
My beta was only 100 at 14dpo and 358 at 17dpo. It was 43,000 a week and a half later.

But I just looked up yours at the range at 15dpo is 9-2500, so it can vary widely.

At 12dp5dt I had 908. 14dp5dt I was at 2399. I only transferred one and went on to have a singleton. But my RE thought with those numbers ours may have split (we did ICSI, Assisted Hatching, and PGD - all slightly increase the chance of splitting). Yours are much higher and since you transferred two Id say there's a good chance youve got some twins in there But you never know, could be one crazy healthy little bugger
Nothing scientific, just an anecdote - our 5 day blast was big and plump and my betas were high and our guy came out healthy and strong 7lbs7oz at only 37 weeks!

Maybe we have a healthy singleton or twins....either way we are just so excited to have made it this far! We will find out our second beta tomorrow. Praying it doubles!

I can't remember the exact #s, but I was around 300 at 12dp3dt (15dpo sort of) and I have twins. How do you feel about multiples?

9dp6dt I was 628 with twins, so it can be all over the place. I put money on two, though!

@twodoghouse: I would be blown away if I actually had multiples--and of course very happy with one healthy as well!
The only symptom I have is very obvious highway of veins on my chest and breast so it would totally amaze me if I felt this normal and had twins! I am already in bliss imaging one healthy baby growing so if we had two then we would gladly welcome it. I must admit, my beta seems very high as I research......

19dpiui: 1,408Today I am 5w6d (26 dpiui) based on LMP so we will see if it sticks.

@smtfaith: For what it's worth, I felt pretty good for having twins! I was extremely tired, but I thought that was normal for a singleton pregnancy. I didn't have any morning sickness, though. So, you never know! However, my sister's first FET had very high betas and there was only one baby. Unfortunately she lost that baby and during her second FET she had much lower numbers. Sure enough, she was pregnant with twins! So the numbers can be deceiving!

@twodoghouse: Interesting! That is too bad about your sister. I certainly hope that will not be our case. So far the nurses and doctor are pleased with a high starting number. Keeping positive in hopes for the best!

@smtfaith: My sister actually had chromosomal testing after her loss and the baby had a genetic issue, so it had nothing to do with her infertility or IVF.
Have you already had two betas, or was this your first? I think quick doubling can be a big sign of multiples. I'll be curious to see what your other numbers are! Whether there's one baby or two in there, I am hoping for a very happy, healthy pregnancy for you!

That was our first beta number. I go for my second tomorrow. Our last FET had a beta number of 34 and turned out to be a chemical so this time we are hoping this high number reflects a positive outcome on the way. The nurses did say it was very high and joked about quads but said only an ultrasound can determine the number that took. We transferred two excellent quality blasts. Hoping it is our miracle!

@smtfaith: Yes, it was awful for her. Especially since I was newly pregnant at the time too. She now has 7 week old twins, though, so things worked out for the best. When is your first ultrasound? Hoping this is it for you!!

@twodoghouse: So glad to hear that your sister is happy and blessed. I am not sure when our first ultrasound is, they did mention thatchy may push it up when they heard that first beta. Tomorrow is my second beta. I am guessing we will learn more about what comes next after that.

Mine was around 1,200 at that point and it was multiples....I'm willing to bet you've got double trouble in there!

Wow! Lots of mommies of multiples! I would have loved twins but it looks like this pregnancy is another singleton. My hcg has always been on the higher side of the brackets given so both times I had the "I wonder if it's twins" daydream. Good luck to you!!

@getjazzy: Congrats on your blessing! You must be very excited. How high was your baseline beta? For us, we just want anything we can get that is healthy. We never dreamed of such a high starting beta and hope for at least one healthy baby.

@smtfaith: Its honestly the one thing in both pregnancies that I didn't write down so I don't remember exactly! For this pregnancy I was super late to get a draw (I was over 6 weeks because we were away on vacation) but when I looked at betabase it was over the median range for twin pregnancy which of course still falls within normal for a singleton. There is quite the overlap in ranges.

I should note I wasn't an IUI/IVF though so none of my betas were taken that early.

@getjazzy: Thank you for replying! There sure is a huge overlap in ranges so I feel like it just cannot be determined besides ultrasound. I do know that with my daughter I had a starting beta in the 200's at about 4 weeks so this number is high. Cross fingers for us!
