I know I'm over analyzing things, but hoping y'all can help me relax a little.
I had my third beta today, and the number came back double what it was 48 hours ago. I'm happy with that, but a part of me is worried because my number tripled in between the first two draws, so the rate seems to be slowing a bit. My HCG is right around average for 16dpo.
Does anyone know if the rate fluctuates normally?

From what I've heard, its normal for the doubling to slow down as the number gets higher. No more betas for you, I hope?

It was so hard for me to relax with my pregnancy after a loss. Doubling is all that matters and I think I've heard that they slow down the more days post O you are. Average is great!

@Mrs.Someone: I know they slow when they get really high, but mine were only at 265 today. And I don't plan on any more betas, although my doctor wants me to come in Monday for an ultrasound because of the spotting I've had, and because we are leaving on vacation for two weeks on Tuesday. I'm very aware that we probably won't see anything though

It does start to slow, I had that happen with mine, I used to have links to charts showing normal range, I'll see if I can find!

over time it does start to slow but it sounds like hopefully you'll get some good answers on Monday.

@LAZB: another thing to add - my doctor told me anything over 60% increase is positive, so sounds like you more than cleared that!

My betas nearly tripled for the second one and then barely doubled 96 hours later (so I had 83 at 14dpo, 234 at 16dpo and then 574 at 20dpo).. I thought for sure I was out, but I am feeding my one year old right now. Of course every case is different, but rising is a great sign!

I think you're totally fine! honestly I think third betas are just scary because it rarely comes out exactly the same as the first jump and then you panic. you are still well within normal!
