@2PeasinaPod: I'm glad your doctors are being so thorough. From my understanding, scar tissue (or polyps or other irregularities in the uterus) is a very legitimate reason for recurrent miscarriage. You are by no means responsible for your situation-- our bodies are infuriatingly imperfect. But you have a beautiful child at home...and hopefully with a minimum of medical intervention, you will be able to have another soon.

@mrs bunchy: I'm so happy your chromosomes came back normal! I imagine all the rest of your testing has already come back. Are they planning more imaging or hysteroscopy? I am so sorry you've been through so much already. But I really hope that the arcuate uterus/septum are the issue...and that this will lead to your next steps and your take-home, rainbow baby!

ETA: @mrsbunchy: I "bled" for 3 weeks the first time. It sounds like you're getting close. FX!

@FliegepilzHut: I think the hysteroscopy is next.. OB appt is Tuesday to get cleared from the d&c then meet back with RE is discuss.

@mrs bunchy: Oh poo. We haven't yet received our hospital or anaesthetist bill. I will cry like a girl when we get them, let me tell you.

@mrs bunchy: I don't have any personal experience...but I remember quite a few of the ladies on the IF board talking about their hysteroscopies. I'm thinking of you always.

@FliegepilzHut: thx. Pretty nervous about another procedure. This never ending bleeding is really putting a damper in my healing process.. I would hate to have to go through another 3 weeks like this!

    I hope you're doing okay!

@mrs bunchy: Nothing to say but sorry. Hope it ends soon.

I've been on-again/off-again emotional the last couple of days...and crampy...and bleed-y. But otherwise, things are pretty good here. Got in touch with my RE's office this morning...I think we've got a decent (if tentative) plan in place.

I am going to catch up soon but I am at a party and desperately trying not to cry. Work has been fine because I can turn my brain off but I just feel weird being around people and pretending to be "normal. " plus, the invitation said it was a costume party and no one else (not even the hosts) dressed up but me.

@Jess1483: Oops...I totally forgot to reply! Lush makes amazing, handcrafted bath products. I am drinking a HUGE glass of wine. First glass since June.

@jaguar: Plans so far: I should have results from my tissue testing by the time of my follow-up appt 9/2, then we can make decisions about more testing, especially chromosomes for me and DH. I'm going to go back on BCP this next cycle, then plan on having an SHG the following month. If everything goes as planned, we'll "fix" my cycle so that we can do a FET in late November. Hooray for plans!

@FliegepilzHut: so happy you have plans in place! I am a huge planner- and will hopefully get our "plan" set in place within the next week or so. We have a wedding in October to attend out of state- and want to roll that into a vacation for our 3 year- so I am not sure if we wait until after.. Or go for it

@2PeasinaPod: We just got back from SIC! Have a blast. It's not nearly as relaxing as years past, but DD loved the ocean. Sand, not so much.
@simplyfelicity: @jaguar: @mrs bunchy: I missed the cheers?! Darn! Had I logged on, I could have cheersed to you as well - but with my ketel 1. Not pregnant = I don't mess around when it comes to my drink of choice
@simplyfelicity: That's ridiculous that no one dressed up...not even the hosts?? It reminds me of that Modern Family episode when Mitchell goes to work in a spiderman costume on Halloween. @FliegepilzHut: Hooray for plans. It makes it seem like there's a light at the end of this dark and lonely tunnel. The fact that AF is due next week has me so psyched...because we can finally get started TTC again. Although, the break has been nice. I think it's been almost a year that I wasn't wondering if I was pregnant....

@FliegepilzHut: @mrs bunchy: @2PeasinaPod: Sounds like you guys have some excellent plans in the works. I hope you will continue to keep us updated. AFM, It's almost 2 weeks post D & C and I am barely, barely spotting. I am guessing that means things are healing as they should. I am not sure when we are going to TTC. Probably October. Haven't decided if I am going to use my digital opks or just chillax a bit.
    @jaguar: @Tidybee: Cheers!

@simplyfelicity: I'm making chicken parmesan for dinner (I never make it during the summer since it requires the stove and oven, but it's cold and rainy today, so I'm making it!) We are having a nebbiolo wine with it and I'm excited!

  28. simplyfelicity

@Jess1483: Oo, wish it were cold and rainy here...it's 95 degrees. What is nebbiolo wine?

  29. Jess1483

    nectarine / 2641 posts

@simplyfelicity: It's just a kind of red wine. My dad is a wine snob and has unfortunately passed all his knowledge to my husband. I appreciate the wine, of course, but the wine talk drives me nuts!

@FliegepilzHut: Good work on the plans! Man, I wish I knew when our samples would be back. Waiting around is the worst.

@Tidybee: I can cheers you again later this evening.

@mrs bunchy: I hope the upcoming vacation will be a great one. I've been talking to hubby about the three of us going somewhere for a few days, to get away.

@simplyfelicity: Tiny bit of spotting overnight but same here, since it's been nearly 2 weeks as well. Still a squinter on the pregnancy test though. I have a sweet, sweet Moscato chilling in my fridge.

@MaryM: Ohhhh - sounds like a lovely night!

@Jess1483: Delish! I love chicken parmesan.

Last night I was in a baking mood. Made crispy pan fried chicken and baked veggies, and a lemon meringue pie from scratch. It was SO GOOD. Leftover pie today, I think.

@jaguar: I finally took a pregnancy test today. After about a minute it was negative and then the freaking test disappeared. Seriously. I left the bathroom and when I went back in, it was gone. Not in the trash, not on the floor, nowhere. No idea what happened to it. It was my last one. I'm not spending money to get a test just to tell me it's negative (even though I want it to be negative so I can ttc). Sigh. I'm just taking it as a good sign that it was negative and hoping my levels are low.

@simplyfelicity: mmmm I love me a sweet Riesling. We polished off a bottle of chateau st Michelle Riesling on Wednesday night with some friends here for dinner. Perfect for a summer night.

Trying to decide....I'd love a rum and cole but no coke in the house. Maybe wine??? Will check back in and cheers you all!
@Jess1483: my DH would kill for a good Nebbiolo. Definitely his fave.

@Tidybee: I have seen that at the store but have never tried it because I am drawn to bottles with funky labels, I will try it! Polka dot is really good and I love Mad Housewife sweet white.

Anyone breaking out post miscarriage? I normally don't but I have been breaking out on my chest and back. I didn't break out at all while pregnant. In fact, my complexion was super clear. I am wondering if it is a hormonal thing.

  39. jaguar

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@simplyfelicity: I broke out when I was first pregnant. Then I broke out last week. Same level of hormones, maybe? Ugh.

I have my follow up OB appt tomorrow morning. Freaking out, and I'm not sure why. Maybe just being back in his rooms where there are heaps of preggos, and where I found out the baby had died.

@jaguar: I hear ya. My appt was 6 weeks after my D&C, and I cried the whole ride there. I don't even know why. Just knowing I had to revisit it again and talk about it was so anxiety-provoking.
@simplyfelicity: No breakouts after m/c for me, and I got them whenI was pregnant. All of my hormonal mess is seeming to go to my waistline. I'm a very naturally thin person, very active and eat super healthy...and I've never weighed more (easily up 7 lbs) and it just keeps coming. Ugh...I'd actually rather have the zits!
@MaryM: what a lovely lovely night!
No drinks for me last night....we had some froyo with some chocolate granola instead and watched a few episodes of Girls.
