Since we've found out that we're having our second boy, DH and I realize we have zero names that we agree on for a second boy. We both really like classic names, but DH hates my two favorites: George and Henry. He thinks they sound like little old men. Any suggestions based on those two? LO#1's name starts with an S, so I'd like to avoid being matchy.

I think you and I have similar taste! Our top 2 (that we can agree on) are Ryan and Thomas.
Eta - I also love Benjamin but that is DH and he doesn't want a junior. -

@NovBaby1112: LO's name is actually a combination of my dad's middle and my FIL's first name. James is LO's middle name, and William is my dad's first name, so I think since we used my dad's middle for LO's first, William is out. Did you get all of that
Benjamin was in the running for a while for LO too, but ultimately, I knew that DH's family would use his full name all the time. After I kept repeating myself I realized I loved Ben and really wasn't all that fond of Benjamin. You naming Matthew actually reminded me that Mark is one that we both liked with LO...

@hilsy85: Are you finding out what you're having? Harrison is really growing on me too. Loved Noah, but I just read that it overtook Jacob as #1 for boys, and not sure I want that popular.

@lawbee11: Charles was actually both mine and DH's top choice until I heard how my ILs say the name Charlie. They remove the "R" when pronouncing it, and it grates on my nerves. Clearly I think a lot about how my ILs will ruin a name for me!

Love your names. darn DH always get in baby naming way. Didn't read other suggestions but:
Robert, Alexander, Fredrick, Abram, Seth, Isaac, Asher, Caleb, Arthur are my suggestions.
For a non-old traditional I chose Caleb or Isaac.
My personal fav is Abram or Arthur. -

I should also say that we have to stay away from Robert, Michael, Nicholas, Lucas, and Alexander. They're the names of DH (who doesn't want a junior), our brothers, and nephews! I also loved Andrew, but then had a horrible boss named Andrew. That totally killed it for me.
Saw another on Mrs. Jack's name list - Everett. I'm sure DH will hate it because I really love it.
Much to my dismay, I think Henry is totally out for DH. We agreed that we have to love the whole name and any nickname that will go with it.
Isaac is rising up there for me, and I've always loved Caleb. It's been in the top 10 recently, though I still haven't heard the name from any of our friends/acquaintances. Is it popular in anyone's area?

@2PeasinaPod: I live in the Bible Belt and Caleb is really popular down here- it's actually my husbands name and he never ran into anyone with the same name until five years ago when everyone started naming their kids Caleb. I LOVE Isaac and Everett. You have good taste, tell your husband to fall in line!!
