@MrsF: Ha! (well not really funny!) We discussed vigorously, feeding last night too. I was the one that caved and made a bottle for K. We normally only do one feeding in the evening and she's fine until morning. But when she had been inconsolable by both of us for 30 minutes, I just wanted her to sleep. And the gas! Since that's already a pretty big deal for us, I didn't want her building up anymore with all the crying.

@winniebee: So... I've been eating some dairy and I think it's going ok. I'm super paranoid about it and trying not to do too much symptom spotting because that's definitely my tendency. I think I'm going to keep eating a little dairy every day (I had half a slice of cheese on a sandwich yesterday and the dinner I have planned for tonight has a little cheese in it) and see how it goes before I go for a giant pizza binge or ice cream or something. I've had some milk chocolate and baked dairy a few times in the past couple of weeks and haven't noticed anything.
I forget - did R seem to have a reaction when you had a cookie? Also - J's poop became less mucousy about a month ago, and that was when I had been off dairy for over 2.5 months, so I think that was just something he had to grow out of.

@MamaG: It's so hard! I either feel like a horrible mama to J or a total wimp to DH J had gone a long time where he was consistently STTN so I agree that this regression is probably more about developmental leaps and not about being hungry, but still...
I hope we all have better nights tonight !

@MrsF: @MamaG: I just tell DH that if he doesn't want me feeding Ethan in the MOTN (or bringing him into bed) that he is more than welcome to get up and try rocking him back to sleep. I win.
I feel bad sometimes because DH feels like he doesn't get to make any decisions when it comes to E, esp. after I said no more solids. That and E can get whiny with dad and then he's fine when I have him.

My DH actually wants to feed every time she wakes or cries. I'm the one that is more resistant, but I have no willpower. In other words I talk a good game

Man I am sorry to all with the crap sleep, I think I am just chalking all her weirdness to not being at home
@winniebee G today got mad at one feeding, guess she wasn't ready to eat??? But it was 3 hrs which normally she is beyond ready to eat! These babes!!
@MrsF: I am with you on the feeding and for them being able to STTN....G will STTN 1 or 2 xs a week then either is up once or twice other nights, so I really don't know what to do? I too will feed her if it is past 4 hrs and it always is....I guess what I'm trying to say is since she only STTN a few times a week I think it's ok to feed her, now if she woke after an hr of eating I would try other methods first

@whenoceansrise: He'll suck on his thumb and fingers - sometimes he will gag himself, and sometimes he will make himself spit up
@MrsF: Ugh I always end up feeding him. Part of the problem is that he has never gone more than 4-5 at night anyway, so I just get too nervous that he really is hungry and needs the food Bah, these kiddos! I'm such a softie.

Forgot to give stats from Logan's 4 month appointment.
Weight: 15 lbs 3 oz
Height: 24 inches
He also has a bit or torticollus (sp?) so we have to try to stretch out his neck muscles.
Got 3 shots yesterday. Has a fever today and is cranky. Woke up at 2:00 to poop so I brought him in bed with us after changing his diaper and then he slept until 6:30!!

We had our 4 month visit too. K is 10 lbs 14 ozs and 23 inches. She down to the 5th %ile for weight and the dr wants us to start feeding her more. But I'm only just able to keep up with the 16 ozs she normally drinks during the day, so I'm not sure how this will work. I'm thinking of maybe squeezing in another session as soon as I get home from work, but we'll see.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@Miss Ariel: Hmmm.....hopefully you can get in that extra session, what about formula?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: No rush!
@Miss Ariel: Has she lost weight or just dropped in percentiles?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Miss Ariel: 16oz is already more than what K drinks! She drinks 12 and I barely keep up and am ready to supplement with formula any day now... I 5 times a day already (AM, 3x at work, PM) so it's literally not possible for me to pump even more!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@Miss Ariel: what a little peanut! E drinks 15 oz at daycare, sometimes less and he's a chunker. Hopefully you can make it work for her/you.
nectarine / 2210 posts
I'm only pumping 3 times a day now so one more seems like it's be doable. I know I could add formula but I'd like to see if I could manage without. She is still gaining weight, about a pound and a half in two months. While she does eat 16 ounces at daycare, she sleeps all night so she only eats twice at home. So I'd definitely rather add an ounce or so more to her bottles then need to feed her during the night.

@Miss Ariel: how much was she at birth? D was born 3 weeks early and weighed less than 6 lbs. at 4 months she was 12 lbs 6 ozs.
nectarine / 2210 posts
@BandDmommy: 6 lbs 12 ozs, so overalls she's about 4 lbs up from her birth weight.

micah has taken all naps in his crib today! & the first time he went down sleepy but awake! not so much the other times though

@Miss Ariel: did they mention fortifying your BM as opposed to providing mores?
nectarine / 2210 posts
@BandDmommy: no, although my husband is anxious to start making baby food, so it looks like we'll be starting that sooner rather than later.

@Adira: sorry about the fever :(. Yay for good gain!
@Miss Ariel: some kids are just smaller! My first son was 5th percentile always and forever. That just how he is.
@FaithFertility: I'm sure there have been comments galore!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Went for it and Unswaddled Ryan and put him in his crib. We were out late and his naps were terrible though. So after 40 mins in the crib he's already crying (sometimes happens when he is over tired). Pressing on!

@Adira: I hope Logan is feeling better!
