That was awful. Ryan woke every 30 mins until I moved him to rock n play. Then slept 4 hours Unswaddled. Then wouldn't go back to sleep til I swaddled him again. Only slept 2 then 2 more.

D has been better about napping but she has started waking up at 4 or 5 wanting to eat. She slept 8 pm - 4 am, 4:30 - ?. She's still sleeping.. I think it's a growth spurt

@winniebee: ughhh gross I am sorry
@BandDmommy: Unlike D I'm sure she is growing lots

@BandDmommy: thanks for saying that. We are motn waking and eating too. I was praying for a growth spurt. We were up at about 3:00 this morning.

@winniebee: ugh - horrible Do you think swaddling him in the crib first would be helpful? We did that for a few weeks just so that we weren't totally going cold turkey in coziness.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: I think I'm going to try that tonight. But he can roll back to belly so I think technically I need to stop.

@winniebee: Best of luck I'm going all out crib I think when we get home, she is sooo loud at night sucking her hands.....she falls asleep but I'm wide awake

I despise Dr Brown bottles and sold all of them while I was pregnant with K, determined not to use them again. Alas, I bought some more today. I'm desperate to get K's gas and spit up under control. I guess I will sell all my Avent bottles now.

@MamaG: Hope the new bottles work for you! I hate all their parts, but we use Dr Brown's too. (Had to ditch Tommee Tippee ones for the same reasons)
I posted this on FB too, but we have a roller now. M rolls back to belly every time we lay him down to change diapers now. lol He also discovered he has feet & tries to grab them now.
These babies are getting so big!

@winniebee: Ugh, sorry your first night in the crib unswaddled didn't go well. How was last night?
@AngelicOne: Yay for rolling and feet grabbing!

We had a rough weekend with Logan. 4 month shots suck. He kept waking up in the middle of the night inconsolable. Last night wasn't as bad though, so hoping he's over the worst of it.

@MamaG: we have a love / hate relationship with dr brown as well
@AngelicOne: yay for rolling and feet!
@Adira: poor Logan Hope he's feeling better!

@FaithFertility: how long does it take her to fall asleep sucking her hands? K sucks too but I feel like she never would fall asleep!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@AngelicOne: I do miss the days when they just lay still during diaper change! Between the arching, rolling, flailing arms, kicking feet... I cant even get the diaper on lol!

@MamaG: Have you tried Windii for gas? I was just looking at it on Amazon and had a HB thread about it. Apparently it works like a charm to release gas!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Yes! I think his ear is all better. He hasn't had any issues nursing and hasn't been pulling on it at all. Plus at his appointment on Friday, the pediatrician said they were looking really good, so I think the infection is gone. We're just finishing up the antibiotics now to be on the safe side.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: I'm sorry it didn't work out! We had been kinda reverting back to putting K down in our bed too just so she stops waking up. I'm so dreading any other transitions/sleep training now!

@MamaG: We use Dr. Browns, I think I have a couple Avents too but we've just always used the Dr. Browns. Hopefully they help!
@AngelicOne: Ethan is rolling belly to back everytime we do tummytime, but no back to belly yet. I actually can't wait so that I can 'officially' let him sleep on his belly!
@snowjewelz: Ethan is in our bed everymorning after his last wake-up, I'm wondering if the R&P just gets uncomfy? He'll go right back to sleep (on his belly) and sleep for 4 hours if we let him. I should probably start him in the crib soon, and thinking after his first long stretch I'll move him to the R&P (since he usually goes 2 after that), and see how it goes...
I'm hoping we're over the worst of the 'wonder week'. Ethan is back to a 4 hr stretch, then 2-3 hrs. Hoping to go up from there!
Dropped him off at daycare and apparently most of the kids have been sick. 2 went home early Friday, some over the weekend, and 1 is out today with diarrhea & puking. He's been fine all weekend so hopefully he didn't/doesn't catch what they had! Ugh.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: or maybe he'll just starting sleeping even longer on his belly once he can roll! i've actually let K slept on her tummy pretty early on since she was able to move her head. I figure it's not like she STTN anyway! but then she grew out of it!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: 5-10 mins she will yell after about 5 mins if she is hungry
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@snowjewelz: Hope so! DH and I are paranoid about the tummy-sleeping; I'm sure he'd be fine because he's always been pretty strong but there's the 'what if'. Even though crib-sleeping on his tummy would be safer than tummy-sleeping in our bed!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MamaG: Hope they help! We have had good luck with Playtex Drop in nursers. Ryan spits up much less after a bottle v. breast.
@josina: hope he doesn't catch the bug! I think they do outgropw the R&P around now anyways....hopefully he rolls soon so you can't sleep him on his belly in peace!
@Adira: oh man that's rough. i hope he's better now!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Ryan had his 4m visit today. He's 12 lb 2 oz and 24 inches. Still a peanut but growing along his curves and it's crazy to think he's more than doubled his birth weight. Hope the shots don't upset him too much the rest of the day.
I slept him in his R&P last night. I just couldn't deal with another awful night. He went down at 7:45 and woke at 8:30 and 8:45 but then slept til 4, then 6:30. We're on vacation next week so I think I'll just do crib boot camp when we return....
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: Ugh, good luck over the next couple days. Really hoping the 4 month shots don't bother R as much as they did Logan. And I definitely don't blame you for putting off the crib transition while on vacation!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@Adira: Glad he seems to be feeling better.
@winniebee: Hope he does well after his shots!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: Good stats R Hope the shots are nice to him!! I agree with crib boot camp after Vaca! Where you off to?

Poor guy

@FaithFertility: poor daddy! DH sometimes works very late and by the time he comes home she's sleeping already... But he is off Mondays and has her the whole day!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: That is nice, he has this weekend off so I'll make sure he has plenty of daddy time
In other news I officially can't nurse and watch TV she pulls off and turns to watch it every time
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Hahah K is obsessed with TV too! She would keep turning her head to watch it even if I turn her away!
