@KayKay: I found something over the weekend that suggested there might be a 20 week growth spurt - which is right where we were last week. Of course, Google will always find me the answer I want

how often should our babies have poopy diapers now? micah hasn't had one since yesterday morning
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@whenoceansrise: It's normal for a breastfed baby to poop multiple times a day or to not poop for up to 10 days.
Logan's pooping every hour because of his stupid meds.

@Adira: so weird! & aww, i'm sorry! hopefully it won't be for too much longer!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@whenoceansrise: Yeah, I remember Xander at one point only pooped once a week. And I always prayed that it would be at daycare because that one was always a doozy!
nectarine / 2210 posts
@whenoceansrise: K basically goes once a day, but every once in a while she'll skip a day.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@whenoceansrise: J was still going many times a day until the past few days and now he is down to once or twice a day. Lots of blow outs though. It's super liquidy and if he's in the wrong position (or the jumperoo!) when he poops - watch out!

@Adira: ohhh man poor guy
@whenoceansrise: should be ok maybe he is waiting for you
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Wow I can't believe she slept through all that activity! I feel like K is a very light sleeper and would never just be passed out like that!

D had not pooped in days and she had massive one this morning. She laughed as I changed her diaper. She was probably like FINALLY!!

@BandDmommy: hahaha, it's amazing how letting that all out can change a mood!

@whenoceansrise: @MrsF: Ethan usually has one, sometimes two a day. Of course it is almost always a blowout. 4 out of 5 days a week I pick him up in his back-up outfit! Don't know how he does it! (we are in size 3's now so the diapers aren't too small)
@Adira: Ditto to pooping at daycare, our poor daycare lady!
@FaithFertility: Lucky on the sams/target trip! Ethan is a horrible shopper, I usually end up carrying him because he gets fussy being in the carseat for so long. I wish he'd sleep through it!
@BandDmommy: E pooped last night in his high-chair while we were eating dinner, he got this big smile on his face when he was done, lol. Too funny.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: K was just pooping once every 2-3 days but then suddenly was pooping at least after every meal, sometimes more... I don't even know if she still has diarrhea or this is the new norm for a while...!

Ryan poops multiple times a day. Sometimes after every feeding.
Poor baby has a fever again

DH got K to laugh for the first time today! Although it was really more of a giggle. But now that it's happened once hopefully it starts to happen more often and more laugh like.

So today is probably day 3 of extremely distracted nursing. It's like a whole different world has opened up for him!
Anyway his latch is suffering and he's moving his head this way and that and my nipples are killing me! Any advice? Will I just adjust to this?

@MrsF: We are there too, I can't nurse with TV on or by someone taking she pulls off to look ....lol

@josina: @whenoceansrise: @MrsF: M is the same way since Sunday. He's down to once a day now & had his first explody-poo that went up the back & was quite the mess (he's wearing 3's too so has lots of room in them)
@FaithFertility: Yay for going home finally!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Yay!!!
@winniebee: Oh no! It's probably still from the shots (hopefully) and he'll feel better soon. I hope.
@Miss Ariel: Baby laughs are the best!
@MrsF: With Xander, I always had to nurse him somewhere quiet to keep him focused. Can you do something like that? But otherwise... I can't remember what I did with Xander!! So no good advice.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: We are having a lot of distracted nursing too. It's like he forgets what he's doing and just stares off and then starts smacking me in the face. Dark room doesn't really help!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@Adira: @winniebee: yeah - I'll try to cut out the disractions. I'm a little worried that if he is used to nursing with no distractions it will be pretty hard for me on the days & evenings that I'm here with the two kids. How will I look after M if I have to sequester myself with J?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: Yeah there's that. Frankly I just have to nurse him in the open, at the park, with toddler TV on in the background. If he doesn't get full from his feedings he'll just eat again sooner. Which is annoying but what can you do.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MrsF: Good point. I have no advice. With Xander, it was just him, so I could shut us in the nursery and nurse and not worry about anything else. Definitely a different ball game when you have two!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: @Adira: we'll figure it out, I'm sure! Glad we have each other to bounce ideas off of
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@MrsF: not sure if this will help, but I've found that sometimes giving h a bright or high contrast a&a blanket, or his jelly cat lovey, to hold while nursing can help a bit with the distraction. He can look at and feel the blanket/lovey, so he doesn't pull off as much. Sometimes letting him play with my fingers or face helps too. Doesn't always work though
In other news, H has started leaking out of size 3 diapers I thought we had more time! I just bought an econo size box! Ha.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: oh no
@Miss Ariel: It will! After K did it, I think she forgot she could, but then started to laugh more regularly!
So technically K slept for almost 9 hrs! BUT I did wake up a few times to hold down her flailing arms to prevent her from waking up. And she didn't eat between 7pm and 5am so now I know she can def go without!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@theotherstark: Wow! We're swimming in size 2! And I echo what you said... K holds onto her lovey and like pulls it and rubs it. She does pop off here and there to start smiling/talking so I just let her and she will latch back on
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@winniebee: poor R hope the fever is gone!!
@Miss Ariel: Yay for laughs!
