Woo 100 pages of posts!
Oh man, now I'm at work and so tired from being up at 4:30....

@Mrs.Lilac: Aww, I like the name Lila So pretty!
@snowjewelz: Aw man. I woke up around 5am but was able to fall back asleep after a little bit until 6:30. I've been having real issues with getting up in the middle of the night and not being able to fall back asleep, though. Yuck!
Sounds like everyone has pretty busy autumns ahead! Our 3 year wedding anniversary is at the end of August, then I'm flying out to the West Coast for my shower in September. After that, we don't have too much going on. I always like looking forward to the holidays, though. Early December will be here before I know it!

Had my 24 week check up on Tuesday, baby is measuring right on track... He didn't want to give his heartbeat, was kicking and moving the entire time! Nurse said she saw him kicking. So cool.
Painting the nursery this weekend a grey-blue color, and just bought a wardrobe for the room, and an adorable wood rocking horse. Leaning towards a woodland theme now... Here is my pinterest board: http://www.pinterest.com/kristyfischer/woodland-themed-nursery/
**Next appt. Sept. 8 (glucose)
Then Sept. 30th.

@PawPrints: Yay! Congrats!! Thank you for updating us!
@josina: We are leaning towards a woodland nursery as well! There are so many cute wall decals you can purchase
p.s I love when this board is super active!

@josina: Aww, love the nursery inspiration. And glad to hear your appointment went well, and baby boy was so active! That's always fun.

@Mrs.Lilac: I LOVE the name Lila!!! And the show Friday Night Lights is one of the best shows ever...soooooo good! It's from the writers/producers of Parenthood. It just has so much heart and is about so much more than sports...it's a really great show with great writing and acting.

@PawPrints: Hooray! Big congrats to you!
@Mrs.Lilac: Such a beautiful name!
@josina: the nursery theme! I've been a bit obsessed with whales lately, but second on my list is something more woodsy.

Sooo much exciting news on here! I love all the names and the nursery ideas
I can finally share our news with all of you. We are having a BOY!
Ps someone else did this as their reveal on here , I am sure of it! Who was it, I can't find it and you totally deserve credit please speak up!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@Mrs. Tea: I did something similar with cowboy boots - got the idea from Pinterest of course.
Very cute, congrats on the boy!!

@Mrs.Lilac: I love Lila. Is it pronounced Lee-la?
@Mrs. Tea: cute!! Congrats!

@Mrs. Tea: Congratulations on your little boy!!! They are so much fun!!!
apricot / 348 posts
@magnolia: no, we are pronouncing Lila as 'Lie-la'. Hmmm, your comment makes me think though... My husband thinks people will see Lila and want to pronounce it 'Lee-la'. He thinks we should spell it Lyla which I am not keen on. We are going with Lila though and I just said she may have to correct the odd person. It it's not the end of the world. Oh well!
Thanks for all the name love ladies! Glad you like it. Choosing a name that we both agree on is sooooo difficult.
@Adira: @sandy: yeah thats the show! I couldn't remember the name of it! Does make me laugh that that is where he got the name. Not the cutest story but oh well! At least we agree now!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Mrs.Lilac: I immediately thought Lie-la when I saw your spelling, but I'm also familiar with the show and character, so maybe that's why! I like the Lila spelling though.

Heartburn has arrived. Time to stick up on extra strength TUMS.

@Mrs. Tea: Super cute! Congrats on your boy!
@winniebee: Boo! I had a bout of it for a week about a month ago, but it hasn't been too bad since. I am pretty sure it will come back soon though as this little guy has somehow shoved himself up in my ribs already. I hope this is short term for you too!
persimmon / 1168 posts
@Mrs.Lilac: I have a good friend named Laila which is why I asked. So when I saw Lila I wondered! It's pretty either way! Lee-la would be a more likely pronunciation in Spanish because I is an ee sound.
A lil jealous of all you mamas cuz I think girl names are more fun
persimmon / 1050 posts
@magnolia: I agree! Boys names are hard. We only have half a name so far because of it. lol
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@winniebee: Ugh, I'm so sorry Luckily, I don't think I've had any heartburn this pregnancy yet? Knock on wood.
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@Mrs.Lilac: For what it's worth, I didn't really remember that character from FNL, but I always think of the pronunciation as "Lie-la" when I see that spelling Such a pretty name! So elegant.
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@PawPrints: 's query about a calendar for their due date group prompted me to update ours - I haven't done this in ages!! Sorry to drop the ball. So fun to see everyone's & & colors on there! It will be neat to see how many of these December babies are born on Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day!

And, the list of updates. Let me know if anything needs to be changed.
Btw, I have been meaning to ask - as we get into more frequent appointments, do people think it is worthwhile to keep the appointment list on there? I am absolutely happy to keep updating, but don't want to make the list unnecessarily long if people think it looks cluttered. Let me know what you think!

@theotherstark: I don't see the point of listing appointments. Thank you so much for keeping this updated! :).
Personally, I'll be shocked to make it to December. I'm hoping she stays in till November. My little man is hoping she comes around thanksgiving so he can go to Disney world with my parents.

@theotherstark: I also don't see the point of listing appointments. So it's okay with me if you cut that part out of the updates!

I've been busy lately and don't have much to add. My appts are every two weeks and I didn't want to clutter everything up so I've not been listing them.
I'm finally starting to assemble the list of things I want/need for this LO. The weeks are ticking off the calendar quickly and I feel like I'm quickly running out of time.
My c-section has been scheduled for November 17, but I don't know the November group, so I'm sticking it out here. That means that I have just over 13 weeks left! NUTS!
Summer is starting to wear on me and I'm feeling tired all the time. I'm ready for some cooler weather and maybe a little bit of energy too.

So, I'm officially 24 weeks, viability. I was hoping to feel relieved but I don't think I will relax till I make it to 34 weeks. 10 weeks... My OB seems to think the progesterone will get us to term. I hope he's right!
