@Mrs. Oreo: I think 12dpo is a good day to test! I don't really have any will power when it comes to this so I'm not the best person to ask but I think that is definitely long enough to wait! Can't wait to hear/see your results!!

Me over here at 7dpo....thinking well some ladies get a positive this early. Haha

@MrsJBeeG: @LabradorLover: @MamaBear87: thanks for the good thoughts. I’m more scared that it’ll be because our next step is to do RE care and we just don’t have the money for it right now....

@Mrs. Oreo: I don't blame you there!
@MamaBear87: hahaha I know that feeling! I'm only 4dpo and did a trigger shot and want to poas...but I know it'll be a false positive so why waste the tests!!

@LabradorLover: my in-laws are coming this weekend and I really want to tell them and my family at the same time over Christmas. So I'm waiting, it would most likely be negative in any case

I’m going to the store now for FRER. Waiting til tomorrow morning is gonna suck ....
Should I sleep as soon as I get home so I wake up tomorrow?!
nectarine / 2288 posts
@Mrs. Oreo: yes! This is the only way I could stop and then not test the moment I got home. Everything crossed for you!

@Mrs. Oreo: totally lurking here but don't wait haha
Wishing you the best of luck girl

BIG. FAT. I’ll POAS again on Wed. This is what I get!!
Fun fact: the old school flat FRERs are being sold at my Target. Did they get rid of the curved handle ones?

@Mrs. Oreo: UGH!! Hopefully it is still just too early!!
@MamaBear87: I understand that...you have a lot of will power!
pear / 1677 posts
@LabradorLover: hope so too! Maybe I'll have better luck when I test again 16dpo

@LabradorLover: haha I've got zero willpower. I just know 7-9 dpo is unlikely to be positive anyway

Hi there! I’m jumping into the fray! After a 42 day cycle last month (whaaaaaattt?) I’m cautiously optimistic that it was a fluke and that things are going to go back to normal.
Cycle Day: 15
TTC Cycle: maybe four this go round? We’ve been on and off trying since my miscarriage last December
Ovulation Date: probably today! 12/9
POAS Date: 12/23 ish?
Baby #: 2
Holiday plans: same as every year. I’m Jewish and my husband is not so we are lucky that we don’t have to fight over which family to spend the holidays with. We do some hannukah stuff with my parents and Christmas Day at my in laws.
Favorite Holiday dish/cookie. Latkes!!!
I got a positive opk last night so we BD last night and we’ll squeeze another go in tonight (sorry for the awful TMI pun!) but we didn’t do it all all before - so chances are slim! Anyone with a great success story of only having a little bit of sex but still getting knocked up?
clementine / 787 posts
@math.nerd: hi! Welcome to the December board. I would say I might be the success story - we started to BD on cd 7 and 9. Then I had a positive opk on cd 11 and we managed to BD that day. I assume I ovulated CD 12 due to some pains but we didn’t fit in any other BD as we were traveling. I really was afraid I’d missed my chance but got a positive 5 days before AF was due. So it can totally happen - it only takes once.

@math.nerd: fingers crossed. Only takes one.
I'm feeling so nauseous today which is ridiculous because I'm only 8dpo. Hopefully I'm not getting sick!
clementine / 787 posts
@MamaBear87: I don’t know if it’s ridiculous. I just checked my journal and on what I think was 8 dpo - I noted I got queasy feeling when drinking my decaf cup of coffee.
Keeping my 🤞 crossed for you.

@MrsJBeeG: and this morning a second drop in temp. ugh! Still above my cover line from home, temp went up while on vacation in Tahoe likely cause of altitude, but I can't help assuming I'm out already.
Haha I feel like more information is just more obsessing with ttc.
Fingers crossed for all of us!

@Math.nerd: Welcome and good luck this month!
@MamaBear87: My temp has done something odd this month too. At CD 10, it went up and I got the cover line like we talked about before. It stayed up for two days, then went straight down below the cover line. It stayed at that exact temp another day, then went back above the cover line today. I've been googling "two-day implantation dips" all morning. I've never heard of that, but apparently some women online have had two-day dips and still gotten a BFP, while others didn't. I can't help feeling like I'm out, and I'm so sad about it.
nectarine / 2288 posts
@afc061018: are you talking cd 10 or 10dpo? If 10dpo it could possibly be implantation dip. Cd 10 you'd likely not have ovulated yet.
Charts really can't predict pregnancy so I'm trying to be optimistic but it's so hard! I'm using ava and my resting pulse and breathing rate are still climbing so I'm clinging to that!

@MamaBear87: Yep, I completely agree, I thought CD 10 would be too early to ovulate. FF and Ovia both seem to think that's what happened this month, but I'm skeptical. I took a OPK yesterday just in case, and it came back negative. It was the last one I had. We're going to BD today just in case, but I don't know what's happening this month.

@afc061018: I feel like as soon as you'd like your cycle to be nice and normal while ttc it does insane things.
My hubby and I keep fighting the last few days of my cycle because I'm all keyed up that I doubt I'm preggo and he just doesn't get it. Thank goodness for hb!
kiwi / 548 posts
@MamaBear87: what app do you use? I understand about DH and am totally thankful for HB too! I’ll tell him things and he rolls his eyes and I’m like no! It’s what really happens! And he never believes me. You ladies and my Bestie are the only ones that understand me! Haha
I had my IUI on Monday and spotted every day through Friday morning. Friday night there was no spotting and the same all day Saturday. Saturday night I had literally 3 drops of brown spotting mixed in my cm. This morning I wake up and definitely had brown spotting that when I went to the bathroom in the afternoon, was totally gone. I’m SO hoping that was implantation bleeding/spotting. I’m feeling very positive about this cycle!! I’m 6dpo today so it’s not impossible either!
nectarine / 2288 posts
@LabradorLover: this is natural cycles. I just started using ava and the chart is harder to see what's going on.
All the fingers crossed for you!!

@MamaBear87: I'm so with you on the being super irritable at the end of my cycle when I realize I'm not pregnant. I mean, I've only done it once so far but I imagine it will be a reoccurring theme.
I was trying to explain to my husband that I want to maybe take the next few cycles off because our daughter is already born at the end of October and I feel like it's already a really stressful time of year and too close to the holidays so really I want a September baby or to wait until at least February but he told me that was dumb. I'm being silly, right? I would rather have kids that are only 4 years apart not 4.5 years apart more than I would rather have a kid who doesn't have a Thanksgiving birthday, right?

Are there any affordable lubes that are sperm friendly? Or should I suck it up and spend the $$$ on preseed?
nectarine / 2288 posts
@Ms.Mermaid: I'm still hopeful! Not out until af shows!
I'm not going to skip any months. I don't want to risk us skipping a few months and it taking a long time to get preggo. I'd rather my littles share a birthday month or be born during the holidays than miss what could be a super fertile month.
But I totally get people who decide to skip months
nectarine / 2288 posts
@Ms.Mermaid: do you need lube? If you don't need it I'd just skip. If you need it I'm not versed in what works or doesn't, sorry!

My temp dipped back below the line this morning, so my crosshairs are gone and I'm back to waiting to ovulate. I ordered more OPKs, so we'll see. I'm guessing this cycle will be longer than last month. I guess the upside is that maybe we didn't miss the window after all...

@math.nerd: I think we're kind of on the same cycle this month! According to my apps, I'm due to get AF around the 24th. I haven't been tracking this month so I have no idea when I ovulated and I'm trying not to think about it...which is soooo hard! Just doing the EOD.
How are you feeling so far?
nectarine / 2288 posts
My temp went back up this morning! I'm so hoping this was an implantation dip. I'm going to try and wait until at least Wednesday to test. Still feeling vaguely nauseous and weird, but that could all be in my head.
@afc061018: hope you get a positive opk soon!

@MrsJBeeG: how are you feeling? Hoping for some of your luck this month
