@patientlywaiting19: thank you. It made a birthday feel like a day of miracles.

@Kmomartin: The same thing happened to me this cycle with my OPKs, and that's usually been my trend. So I definitely doubt those were faulty!

@MrsJBeeG: What an amazing birthday present!!!

Y'all....I really hate weekends during the TWW. I'm so distracted by work during the week that I don't even think about it, but when I've got two whole freaking days at home (especially with no plans!), I sit here at 5dpo wondering if I should test. Nutso!

  6. MrsJBeeG

    clementine / 787 posts

@Mrs. Oreo: thank you! I’m feeling very fortunate.

I totally get the two days at home are hard during the tww. I tend to fixate on what might be going on in there during those days. If you test - at least you know it’s so early that a negative doesn’t mean much.

@Mrs. Oreo: @MrsJBeeG: by far the worst part of being a sahm is that there are whole days with nothing to do but obsess. 😂

  8. MrsJBeeG

    clementine / 787 posts

@MamaBear87: wow - I never thought of that. I would totally obsess all the time in that situation. I feel like I barely hang on to my sanity while working when in the tww.

@Mrs. Oreo: this was me last weekend. I did test. It was, of course, negative. I’m going to test tomorrow which is is probably still too early but if I can tell my husband on a weekend day I would rather.

I know 6 days before missed period is still really early, but I was still not expecting a BFN this morning. I've just been so sick and so sensitive to smells and tastes and now I'm just really mad at the idea that I'm going to be this sick and still not pregnant and then get pregnant eventually and be this sick again for 20 weeks.

Someone remind me that I might still be pregnant, and also that it's much less likely to get a positive test early if your pelvic floor is absolutely destroyed and you can't sleep through the night without getting up to pee and what is essentially a 3 hour hold is not enough to yield a positive? Oh, and that this is our first cycle trying and I'm being such a whiner? Thanks.

  11. MrsJBeeG

    clementine / 787 posts

@Ms.Mermaid: you absolutely could be pregnant. I had a bfn 6 days before my period was due. And a faint positive 5 days (am) before my period - as in I truly wondered if I had imagined it. Don’t lose hope yet.

    nectarine / 2288 posts

@Ms.Mermaid: this was me our first cycle trying I was super whiney and just astounded that I was getting a negative.
Second cycle I felt super sick and smelled everything.
My hubby was actually happy we got to try longer than one cycle. That said it totally sucks when you're in the tww!

And you totally could be preggo. No one's out until af appears! 😊

@MrsJBeeG: how are you feeling? Hope you had a wonderful birthday!!

  14. MrsJBeeG

@MamaBear87: I’m doing well. Been baking cookies all day. I randomly get what I cal icky feelings - mild nausea randomly. Very mild cramps now and then. And my boobs hurt a lot - like they are bruised. I’m telling myself all good things this early but I’m wondering if this is going to be a rough trimester...

I did have a wonderful birthday. Wonderful dinner. But it was weird keeping the news - our friends were talking to us about kids since they know we are trying. And several know I love wine so I ended up with a wine glass filled in front of me. I faked it with two tiny sips throughout the long dinner.

I hate lying and am terrible at secrets. Glad I have HB to talk about all this.

@MrsJBeeG: I'm awful on the secret front too! Hope you keep feeling just a bit icky! 😊

@MamaBear87: I think my husband feels the same way :p. I think once I get through this cycle I might be able to relax. I’m having a rough time with some personal stuff lately so I just wanted this to be easy and I was hoping to be less of an anxious mess the second time around and that hasn’t been the case.

I tested this morning and it was stark, stark white in the minutes after. I showered and there is a super faint line. It’s probably an evap line, right? I didn’t have a evap line even thirty minutes later yesterday so I’m wondering.

  18. Mrs. Oreo

    pear / 1677 posts

@Ms.Mermaid: mmm .... I wouldn’t think that’s an evap line if it was me testing. 🙊

    ETA: what DPO are you?

  19. Mrs. Oreo

    pear / 1677 posts

7dpo today. Back to work so hopefully I’m distracted. I don’t have cheapies on purpose so I’m forced to wait to test until this Friday. 😫

@MamaBear87: oh boy....I totally didn’t think of what SAHMs have to go through then. I take it back!!!

  20. Ms.Mermaid

    kiwi / 745 posts

@Mrs. Oreo: so I didn’t temp or use OPKs this cycle. Somewhere between 10 and 12.

  21. Ms.Mermaid

It is also possible I dipped the stick too far down and went past the max line and that explains the weird result. Amazon reviews for this brand say it doesn’t get evaps but don’t go past the max. I am so nearsighted that FMU tests are really hard for me.

🤞 that it’s a positive. Keep us posted please!

@Ms.Mermaid: I keep staring at it while my eyes play tricks on me I *do* see something, but I'm not sure. Fingers crossed and keep us posted!

It's just about BD time for us. Curious question for those of you who've been ttc for longer and/or had struggles, do you BD every other day or every day during your window? I have such high hopes for this cycle, being our last one before we'd see the dr in January, but I'm going back and forth over whether it's better to stick to every other day or go all-in on every day during the window. Thoughts?

@Ms.Mermaid: i can see a line but it looks a bit weird to me. Fingers crossed for you!

@Mrs. Oreo: the waiting is the worst!! I'm usually fine until the end and then I spend a whole day like I must know! And take a test despite myself when it's too early

@afc061018: the times I’ve conceived - it has been every other day. We’ve tried it all different ways though. DH just prefers EOD which is what drives it that way for me. I’d say go with what works for both of you and your schedules.

  27. Ms.Mermaid

    kiwi / 745 posts

@afc061018: We ended up having to do a few days in a row this cycle and it was...unpleasant. I’m pretty firmly on team EOD. But maybe do ED at O-1 and O?

@MamaBear87: I swear when I looked later it had moved. It’s definitely weird.

@afc061018: when we conceived my little we were just having sex all the time. So I tend to side with people who say whatever works for you!

@Ms.Mermaid: it looks smeary to me. So I'd retest before getting too excited 😊

  31. Ms.Mermaid

@MamaBear87: definitely retesting tomorrow. It occurred to me that I drink so much water esp bc I have been sick that it’s throwing off tests and I may need to wait longer. Mostly I feel like I’m not out yet, which is nice even if it’s not true.

I just got home from my IUI. Feeling very positive about this cycle! I definitely ovulated this morning because I felt the pains in my right side and even the nurse said I had lots of cm 👍

Got in the car afterwards with my husband and on the radio was “Two Pink Lines” by Eric Church...coincidence???

I got the ava monitor the middle of this cycle and it's so reassuring to see my temp spike after ovulation. Hoping this helps me relax some even if we don't get pregnant this cycle. 3 dpo over here and already wanting time to go faster!

@MamaBear87: I googled that when you mentioned it and it seems really cool. If I was interested in NFP or if things are taking longer this time, I might get one.

@MrsJBeeG: Congratulations and belated happy birthday!!! I was out of town for a long weekend and am just catching up on the good news.

Today is the first day of OPKs this cycle so hoping to O later this week as my apps predict. Already started EOD but depending on what day it falls on we will switch up the schedule. I just have to remember to try and keep things fun or we will both get worn out quickly.
