@MrsJBeeG: CONGRATS! I was thinking you sounded totally pregnant based on your symptom spotting but I didn’t want to get your hopes up!!!!!
I would totally wait to tell your husband. Do you do presents? You could be like, “I got you something too!” And hand him, yknow, a thing you peed on.

@MrsJBeeG: Oh my goodness!! I'm soooo excited for you. Can't wait to see your next results.

@Ms.Mermaid: thank you! I really hoped it would be a bfp this cycle because of some weird symptoms for me. But I’d had so many disappointments that I was afraid to hope too much.
I did write a note in a pretty blank card I have (I have a grandma who writes me regular so I have stationary to write her back) and intend to give it to him in the morning. I almost told him so many times but managed to only tell HB ladies.
Hoping you get your bfp in December too.

@LabradorLover: thanks so much! So excited here.
totally keeping fingers crossed for you. Would love everyone to get an awesome December gift of a sticky baby.

@patientlywaiting19: thank you. I’ll post what I hope is a darker frer soon.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you too.

So it is bright and early in Germany. I did not sleep well and I thought I would - thinking I’d get to sleep in on my birthday since my boss kindly gave me it off.
Since it’s about 24 hours from when I thought I might have a bfp - thought I’d post a fmu with a frer. The second line came up almost instantly which seems like a good thing. All in all, I think it looks good for approximately 12 dpo.

How long do you usually dip your tests for? I had just been dunking mine really quickly but apparently you are supposed to stick it in for 5-10 seconds? (Yes, I tested early, I have no self control.)
clementine / 787 posts
@Ms.Mermaid: I think I dip the wondfo for 5 seconds and the frer for 10 seconds. I’m a rule follower to the nth degrees so I do it exactly like the instructions say.

@Ms.Mermaid: no shame in testing early! I have done that some cycles and others not tested at all. Whatever helps you get through the tww and is legal - I’m all for!!!

@MrsJBeeG: I’m using some bizarre Amazon Wondfo knockoff because it’s what I ordered awhile ago since I like to have tests handy. It says 5-10 second so I think tomorrow I’ll try the longer end of that. (Still way too early but whatever.) Though I’m not feeling any of the implantation cramping I did when I was pregnant before, but I might be imagining that that happened.

@Ms.Mermaid: mine might be a knock off too. I got them from Amazon - ones someone on HB recommended. What I’ve noticed the last two days is I get a very very faint second line within the five minute wait but it takes 30 minutes or more for it to really darken to a pink line that you can see. I don’t think I like them for that reason - I’d probably start using different cheap tests if I was going to ttc again. It’s amazing how much better the frer is - the second line came up in seconds and it’s so much darker - I just wish they weren’t so darn expensive so you could use them everyday.

@MrsJBeeG: FRER looks awesome!!! What a happy birthday! So thrilled for you. One day at a time

@ChiCalGoBee: thank you sweet lady. Reading your message makes my eyes water - no exaggeration. I am realizing today that this road towards a baby isn’t going to get easier just because I’m pregnant. I’m so happy but so nervous. Probably doesn’t help that I’m battling strong moments of nausea already. I’m really going to try to take this one day at a time as you say.

@Raspberry: I have! So looking forward to it. I wrote him a card that says thanks for the best birthday present ever - we’re pregnant.
He’s so cute. He says sometimes he doesn’t want kids but then when we were in Spain last week - he watches a video of two women talking about the weird things of child birth that no one tells you about. I think he will be happy but not as excited as me.

DH was so cute. He was confused why I handed him a card on my birthday. He read it and cheered. I went to take the card from him (to keep) and he said I’m keeping it. Super sweet - so glad I waited to tell him.

@Ms.Mermaid: check the test directions most of them are at least 3 seconds. Takes a bit for the urine to soak in
I got a positive opk yesterday but still waiting for my temp to go up. Lol in ttc more knowledge is just more obsessing!

@MamaBear87: I'm temp-watching too. Ovia has given me a slightly different fertile window than FF (Dec. 4-9 on Ovia and Dec. 7-12 on FF), so I'm going to be testing a lot to make sure I don't miss the window.

@afc061018: interesting the overlap ok your fertile window. Good luck on it!

@afc061018: this is going to be a long cycle for me apparently. I usually have a pretty textbook cycle but here we are cd 17 and I only finally got a positive opk yesterday
I have 2 different windows but I think it's just that I just started using the ava one this month

I would like to update my poas date to 12/18. On an increased dose of Femara this cycle and it is actually making things happen two days earlier than expected! Supposed to have a monitoring appointment on Monday and instead, I’ll be ovulating that day and doing an IUI!
My blood test is scheduled for 12/20 at 16dpo so 12/18 would be safe to say two lines are a definite positive (Doing a trigger shot tomorrow night). Finding out if we are pregnant on 12/18 would be the biggest Christmas present ever. That is the day that my father passed away almost two years ago now. It would certainly be a present from him if it works this time!

@LabradorLover: updated the board.
I am a huge believer in presents from heaven from special loved ones. So I am so hopeful that you get this bfp on 12/18. 🤞

@MrsJBeeG: thank you! Just kind of a coincidence that I always ovulate on cd15 while taking femara and this one time it bumps me up early to the point where I could find out on that day...so hopeful! This has GOT to be our cycle!!

@LabradorLover: I hope it is for you - it would be so special.
I felt that way about my December cycle - I know I’d know close to my birthday and it puts a due date close to my mom’s birthday - who has been gone for almost 18 years but I miss her so much and “talk” to her all the time. So I felt like this was our cycle. I was worried it out too much pressure on me at times but it worked. Christmas miracles can happen.
So I’m praying and keeping my fingers crossed for you that this is your cycle!!!!!!!
kiwi / 548 posts
@MrsJBeeG: I can understand about the too much pressure issue...I always look for a holiday or someone’s birthday or something each cycle for it to be even more special but I honestly don’t think anything could be more special than this timing right now so I’m just going to stay positive and let it happen!
I’m so happy for you and glad your due date will be close to your moms birthday. Everything happens for a reason!
