We call our daughter by her full name. Every once in a while I may shorten it but I really like the full name best.

Full name. Some people call him by his initials, but he doesn't know himself by that NN.

We chose names that are generally nicknameless on purpose. Alice could become Ali at some point if she really wants to but she will always be Alice to me!

We almost always use the full name which I am suprised by. The nickname we camp up with is mostly used by family who can't pronounce her full name.

Full name or something like "little guy" or "cutie." His name has a nice nickname that will probably suit him in high school, but his full name is nicer for a toddler.

We go through the list....because he's usually not listening. First it's shortest nickname, followed by longer nickname, followed by whole first name, then whole first and middle names lol. But, he's two and selectively listens.

I mix it up between his nickname and his full name, but I think we use the nickname more. I also call him Fuss (short for Fussface), Cutie and Cuddlebug though. He totally responds to Fuss, haha!

LO2 - I mostly use his proper name, DH and LO1 mostly use his nn. I picked the name because I love both, though, so we all alternate. He's a newborn, so it's all the same to him

99% call her by her nickname (which is just her first name shortened), only call her by her full name when its filling out paperwork or I get asked what her name is.

We call my first daughter by her first name (and sometimes her first and middle together), but we often call my second daughter a shortened variation of her name.

Both! I introduce them by full name but use a nickname interchangably at home.

We call her by her full name, Julia, in public, but we use the name that she calls herself "JuJu" at home. It's more of a pet name then a nickname.

We named her Eliza with the intent to call her Ellie almost exclusively, but I use them pretty equally. Usually because even at 7months her full name seems to catch her attention more, which is odd. Everyone else calls her Ellie though.

One shortened version of his name, two full name- rarely shorten it, I've gotta be really tired.

There isn't a name variation nickname for her name, so if we use an nn's they're cutesy... mostly Bug/Buggie.

Nickname. We chose his name because we liked the nickname so much. While I like his full name, my ILs are overkill with it. They refuse to call him by his nickname. They do the same with DH and my BIL...they always call them by their full names which just sound ridiculous to me. Both go by their nicknames and it's just annoying.
