Full name, she doesn't have a nn. I do call her a few other cute things, but they are unrelated to her name.

both. she has a name that can't really be shorten. I sometimes call her Monkey
watermelon / 14467 posts
Usually her full name. If she's being naughty, we use the first and middle name.

Depends, usually full first name only, but sometimes I shorten it, sometimes I call him a nickname derived from the shortened name.

LO1 we use his full name but I mostly call him chickadee
LO2 I think we will mostly use her nn but time will tell!

Mostly I call her boo or booba. I have no idea why. It is not remotely close to her name lol. If I do call her her name it is her full first name. Although when I talk about her to other people I often call her by her (name related) nickname. Although that may be because I'm lazy and her nickname is faster to type. My husband equally calls her boo, her full name, or a different name-related nickname than the one I use (I use fia, he uses nona-- so not at all close). It's entirely possible our daughter won't know what her name is until college.

Nickname usually, but I will pull out her full name every once in awhile when I mean business. She prefers her nickname and will correct me at times saying "my name is nickname, not fullname"

Our little one's name is already short, but half the time, we just call her Al.

Ellie is just Ellie. I am pretty sure she likes it that way. Lorelei is "Flea" most of the time, and Ellie calls her "Lita Flea." Sometimes we call Lorelei "Lita" (we pronounce it Lee-tah), but she's mostly Flea.

a mix of nn and full name. she calls herself a nn, but responds to it all.

DD is Luna and we usually call her Luna, though occasionally Lulu or Duda which is what my nephew called her for a while haha.

Right now we're calling her by her full name or Bobbles since newborns bobble a lot.
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
She calls herself by a nickname, so we do too. Only about 1/2 of the time, but I think it's cute. She shortens her name to Dee Dee.

Our daughter is Quinn, but we call her Quincy. Kind of a reverse nickname!
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
Almost exclusively by her nickname, but I introduce her with her full name.
pomelo / 5258 posts
No nickname for our LO. Her name doesn't lend itself to it. We add -girl to the end of her name like "Laura-girl." She calls herself "first name last name" every time.

Full name! I do have a million nicknames for her but they are silly and not something I'd regularly call her
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Right now I call DD a variety of things since she doesn't know!
persimmon / 1436 posts
Nickname almost exclusively. She is named after another family member and it helps to avoid confusion!

I always thought we'd call J by a nickname most of the time but I've really come to prefer his full name and i call him by that.
My mom hasn't called me by my real name since i was a baby and I actually find it so annoying.

We almost always call her by her nickname, "Al" ... Do you guys remember the show Step by Step? I always thought it was so weird that they called their daughter Al, ha. So much for that ...

Depends on the day. I use both kids full names and nick names. They both answer to their names and nicknames.
DD goes by her name S or bee
DS goes by his name H or buddy
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
We call him by his first name. Once in awhile, DH will call him by his first and middle because he's frustrated or exasperated. lol
My mom calls him by his Chinese name and he's totally clueless.

We usually use her full name, even though I love one of the nick names for it. The nn just doesn't seem like her. Occasionally we will call her Ayaya - which is what her 2-yr old cousins call her. (Not really close to her real name other than first and last letter. )
eggplant / 11716 posts
I call her her full name 50% of the time and a nickname the other 50%. It's not a real nickname, it's "My-my", hahaha.
Funny this is, if you ask her what her name is, she'll say "MyMy". So cute!
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
Full name. We don't use his NN often. Although he does have a bunch of silly pet names that we say often. Lol
persimmon / 1179 posts
LO's name doesn't have a short form so full name, but I have plenty of non-name related NNs for him haha.
