@blackbird: and @ladybee: Thanks for making me feel less silly. I was noticing the lines, too.
I will give the doctor a call in the morning. I'm supposed to work all day tomorrow, but could take him in on Tuesday. Do you think it matters if I wait an extra day?

@blackbird: I forgot that our office has early hours appointments, so I'm going to try to take him in first thing in the morning. Thanks!

@ladybee: we did make it to the doctor yesterday (despite the 19 inches of snow that fell here), only to have to see the one doctor in our peds practice I don't like. She was nicer than usual, but she literally said that she had no idea what it could be. Well, thanks. She said that there's no sign it's infected - the skin never was broken, it's not hot, S doesn't have a fever, so that's good I guess. She measured it and said to come back if it changes at all or starts bothering him. I don't know. It might be slightly less raised today so I'm going to give it until Friday unless it gets worse. Then we'll either head back to the pediatrician and hope we see a different doctor, or go to the dermatologist my parents see. Thanks for asking!
