@whenoceansrise: Btw I love that wall art along w/ wedding pics! I might have to save that pic as inspiration! We moved in a year ago but our walls are still blank b/c I'm so indecisive of what to put on there!

FF says my chances are high. However it does say that my due date would be 12-25 so there's that.

@whenoceansrise: yay for the TWW. So exciting. As for the due date, you just have to laugh and go with it! I'm due December 11 but I estimate (because of ovulation date) it will be a week later so getting much closer to xmas day. I think you just would have to make it extra special for the child. My friends friend who has an Xmas baby doesn't put the decorations up until after they have celebrated the child's birthday to make it more about birthdays than Xmas so that could work!

@Mrs.Lilac: Thanks for the tips! My step dad (who raised me) was born on 12-25 and he was killed a couple of years ago (by a teenager texting while driving) so I know my mom would be super thrilled if her grandbaby got to share a birthday with him!

@whenoceansrise: That is a horrific tragedy... I am so sorry to hear about your loss of your step dad Maybe God is at work here afterall with your potential due date!

@snowjewelz: thank you! yeah, I'm hoping this is God at work! So I'm actually kind of excited about a potential Christmas baby

@whenoceansrise: They seriously are like dog sisters. Its actually kind of funny because the Yorkie, Ellie, ran away for a month last year. I got, Lucy, the black and white mutt two days before Ellie returned. She was ticked when she saw Lucy but now they are really close. Here is a gag photo shoot I had for them.

Also, I am very sorry to hear of your step-father. I pray that God brings you and your family an extra bundle of joy this Christmas season!

Loving all the dog pics. I'm desperate for a dog as everyone in my family has one and I grew up with dogs but DH says we can't have one while we live in London as he thinks its cruel! He does have a point as they can't really be let of their lead but still... I can't wait to get one!

I am deciding to not focus on OPKs vs not using OPKS...Ugh...this would be so much easier if I didnt get off zoloft this month in prep for ttc. Anyway...anyone want to share baby names? We like Madeleine (his fave) and Camille (my fave ) for a girl and Liam or Ethan for a boy.

@snowjewelz: Did you get PG your second cycle of BCP? Did your period come late? Just wondering your experience as this is my first month and because I am not charting but BD-ing ED (except for today because DH doesn't feel well). I am on CD 11 and I already dont feel confident because most ladies give themselves more time before officially TTC after BCP. Anyway, I was just curious of your experience because it sounds similar to mine. Thanks!

@simplyfelicity: I got pregnant the 3rd cycle. First cycle I didnt do anything/didn't know what to expect. We had lot of stress re: DH's job at the time too, so we weren't really BD'ing either. Second cycle I temped, but wasn't sure when I O'd and didn't BD enough either. March turned out to be a much better month for us finally, so I temped, used OPK and BD EOD and got a BFP! FYI also, for me, first cycle post BCP was the same length (27 days). The it became a few days longer, and my 3rd cycle was 37 days. But it's very different for everyone! My friend got KU immediately after she stopped!

@snowjewelz: Thanks! I really just need to let go and let God. I'm off to do some crafting to get my mind of all this. I really wish I wasn't such an overachiever and overthinker. The plan was to be easy peasy this month and I am having trouble letting go. I haven't even O-ed yet (at least I don't think.) I think I need a break because really, what can I do but BD, live life and trust God. Right? I feel really foolish for being so wrapped up in this when this is only my first cycle. Sorry for the vent, I kinda just needed to get it all out haha. Thank you for your story.:)

@simplyfelicity: I'm having the same issue of wanting to feel like I am doing everything I can to get pregnant quickly, but also agreed to just start out by having lots of unprotected sex. I have been reading up on cervical mucous and CM changes throughout the month. This have given me something to feel like I am doing more without really doing too much more.

Do you do anything relaxing like yoga/meditation? That may also help let go a bit!

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@As Time Goes By: Thanks! That gives me something to look for. I sometimes do guided meditation...tonight would be a good night. Like I mentioned in a previous post, I am weaning off Zoloft, hopefully this is just a phase.:)

  27. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@simplyfelicity: I know how you feel! Once you start learning more and more about TTC, it's hard not to get really caught up in it! But it is God's timing so you can get KU without doing much, or you can do everything and nothing happens. Just go at a pace you are comfortable with The great thing here is that everyone is so supportive no matter what your choices are!

@snowjewelz: You are right, it was so simple before I knew about CM, OPKs, SMEP, LH Surge, Luteal phase, etc...I actually started off wanting to know next to nothing about all this put it is such a slippery slope. I agree that God's timing is everything and mine is nothing. Thank you, I needed to "hear" that.

@simplyfelicity: @snowjewelz: @As Time Goes By: I'm feeling the same way this month. I am finding the emotional roller coaster really difficult. It just feels like I'm not in control at all and that is so frustrating!

  30. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@simplyfelicity: I think you're set! If you're BD'ing a ton, there's no reason you need to obsess over the details yet Both of us have lower sex drives, so for us to NTNP it kinda meant that nothing would happen unless we magically really happened to BD right around O!

  31. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@MrsHansen82: Aww I hope you feel better! TTC really is a roller coaster. I think we all just do what we can, and hope for the best. And if it doesn't happen, at least there are so many of us here to support each other in whatever stage we're in!

@MrsHansen82: where are you in this cycle? Being even newer to this than you I don't have much advice, but know we have your back here if you need to let off some steam.

@whenoceansrise: Awww I know... It's so hard to get through! Do you have anything to distract yourself with?

  35. whenoceansrise

    nectarine / 2053 posts

@snowjewelz: Not really and I kind of feel like it's not going to happen for me this cycle. At church last night I prayed at the altar for God to bless me with a child which I've been in prayer for this for months. Our associate pastor's wife came up to me in tears and said that she had a word from the Lord for me and she told me that God doesn't want me to worry or to be anxious. That he knows what I've been waiting for and that he has already ordained this to come to pass. He wants me to not focus too much on the future, but on the present because He has some things right now for me. Then she proceeded to pray for me and we were both in tears. I kind of feel like God was trying to cushion the blow when I get a BFN this cycle. I mean, He could be confirming this pregnancy for me or He could just be telling me to trust Him.

@whenoceansrise: It's so hard not to worry or be anxious! Every day during TTC I have to learn to trust & depend on God all over again. Not being anxious and not focusing on the future doesn't mean God is saying no! It is a gentle reminder to just let Him work and be rest assured that His plan is better than ours I will be praying for you too! The TTC ladies really have a special place in my heat!
