I don't but had two co-workers that did multiple times and they like it! Sometimes the sizing is tricky... You really just have to browse through all the people's pictures and see what it looks like on someone w/ a similar height/built to you.

Yes--I did it twice. Once for our first wedding anniversary--we were going to a super fancy restaurant and once for my SIL's bachelorette. The dress for the dinner was perfect, but the other one didn't fit (I think it was a free rental, so I only got one size). For the dinner,I rented an Herve Leger, which I would never buy, so it was fun!

I have my first order coming up for a wedding in May, so don't know yet. However, several of my friends love RTR and use it all the time (and look fabulous at weddings/parties, etc.). If you're anywhere near NYC they have a showroom so you can go and try things.

I will for the first time this month! I am nervous and excited!

I've used it twice now, and I love it! I will never buy another dress for a wedding again.
I just rented one last week for a friend's wedding and it was great. If you generally fit into one size consistently, you shouldn't have a problem, just read the reviews carefully because they help alert you to any potential problems. I was able to go to their showroom (in NYC) and try on dresses which was a huge help.

I have an order for a wedding come up in June. I used Mine for Nine to rent some maternity stuff, though, and I loved it.

No, but I just looked through their stuff! We have talked about having an adult prom for my 30th birthday and if so I will for sure rent a dress from there!

I used it for our engagement pictures. BUT...I ordered my first choice dress in 2 sizes and neither one fit! The bigger one was WAY too big and the smaller one had a broken zipper (it just stopped zipping up the last couple of inches), but since it was for pictures, it wouldn't have worked.
So then I got a different dress (sillouette wasn't as flattering) and again the size was just sliiiightly off. It was a teensy bit big in the rib cage, which made me look a little fatter overall.
I'm making it sound really negative, but really it was fun. I paid for the 1 dress and essentially rented 4 dresses. I live in the NYC area and they ship from Seacaucus, so I had them all within 24 hours.
Here's the dress!

I've used it 4 times and think its great! The last dress I was a little underwhelmed by, but all the others have been fabulous. You get two sizes and I read all the reviews to see if there's something tricky about the sizing. I've also used the online fit specialists to help me before ordering. I haven't had to do this, but it neither dress fits, they will overnight you another dress for free.

@littlek: How does it work for shorter girls? I am 5'0 and I think you are around the same, right?

No but I just had a browse through it. Very cool! Maybe I'll rent something for the next occasion that we have
edit - the next occasion that we have in the States as they don't ship to Canada

@MsLipGloss: ooh! I wanna see a pic of you in the dress!!

@sunny: you can put your body type in as parameters for the search. They will bring up dresses that fit that criteria. I've noticed they had long dresses in shorter lengths.
@MsLipGloss: what did you rent for? I rented for a wedding we have at end of month and easter brunch.

My friend doesn't own a dress and only rents them from RTR. I've done it once and would totally do it again for a fancy occasion.

@matador84: The first time I rented I had a wonky postpartum body too. That's actually why I wanted to rent and not buy something, because I knew (hoped!) my body would change. I gave the online person my measurements at the time and it was so easy.
@sunny: I'm 5'0 and all the dresses have been fine length-wise, although I've never rented the longer dresses. Most dresses say the "short" length is for 5'2" and I've been too hesitant to try it out.

I have used it twice now and love it. I accidentally only ordered one size the second time (2nd size is free) and it turns out their policy is if it doesn't fit they will overnight you another dress either same style or new style so you are sure to have a dress if you give yourself that wiggle room. Both times though I was able to use the reviews and their fit guides to pick dresses that fit beautifully.
If you're super nervous you can always buy a back up dress from Nordstrom, leave the tags on and worse case scenario you wear it, otherwise you can return it easily.
@sunny: I am 5'2" and rented a for length dress and was able to wear it without issue. The dress I chose was apparently hemmed in the shorter side anyway so the suggested I get the regular length and with heels it was prefect l perfect. Check the fit guides because at least for some the short length should still work for you if you wear heels. In terms of sort dresses they have enough options and measurements on there that you should be able to find something that is perfect.
