Trying anything new? Nothing new. I've already started testing with OPKs, expecting to have my second IUI next week.

Hi everyone! Yay! So excited to finally get to join this thread after stalking all the POAS threads since July!!

TTC Cycle: #1!
Ovulation day: no idea. My cycles since being off the pill have been 28, 25, 29, 30. If things don't go well in the first few months then I'll start temping.

POAS date: dec 12th, but who are we kidding, I'll probably test a few days before.

I'm heading on a business trip this week which is conveniently when FF says I will O. I'm currently CD 11 so we will keep giving it a go until I leave. I'm not expecting a BFP this time around though - it would definitely be a happy christmas miracle if it were to happen!

Thinking I might take an OPK tomorrow and Sunday just so I know if we even have a shot at it this month or not

Trying anything new: This was my first cycle off BCP so we were pretty casual about things I really just wanted to know everything was doing what it should do. I'll be heading to the ob/gyn at the end of the month for my annual exam.

I would love to be able to tell our parents and siblings at christmas

i was thinking "merry christmas grandma/grandpop/uncle" cards

i'm trying not to get my hopes up to much and try to think well if we're not pregnant this cycle we'll be able to go to my coworkers wedding (that would have been the EDD)

@Chillybear: cute! I'm trying not go get my hopes up either. If I am pregnant it's awesome, and if im not I can go on our awesome ski trip we have planned and get more serious next month.

TTC Cycle: 6th after we lost our daughter at 20 weeks
Ovulation Day: According to FF - 12/2 or 12/3
POAS: 12/18 but I'm not really expecting anything since Hubby will most likely be out of town working when I'm ovulating.
Trying anything new: I'm over thinking of the "perfect time" to tell everyone and all of that. Right I just want to enjoy the holidays and my husband. I told him I wasn't going to be sad this holiday season. We were supposed to have a 4 month old. I still have the holiday outfit I picked out. I'm going to enjoy this holiday season and know she is smiling down on us.

I think this cycle is a waste, but we will still try. However, the next cycle has my fertile time being right after Christmas and I'll be with hubby the whole week before O-ing, so maybe that will be the right one for us. Who knows!

Hello everyone! It made me so happy to see this thread started, and I think the title is perfect.

TTC Cycle: 3rd . Here's hoping the third time is a charm!

Ovulation Day; Not sure as November has not gone as predicted. FF is saying I possibly O'd five days earlier than anticipated (would EPO cause this?), although my CM confuses the data as EWCM didn't start until after the targeted O date. So FF says Dec. 16th, but I'll be testing that entire week as it may be later.

POAS; 12/31. I should probably wait until January, but I didn't want to miss out on participating in this thread, to be honest!

Trying anything new this cycle: Yes! Lots in fact:

*Due to this cycle's confusion, I will be testing with OPKs throughout, not just around the predicted day (just ordered a bunch of the cheapies).
*Will use Conceive Plus lube (anyone else use this?) We've used Preseed, but I like that Conceive Plus has a consistency similar to EWCM.
*I started with supplements half-way through last cycle, and will continue with evening primrose oil, raspberry leaf, and now vitex.
*Told my husband to prepare--we're going to BD every other day. No objections from him!
*Keep it fun--first cycle was a bit more business like and the TWW consumed my brain and energy. Second cycle has just been confusing, and illnesses and travels put a damper on thing. We both love Christmas, so I want to have fun for this season. I hope I can look back at the time when we finally conceive and think, "That was a happy/exciting time!"

@MrsCastro: "leaving it in Gods hands..."--I love this. I do believe God has a plan for my life, and when I remind myself of this, then He has the right time picked out for placing a baby into our lives. That really helps with how I view everything with this process.

@CherryBee--I've always appreciated your positive attitude. I don't know if I said it before, but congrats on your pregnancy!

@JenniMac--I'm very sorry to hear about your daughter. That took my breath away. I'm glad you know you're determined to enjoy this holiday season, and that you'll get a lot of time in with your spouse at just the right time!

Ovulation Day; Somewhere around Nov 27th
POAS; Probably a few days earlier than FF predicts...Dec 10th, my sister's birthday.

Trying anything new this cycle; DH is on antibiotics which probably will make it harder for us to get pregnant this cycle. We're going to just BD once in the high phase and once in the peak phase and see what happens.

I just bought some OPKs from the dollar store today. I don't know why but I felt SO EMBARASSED!!! i turned them upside down in my basket and bought of bunch of extra stuff I didn't need to cover them up.

maybe it's because I'm from a small town or maybe because I felt silly buying them at the dollar store...but at 5$ a piece at walmart I can't afford to buy a whole bunch there!

Anywho just did a test and it came up negative....will take one again tomorrow and Monday. I leave Monday afternoon for a conference which just happens to be my most fertile period so if I don't get a positive OPK before then I'm most likely out before December even starts

@char54: I was taking a regular women's multivitamin up until about a week ago. I switched over to taking a prenatal (only because my regular vitamins ran out). Not sure what's recommended, but that's just what I do! I think taking at least 400 mg of folic acid prior to conception helps with preventing spina bifida or something??

TTC Cycle: 6th in total, 5th after m/c
Ovulation Day: I have no clue. Somewhere around 12/4-12/9.

Trying anything new this cycle: This is our first cycle on 50 mg of Clomid. Hopefully 50 mg will be enough.

@char54: I took prenatals a year before hubby and I were married and then I'm still taking them after our loss in March. That was a result of a positive test in November 2011 and now we are in November 2012 and I'm still taking them. It's good for your body to have that folic acid in there whenever you get pregnant.

Trying anything new this cycle; this is sort of a failed NTNP cycle for me - not temping but couldn't help but to use OPKs. just trying to think less about everything.

@char54: haha! i am always embarassed buying pregnancy tests because i regularly get carded at age 27, so i just KNOW the old lady cashiers at the walgreens are giving me disapproving looks thinking i'm an unmarried, knocked up college student.

also, i feel silly cause i will buy both tampons and pregnancy tests at the same times, so i know the cashiers think i don't know what's going on.

This was supposed to be TTC Cycle #2 of serious trying (after months of NTNT) but I didn't get any positive OPK's this month at all. Unless I O'd while finishing my period (I didn't start OPK tests until CD8. We did get a few BD in but no idea if I O'd or not Next cycle, temping. I seriously doubt I'll get a BFP this cycle... should start my next cycle on the 9th. Womp. Still will enjoy this thread until then! Doctor's visit in 2013 is on tap. And no... I didn't cry while going through my SIL's pictures of her son (that they got after JUST ONE TIME without protection!! -which she will tell anyone) while sitting alone this weekend... wait, that's a lie. DOUBLE Wompppp.
