@jaguar: wow!!! Congrats mama!! Is there something in the water or air (know we are FAR apart). Hurray!!!

@bhbee: Thanks hun. I'm pretty pretzelled hoping it works out.
@yellowbeach: haha oh gosh, he does. I had a panic attack when we found out - especially after a miscarriage the month before. I legit do not know WHAT is in the water but I'm very hopeful.
Tell me all about yours!!!

@jaguar: I was so thrilled to drop by and see this super excited for you!
I'm also pregnant, due around the same time (Nov). Hating the uncertainty of the first tri, but also not sure how we'll manage three if it works out. Barely managing my two and feeling a huge dose of mom guilt - pregnancy is sooooo exhausting with multiple little ones - you are a complete rockstar for going for #4!

@periwinklebee: Aaaah what wonderful news! :o
10 weeks today, hoping all goes well. I just want to do NIPT and get it over with!
You'll be totally fine with 3. It really is exhausting being pregnant with other ones though.. I felt it when I was pregnant with Amelia, and I'm feeling it now. There's literally never a break.
I'm also slightly terrified about 4 but mostly just really hopeful and excited. Never in a thousand years did we ever think we could get a miracle baby!

Due date 12/17/21 (7w5d), measuring 8w0d š¤© graduated to my regular OB. Next step NIPT for genetic testing at 10w. Nervous to say the least.

@yellowbeach: Amazing news!!!!!
@jaguar: so, so thrilled for you and this miracle baby - love this sooo much I hope the time flies by and you get the NIPT back asap. Thanks for the encouragement, honestly I've been having more. mom guilt than I can remember in the past because it's so hard to feel like I'm giving enough to my two littles when pregnancy is completely kicking my butt... I'm super happy to be pregnant and holding my breath everything works, as I'm not sure we'll try again if it doesn't, but also definitely feeling the guilt....

@yellowbeach: Oh hi little bean! Aren't you adorable?
@periwinklebee: I just really get it. I feel literally all these feels. Sometimes after a really hard day (we still haven't told the kids about a baby yet in case something goes wrong) I just want to cry, because I'm like... your worlds are going to change AGAIN.

10w1d here - bub measured at 10w3 so that was a relief. I do NIPT bloods tomorrow morning, and they're hopeful I'll get results by next Friday. A week of baited breath.
Here's the little one looking a bit more baby like!

@jaguar: Amazing!!! Hope the next week flies by super fast!!! I did my NIPT draw Monday, though they told me here in the U.S. covid is slowing down access to precursor materials and expect it to take a couple of weeks, ugh...
with all the feels, i just try to tell myself that whatever happens will feel right in the end... We haven't told our 3 year old either. He just goes around saying "sometimes mommies get REALLY tired", and my one year old makes fake puking noises whenever she sees a toilet, lol....

@periwinklebee: hahah oh gosh... they really do pick up everything don't they? You poor thing.
I did the Percept this time and apparently they test within Australia, so it should HOPEFULLY be faster than the Harmony took last time.

@jaguar: That's awesome, hope you have the results back super fast!

Anyone else here feeling the pregnancy blahs? I've had an off-and-on nasty headache for the past week, which has made the nausea that much worse. Usually the most helpful thing to manage them is Advil, and without that nothing does much to take the edge off. On top of that, DH says he is having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that we are actually having a 3rd, and just seems increasingly unhappy about the situation. He reminds me that he never wanted kids and only was on board because I wanted it - I'm never sure what to make of this or how to respond. Genuine feeling, expression of frustration after a hard day, an attempt to justify why he needs/expects extra breaks from the kids, or probably some combination? My overall mental state isn't great, which just makes me feel that much more pessimistic about awaiting the genetic results and NT scan...I try to remind myself that much of my disillusionment is just pregnancy hormones - I feel like I struggle much more actually with the effect of hormones on my mental state during pregnancy than postpartum.

@periwinklebee: Ugh yes, me. I'm glad out working from home, parenting, no time to sit and relax, and haven't told anyone we're expecting so there's just no break atm. I'm so bloody anxious over NIPT that I feel physically sick.
Big hugs gf. You are NOT alone!

@jaguar: ugh hurry up NIPT!!! Hang in there! I'm struggling against the compulsion to check the website, even though I know they will send an email when the status changes. I really hope the next few days fly by for you, despite the suspense and exhaustion

@periwinklebee: just wanted to send a hug about your DH. Telling you he never wanted kids goes a bit far, but my DH's overall attitude to #3 was the same. Not like they didn't have a part in getting things started . . .
Mostly writing to say solidarity and I think it will get better but it may take time. My third pregnancy really felt hard - I was the sickest I'd ever been by far, I had two other kids and was older, and mentally still pretty messed up from our 11-week loss the year before. Like this was the time I needed the MOST support, not the least! But I don't think he really got more supportive until later in the pregnancy when it was more visible. Your feelings about his comments are completely well founded!
I hope it does improve and that you get good NIPT results very soon to take away that anxiety at least. Rooting for all of you on here!!

@bhbee: Thank you so much I remember telling my husband at one point during the third tri that I actually preferred it to first tri when I was nauseous and puking for months on end. And he was shocked, like "it can't possibly have been worse then compared to now, when you just visibly look so uncomfortable." Lol...But I definitely had no appreciation for the misery of pregnancy nausea/exhaustion until I lived it, whereas it's pretty obvious that being super pregnant can't be comfortable. So thankful for the amazing support here.
My myriad account says the genetic results are under review by a clinician and will be available tomorrow. Eek... I know there are a lot of things that can go wrong at different points, but this definitely feels like a big hurdle.

@periwinklebee: Gosh I hope you get them tomorrow! I'm praying mine are in for Friday so I don't have to be thinking about it all weekend. God, it's so excruciating.
Also - hubby has been slightly terrified of #4 and honestly, I haven't even had time to think/panic about it yet, because I'm so scared something will go wrong and we'll lose it anyway. This whole thing is pretty intense, isn't it?
11 weeks today, and I think I'll get my doppler out tonight to calm my nerves.
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@jaguar: Sending all the good vibes to get the results back before the weekend!!! I feel exactly the same way, in that every time my husband talks about "I can't believe we're going to have 3 kids" or "how are we going to handle 3 kids", I'm like "but we have no idea if it is actually going to happen." Ugh... Getting out the doppler seems like a good way to calm nerves. I've used it a few times - found a hb right away the first time, then a week later couldn't find it at all and that was definitely depressing, but when I tried a few days later I found it again, which was a huge relief....

Negative for T13/18/21 - so, so, soooo relieved! NT scan is next Monday and if everything goes well then, we may tell DS (who will either promptly tell everyone else or take zero interest, lol)

Also, it's a ! I honestly hadn't let myself think much about the sex since after loss it somehow feels weird, but didn't have a strong preference either way, as we already have one of each...

@periwinklebee: AAAAAH what a relief. And a little boy!!! This has made my Thursday. I'm so pleased for you!
Our CC got billed for the test 2 days ago, so I'm hoping that means it's processed... and now to pray that the OB has results for tomorrow's lunch time appt (and gosh, for it to be good news. Far out.)

@jaguar: Best news ever!!! I am jumping up and down in excitement for you!!! And omg, four sisters the cuteness is going to be completely next level! Plus, the justification to just go wild buying adorable girl clothes, because you know they are going to get used four times, lol (I'm seriously jealous )

@jaguar: hah hah, my boy hand me downs for the first couple of years are in worse shape than the cute dresses I got for DD because they were used by like five kids before they found our way to us. Lol, thankfully kids at that age are unlikely to complain
@Jessiemuller88: Thank you! Hope you and the kiddos are doing well!
