Didn't vote because my answer is that I have possible but not definite answers. The RPL testing showed that I have MTHFR, which I started treating at the same time that my RE also decided I might be ovulating slightly immature eggs and treated that as well.

After my 2 CP one at 4weeks one at 5weeks my RE started some testing for RPL

Started with BLOODWORK checking for TSH, thyroid, ovarian reserve....that checked out ok

I was then screened for urea plasma and mycoplasma infections.....

These are NOT tested during an annual or Pap

What are ureaplasma and mycoplasma infections?

Ureaplasma and mycoplasma are among the smallest free-living bacteria. Unlike other bacteria however, these organisms lack a cell wall and live inside cells. However, they can also live in cultures outside of cells, similar to the way viruses live. Unlike viruses, though, they can be killed by certain antibiotics.

What symptoms do ureaplasma and mycoplasma cause?

Symptoms can be "silent" or can cause noticeable symptoms such as discharge, burning, urinary frequency, urinary urgency, and pain.

How are ureaplasma and mycoplasma diagnosed?

Special laboratory tests and cultures (a method of multiplying the bacteria to better identify them) is required. The diagnosis and treatment of illnesses involving these organisms is particularly difficult due to the following reasons:
These organisms require special tests and even when these special tests are conducted, it can still be very difficult to isolate the organisms and treat the patient.
The tests are not something done by a typical general practitioner or gynecologist.
Only a select few antibiotics kill these particular bacteria and the antibiotics have to be taken for many days, weeks, or even longer.
Many patients do not take their medications as prescribed; do not take their medications long enough to be cured; or come in close contact with an infected person and become reinfected.

Well...I tested positive for this...my RE stated it can be a big cause of miscarriages since it can inflame uterus and not let implantation continue....I was immediately put on baby aspirin to help with inflammation and a 10 day antibiotic ...DH was also treated with antibiotics too.

We also during this time did genetic testing and karyotype testing to see if the reason was a genetic issue....that came out clear but,

I was diagnosed with MTHFR, but only a one gene mutation so he said being on the baby aspirin will help and I also stared on a new prescription pre natal that has extra folic acid and is timed released to help with MTHFR

The month I did all of this...I got my BFP

I was actually taking the antibiotics 2weeks before I tested so it was during the TWW

I truly think knocking the urea plasma out and the baby aspirin helped this little miracle stick!

I would def ask about the screening for the 2 above infections the screening is easy just a quick swab in the V

Yes, I'm one of the lucky ones to have figured out the problem (autoimmune). I had at 2 losses in 1.5+ years, and I suspect there was at least one more in there. I was put on Lovenox after ovulation and immediately became pregnant, and it stuck finally. I don't know. I had 2 miscarriages that were very different in nature (blighted ovum and one that had a strong heartbeat which stopped at 8w). My one doctor thinks I got unlucky twice because I have a healthy 20 month old.. My doctor who I had with DD (we've sknce moved), thinks both were due to low progesterone. We are going to speak to the current doctor at my followup in a few weeks to see if we should get tested.

My 2nd and 3rd pregnancies ended in miscarriages. Lots of bloodwork revealed nothing. For the next pregnancy, I did progesterone (previous pregnancy tested fine, but it can drop), baby aspirin, and acupuncture. I don't know if any of that made a difference, but that pregnancy did give us a now two month old healthy baby boy. In my research, I think I recall seeing that 75% of RPL has no known cause.

@Thenetexan: Just like "unexplained IF" I think the 75% is really more of a lack of finding the right cause. So many doctors still don't believe in autoimmune causes of IF and MC and it seems to be very promising in explaining issues we face. Its also super expensive to keep testing every possible little thing. I'm not sure I would've attempted TTC again if we hadn't gotten some sort of answer, I was too scared of miscarrying again.
