I work in the tech industry, which as probably everyone's aware is male dominated. I personally have experienced sexism in my workplace, so women in tech is something near and dear to my heart.

There's a "Diversity and Inclusion" event happening this week to discuss the gender gap in tech and what the reasons for it. It's happening in the evening from 4:30-7:00 and I'm really frustrated by that. As a working mom with two small kids, doing stuff at that time is really tough. I hate to put the burden of the whole nighttime routine with a 3 year old and baby on DH.

Is it just me, or is it totally tone deaf to have an event to discuss inclusivity which totally alienates working moms?
