@mrswin: I wouldn't worry too much about it at this point. Things start to happen pretty fast as you move along!

@FliegepilzHut: I still can't believe you are holding out from testing. AHHH! lol Many women don't have symptoms this early!! So don't go by that. I think I only had an acute sense of smell (first symptom) at this point and no nausea for another few weeks. I'm so excited for you!!!!

@mrswin: Don't worry about only having seven right now. There are probably others that just aren't visible right now. I had way more at the end than we thought we'd get.

@mrswin: I also should have added that I only thought they would be able to retrieve 10 eggs max because I thought the others that they could see were too small and would not mature fast enough. I think there were some others hiding in there that could not be seen on the u/s though, because they retrieved 16 eggs. You'll be able to get a better idea as you get further into your stims.

@Jenn23: Thank you! Soon, very soon!!!

@mrswin: Still very early then (my follies were around 6mm "resting")! I didn't have another U/S until after 5 days of stims...they just did estrogen/E2/estradiol levels at first. FX for lots more growth for you in the next few days!

@Jenn23: @Sunshine1810: Thanks ladies, you are really re-assuring me I am a worrier but I need to just roll with this process, I over think everything!

@mrswin: You're welcome! I am a worrier too! I just looked back in emails I sent to my acupuncturist, and here is where I was at on day 6 of stims:

"I had 8 follicles on my right side. I had one at 12 mm, three at 10 mm, and then the rest were smaller than 10.

I had 7 follicles on my left side. One was at 11 mm, three were at 10 mm, and the rest were lower than 10.

My lining was measuring at 10 mm."

I ended up doing 10.5 days of stims, one day of rest, and then triggered the next day.

@mrswin: I've been trying to remember how many eggs I had early on and can't for the life of me remember. But I do know that when they told me I had 13 retrieved, we were shocked!! I know I didn't have nearly that many before so we were happily surprised. A lot are hiding out, I'm sure. So you'll start the Ganirelix tonight? When's your next monitoring appt.?

    nectarine / 2433 posts

@FliegepilzHut: Thanks! They wanted me to go in early in the stim process because in the past I have responded to oral meds VERY quickly... as in ready for an IUI on CD11

@Sunshine1810: Thanks for looking that up for me.

@Jenn23: I will be happy if there are a bunch hiding out! I start the Ganirelix tomorrow night, the doctor wants me to wait one more day.

@GreenThumb: how you feeling? Hopefully better now. Tomorrow is the big day!! Wishing you all the best at transfer. FX!

@FliegepilzHut: Can't wait until wednesday test date!

AFM- I started Stims today! Can't believe we are officially doing this. It seems like for so long it was just " we are doing IVF soon.. when we do ivf... ect" and now we are actually doing this thing! It feels good. A lot of the stress and anxiousness I was feeling went away after this mornings appointment and we got our calender which I have been so excited about:) Hoping for the best.. lots of prayers this week.

@Mrs.Pinecone316: Excited for you about starting stims! It definitely gets very real and so exciting now! Wishing you so much luck!!

AFM: I'm still under the weather but trying to have a positive attitude. I mean I'm sure "regular" people get pregnant even with a cold, so why shouldn't this work. The only thing I see online about it is that you shouldn't cough when they are doing the transfer! So hopefully by 2pm central time those little embies will be snuggling in!!

@mrswin: I didn't have an ultrasound until my 7th day of stims (I had already stimmed for 6 days). I had 25 follicles ranging in size from 8-12.5. But I think they counted some of them twice. Don't worry, you'll be great!

@Sunshine1810: If they do, you could always get a second opinion. But they won't.

Edited: BTW: I totally get where you're coming from. I'm not saying it's necessarily a good idea....but I deal with my anxiety by rationalizing....and building contingency plan upon contingency plan. But that won't be necessary for you. You're going to be great!

    pear / 1556 posts

@FliegepilzHut: Thanks for the encouragement I think I just need to stop thinking that because my first IVF failed that there is no hope. I know sometimes it can take more than one cycle. Hopefully it will work for us!

@Sunshine1810: One of my co-workers went through 3 fresh cycles to have her baby girl. For her it was a matter of needing to find the right protocol for her body. I hope the next cycle is it for you but there are lots of people who have to do multiple cycles before a
