    Anyone have a name nailed down yet? We've been so back and forth, but for now I think Landon is the front runner.

    @TheSwissWifeStyle: no we don't! If it was a boy I think he would have been named Gavin. We're totally stuck on girls names but the front runner is Francesca right now.

    @TheSwissWifeStyle: Landon and Nolan are our front runners right now. Although funny enough the popularity of Landon has me unsure and I have something with "No" being part of the name in Nolan. We are still in the works but those two are the front runners. We seem to have similar taste! We also have talked about Weston and Holdon. All have a similar feel.

    @pearl: FX that everything is ok. They thought they saw something with DS1's heart and sent us to a specialist....turned out they were just seeing regular anomalies during development and he's fine. Hope everything is ok!

    @simplyfelicity: It's always something, isn't it?? I'm sure everything is ok, and I will be keeping my fingers crossed and praying that everything is fine. Hugs.

    @TheSwissWifeStyle: We somehow nailed our name down almost immediately after finding out he was a boy. DS1 now runs around saying his brother's name. He's going to be Gideon Everett.

    @pearl: oh that sounds so stressful! At least you'll be in exactly the right hands! Do you know when your appt is yet? As for size, they tgia baby was tiny too but not to worry about it because at this age growth is so variable. My LO was also always super tiny on us (which combined with suspected bowel issues stressed everyone out) and although he was teeny at birth he's a big strong boy now. But I'll be thinking of you and your little and hoping everything resolves nicely.

    @TheSwissWifeStyle: @Reese: we aren't 100% yet :s but I think our front runner is Ayla (moonlight). it's causing some marital friction lol because DH is ready to just decide and I still like looking at name books! But he keeps telling people as if it's a done deal.
    I like Landon though, it sounds like a mischievous sweet boy! Nolan is also adorable (I never would have thought of the "no" thing haha)

    @QBbride: I LOVE Francesca!!! So sweet for a girl! What are you thinking as a nickname??

    @ValentineMommy: everytime i hear Gideon I think of that wonderful character on Criminal Minds! He's so caring and smart and lovely in the show that I can't help but like the nane by association too!

    @pearl: FX everything will be OK. There is such a discrepancy in machines and I have no doubt the little lady will catch up on the inside in no time!

    Anyone turning down the GD screening? My midwife almost seemed to encourage me to do it. She insinuated we could do it if I am interested in looking into it, but isn't really encouraging it or suggesting it.

    @fuzzypeaches: every time i bring it up to people "the no thing" they think I'm being crazy lol.. So maybe I am!

    Ayla is such a pretty name!

    @fuzzypeaches: That's where I first thought of the name too! Do you still watch the show? Cause he was recently in the plotline again

    @Reese: I would love to decline it, but my OB strongly recommends it. Blech.

    Great names everyone!

    @Reese: I don't even know if they do it here! Things are so different...I've never even had my urine screened, and the doctor never tries to feel my uterus from the outside. I keep reading all these things in What to Expect....and I'm like, nope!

    I'm sorry I've been so MIA - I have been following along though!

    Found out two weeks ago that we're having a GIRL! So excited. We are 98% sure that her name will be Emily

    @ValentineMommy: it's my absolute FAVE show! I could not believe that episode!! Tears!

    @Reese: I think its a pregnant mom thing I think Nolan is so cute though

    Oh..and I know I shouldn't be buying too much nb clothes, but I wanted to test Carter's overseas shipping. Switzerland loves to tax the crap out of you when you order stuff from any other country, and Carter's will ship here, and the import tax is supposed to be included in the price. So I took advantage of the President's Day sale. I got the order today, and no additional tax! And I'm dying over this tiny little outfit!

    @littlebittyhouse: congrats on the little girl! Emily is a beautiful name! Will you do a middle?

  16. ValentineMommy

    pomelo / 5791 posts

    @fuzzypeaches: Me too!!! It happened basically right after we picked the name lol I was like, "of course this happens NOW" haha

    @TheSwissWifeStyle: Adorable!!! I will say, I had an over 9 pound, 21" long son and he fit nb clothes for a good month. I was shocked!

    @littlebittyhouse: congrats on the girl! Love the name Emily!

    @TheSwissWifeStyle: Love it! I took advantage of a recent Carters sale too. My fav items are the sweaters with the elbow patches! Soooo cute!

    Even when my midwife feels and says this is the top of your placenta do you feel it? And was saying "do you hear the difference between the umbilical heart beat and the regular beat" ....DH and I are like .... ermmmmm wut??

    @littlebittyhouse: Congratulations!!

    @fuzzypeaches: @ValentineMommy: @Reese: thank you ladies

    She will be Emily Faith! 4th Generation with the name Faith - it was my Grandmother's middle name, my mom's first name and it is my middle name. I was little worried at first because DS1 has an uncommon name (Graeme) but I am really loveing Graeme and Emily.

    Does anyone knit?! I am having such a hard time choosing what I want to knit this babe! I have some handknits from DS1 but they are all so 'boy' that I need to make some girlie things for this babe.

  20. ValentineMommy

    @littlebittyhouse: I can knit a straight line, does that count??

    @fuzzypeaches: I Ayla!

    @littlebittyhouse: Awwww yay, congratulations!

    @TheSwissWifeStyle: we are a long, long way from having a name. It will take forever. My favourite right now is Alejandro, but DH has a brother called Alex so he would rather find something else. We are trying to find a Spanish name. That outfit is adorable!

    @QBbride: Francesca is so pretty!

  26. QBbride

    pomegranate / 3192 posts

    @fuzzypeaches: @travelgirl1: thanks! Francesca is actually my middle name too so it would work out well. I'd love to call her Frankie as a nn, I think it's so cute! I just want to make sure it's *the* name since my son was always Wyatt, we never really looked at names!

    @Reese: I'm not planning on doing the GD screening. Last time I was on the fence about it and I felt SOO crappy for days after. I'm just going to try to eat OK and get some exercise (ha!). My midwife is totally OK with it. My son was under 7lbs at 39 weeks and I don't have any risk factors. And really, it doesn't change the management when the baby is born... if the baby is symptomatic for low blood sugar after he/she is born, they will test their blood sugar regardless of size/history of GD.

    Love hearing everyone's name choices so far I love them all!!

    Haven't had a chance to read, but will catch up with you all later. I've had a whirlwind week at work and have 6 interviews for 2 different positions/promotions for the next week! My first one is at 11 today! :O Trying to keep my hormonal emotions at bay. Wish me luck!!

    @ValentineMommy: @QBbride: thanks! interview went well! now just the waiting game! and then all my interviews next week!

    @littlebittyhouse: LOVE the name friend! I used to knit, but haven't in years. I've been crocheting recently, so I want to make a lil something for the new baby soon

    @TheSwissWifeStyle: so so cute! we don't have any names in mind yet. DH doesn't want to waste time thinking about both lists. (And neither do I!) We don't much like the leftovers from last time, so we'll do a clean slate once we know the sex in two weeks!

    Love everyone's name contenders!! And good thoughts to those waiting on healthy news for baby and mama!

    @TheSwissWifeStyle: Our nephew is named Landon. He is 9 and full of energy but very sweet!

    We have to come up with 2 names but thankfully DH and I have similar tastes. We each put together a list and have narrowed it down to a few options. Struggling with middle name options for a boy since our preferred names all end in the "an" sound.

  34. Tidybee

    nectarine / 2834 posts

    ahhh so many people to catch up with!!
    I'm really loving all the names. I think we have our top 3 for a girl and top 2 for a boy. We'll probably give it more time before we settle on any. We thought we settled on our girl's name at like 15 weeks for DD1...until 32 weeks when we just decided we didn't like it as much anymore. So we're going to consult our list as due date gets a bit closer....and stay open to other possibilities as well.

    @TheSwissWifeStyle: be sure to not take too many tags off NB clothes incase you have a big baby like those of us did. You can take them back and get bigger sizes. My baby only wore NB for 3 weeks.
    So I am in the middle of potty training the 26 mo. I have cleaned pee off the floor twice today and just now went in to check on him. OH My! He pooped in the toilet but then got off and decided to play in it. When I opened the door he was soaking wet with chunks of paper in his hair and poop smeared here and there! Joys! Happy Thursday all!
    @TheSwissWifeStyle: thank god I'm not craving or hating smells right now!
    Lol@travelgirl1: be sure to read this one with a Texas Accent!

    We have our name nailed down - Chase Henry. After my moms parents. DS1 is totally named after DH's dad (Holt Fairfield II) so I got all naming rights this time!
