@Mrs. Grizzly Bear: Brown Bear Brown Bear and some random book of first words (literally no story, just a book of words) are ones that my 15 month old seeks out and asks me to read back to back until I want to die....every couple of days they disappear for a little while

For me? I can't remember any books from that young. My earliest memories are learning to read with Dr. Seuss books. I hated Marvin K. Mooney, Will you Please Go Now because it had the word "bureau" in it, and my mother insisted that I could not pronounce it correctly. Lots of anxiety, ha!
