@sorrycharlie: Luckily I only have to drink 24 oz (which isn't that bad), but I'm worried about them running late.
Strange that not everyone has to do it - I wonder if it has something to do with different ultrasound equipment or something?

@charmed: that's crazy?!?! I wasn't given any directions, but I had a full bladder and the tech asked if I needed to go! I barely noticed

@charmed: No water requirement before my scan. With LO#1 I remember having a full bladder from my own doing and the tech let me pee a few minutes into the scan because she could tell lol. This time I made sure not to chug water beforehand.

So I'm SUPER excited! DH and I just got approved for a house to rent. It's 3 bedrooms and has a nice big yard. I live in the SF Bay area, so finding something like that is either really difficult or REALLY expensive. This was not too hard and its not breaking the bank either. We get to move in on September 1st. Guess I better start packing!

Anyone else having trouble staying focused on work? I feel like I'm constantly reading about baby stuff. I borrowed the what to expect when you're expecting and what to expect in the first year books from my sister and along with researching baby registry stuff and googling baby stuff ( today I watched a YouTube video on how to give baby a bath), I feel like I'm not reading anything work related anymore
It's hard not to let it take over my life but I feel like I need to tone it down a little because I definitely won't be concentrating on work once baby actually arrives... Sigh

@MrsHansen82: Nice. The bay area is expensive!! I'm so happy for you. We are in a townhouse with no backyard in south bay area.
But we have a nice common area with a kid's playground. I do wish we could afford to have a house with a backyard though. You are living the dream! -

@MrsHansen82: LOL I think someone tried to do a bay area meet up on HB a while ago but I sort of feel us silicon valley "types" are anti-social so it didn't go anywhere.
I would definitely be up for a meet up though when our LO's arrive!

It's a girl!!
Appointment went well and everything looks great, but baby kept us in suspense until the end (she was being shy and had her legs crossed!!)
Also found out I have an anterior placenta, but apparently that hasn't made a difference for me feeling movement. Although I do feel everything low and to the sides rather than in front, which makes sense now.

My appointment went well this morning - heartbeat still in the 140s, baby measuring 20 weeks. My BP was so low the nurse took it 3 times. Not a concern, but it does explain my lightheadedness every time I stand up! Anyone else experiencing that?
I've also only gained 1 lb (WTF?) at this point, which is shocking to me. I seriously look like I did last time at 7-8 months pregnant, so I don't know how that's possible. But I treated myself to a spicy chicken biscuit from Chik-Fil-A afterward, you know, to make sure the baby is getting enough nutrients
