So many congrats

@septca: congrats! I spent NYE in labor and DD2 was born 1/1/14/ It is so exciting to start the year with a new babe.

@septca: wohoo! Congrats mama! Our first 2015 babe!

Well, Dh is out running errands andI am too hyped up after my positive that I can't nap! According to an EDD calculator, I am either due Dec 31, 2014 or January 1, 2015. Since most first time moms go over their EDD, I figured this would be the right place for me-- if this baby sticks
EDD:

When did you find out: today! 10 dpo!

How do you feel?: boobs are sore, tired, not as dizzy as yesterday, slight cramping

Child #: 1

What type of provider will you see?/What type of birth do you want to have?: I honestly have no idea!

When is your first appointment?: I am going to wait until May for my first appointment but I need to find an OBGYN

What are you most excited about?: Seeing my DH as a father, getting my bump and not having to suck in my pooch!

What are you scared/nervous about?: I am scared of a CP but I am trusting in God to take care of us.

EDD: 1/2/2015

When did you find out: a few days ago at 10dpo but was waiting for my line to get darker to really accept it

How do you feel?: pretty normal for now but getting over a cold and I am still having a lot of nasal congestion

What type of provider will you see?/What type of birth do you want to have?: Ob/gyn, hospital birth, mot likely will use epidural

When is your first appointment?: May 13

What are you most excited about?: Buying baby stuff, decorating, seeing DH become a dad

What are you scared/nervous about?: Miscarriage/ectopic (I only have one fallopian tube)

EDD: January 5!

When did you find out: Friday, 11DPO.

How do you feel?: Good so far! Just completely exhausted.

Child #: 1

What type of provider will you see?/What type of birth do you want to have?: Midwife in a hospital setting. Hoping for a med-free birth because I have a spinal fusion for scoliosis so odds are an epidural wouldn't work anyway.

When is your first appointment?: TBD. Scheduled for May 20th, but my husband may not be able to make it to that one so we're hoping to change it.

What are you most excited about?: Telling people, getting a bump, a healthy baby!

What are you scared/nervous about?: Miscarriage. I had a missed miscarriage in October that dragged on until January and ended me up in the ER.

@MrsMccarthy: Thanks, girl! I didn't even join the April POAS boards--partially because I was feeling a little bummed and partially because I didn't think I'd even get to test until May. But, I ovulated sooner than expected and got a nice end-of-the-month surprise! I hope this one stays put and grows strong!

I read a bunch about epidurals with a fusion, and lots of the stuff I read said that the odds of the epidural not working go through the roof (which makes sense). So, I figure I'll go to the midwifery practice so that at least I'm prepared for this natural childbirth business. I hope all goes smoothly for you!

@mfa_lady: OMG!!!!!! I am SOOOOOOO excited for you. I am not sure how I missed your announcement, but GAH!!!!! I am literally jumping up and down at work.

Update on me: I should have listened to my gut and had a bit more caution before jump starting this thread. My faint tests turned into AF and negatives... so I unfortunately had a very early miscarriage this cycle. If someone else would like to take over hosting this thread, that would be wonderful.

In the meantime, I am doing okay (like I said, there was something in my gut all along that this wasn't going to be it for us). I will be following all your journeys and I wish each of you a happy and healthy 9 months. I have a January baby and I can tell you that it is an *awesome* month to have a baby and a great chunk of the calendar to be pregnant. Wishing you all the best!
