    @ShayNanigans: Good luck!

@ChiCalGoBee: @katieleigh_82: Here is a snapshot of the hcg levels required for the different weeks on the Weeks Estimator test. See how they overlap? If it doesn't move to the next level, I wouldn't worry too much.

@Mrs.Panda: Thanks for this! I've been searching for all the info I can on these tests and haven't found a lot. I'll pull this up on Wednesday to reassure myself:-).

I've been waking up (the past 2 nights) with terrible cramps. During the day I have them off and on, but for some reason at night they seem so much worse. Anyone else dealing with that as well? I'm not sure if it's gas cramps, constipation cramps or baby cramps?

@Mrs.Panda: thank you for that info I'm hoping to get my first beta done today and then my repeat on Wed. as it is very important that I start my lovenox injections immediately, but they won't start them until 2 positive betas.
@DeannaY1230: I have been pretty crampy the last several days, but haven't noticed them being worse at any particular time of day. I am however dealing with some insomnia for the past couple of weeks. No matter how tired I am, I have been waking up at anywhere from 4-5am every night and am not able to get back to sleep.

Oh the nausea! It hit me like a brick wall yesterday! I have not thrown up yet, I HATE throwing up, but oh my goodness. I came home from family dinner and could barely function! I went to bed and just curled into the fetal position the best I could and just laid there. I woke up several times last night, and am still this morning. I have a banana, dry toast and mama morning tea spread around me. I cant be sick all of this week! This is my craziest week all year!

Omg, this is so gross I can't believe I'm sharing it but it was so upsetting I have to. I just took the bus to the gym and I was feeling really sick all of a sudden so I got off early because normally the fresh air helps and then I just threw up all over the sidewalk. So of course, I feel terrible about that and now I'm sitting at the gym trying to figure out if this is food poisoning or normal. And I'm grouchy because I'll probably skip my workout.

@MrsScottish: my heartburn has been a lot worse lately. So far no real nausea (knock mm on wood) except yesterday after church we were on our way to have lunch and I felt so sick to my stomach while in the car, but was fine once we got to the restaurant. Then after I felt the same way while driving home....I blame dh's crazy driving lol.

Just called my regular gyn and I am going in for my first blood draw in about an hour! Super excited/nervous!!

@katieleigh_82: one of my first pregnancy clues was heartburn! I think I had taken 4 tums in my life prior to Feb. I was popping them like candy, especially at night. DH kept looking at me weird and asking "maybe..." I told him, nope, not possible, to early. 4 days later I peed on a stick 6 days prior to AF expected arrival and I got 2 blazing positives.

    Question:
According to LMP (January 29th) I am due November 5th.
I know I ovulated on CD 7 or 8 because I was testing and tracking CM. I got as positive as I ever had (I never got raging positive OPK`s) on CD 8, and then on 9 it was lighter. I continued testing until CD 12 and it was faint by then. Previous cycles I ovulated on CD 10-11. So if we say I ovulated on CD 8, which would have been Friday FEb 6th... then what is my due date??!?! (would I just subtract 6 days, which would make me October 31st? )
According to my doc and LMP I am 6 weeks on Wed, I have been using Saturdays as my weekly progression. I know in the end it doesn`t matter as baby will come when it wants to... Just curious!

@MrsScottish: I have always had issues with heartburn, but it has definitely gotten worse, I was just so prepared for another BFN that I didn't even associate it as a pregnancy symptom.

    cherry / 173 posts

@MrsScottish: and in response to the due date thing, I'm still trying to figure that out as well. From what I understand docs tend to base it solely on your LMP. I think once they do an US they sometimes will change your date based on the scan...nit sure but excited to figure all that stuff out!

My daily (addiction) reassurance. Cannot believe I still have 18 days to wait until I see OB, and that I won't even get an ultrasound that day. So much waiting!!

  14. ChiCalGoBee

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@MrsScottish: Blergh, I'm in the same boat. I have a rough idea that weekly changeover for me is Tues/ Weds based on when I think I O'd. However, I'm going to keep that rough idea in mind and then figure that an ultrasound is a pretty accurate way (from what I understand) of dating the pregnancy pretty precisely?

@ChiCalGoBee: thank you .I feel you on the waiting thing. I just spoke with the nurse at my OB's office and they said as soon as both of my blood tests are back to have them faxed and as and long as they are doubling or close to it they will call ih the prescription for my lovenox. She said based off my blood results they will mm have a better idea of how far along I am. They will then schedule an appointment for a few weeks from now as she said they don't do an appointment until the fetus is viable/has a heartbeat. She said I will see the doc and have an US the same day. So I'm thankful that they will do it all that day.

Thanks for the warm welcome ladies! I'm waiting on the results of my first betas today, and keeping my fingers crossed for doubling levels when I go back on Wednesday.

@mariej: Ugh, the headaches! They plagued me all weekend. Hopefully they let up soon, although I'm grateful they're nowhere near as intense as the headaches I had while on FSH injections.

@mrs.mermaid: glad to know I'm not alone in the never ending thirst! Usually I have to force myself to drink water, but now I can't get enough.

@KATIELEIGH_82 and @KBM1026 Welcome! Wow, so many of us due on the 16th!

@hardtoconcentrate: ::waves:: yay, another NC'er! What part of the state? I'm in Raleigh. Good luck at your u/s appointment!

@mrs bunchy: so happy to see you over here!

@Mrs.Panda: the calendar is so great, thank you for doing this! We are team "find out the sex as soon as possible!" LOL

@ChiCalGoBee: @katieleigh_82: another anxious CB weeks estimator tester here too! Yesterday at exactly 4 weeks it said 1-2 weeks, so I can't wait to see it go up. @Mrs.Panda: that chart is great, thanks so much for posting it!

@MrsScottish: @mrs.mermaid oh no, sorry to hear about the nausea!

@ShayNanigans: @katieleigh_82: good luck on your betas today!

Whoo hoo! First beta is at 198 (4w1d) and my P4 was at 21. I've got a history of low progesterone, so am so glad the P4 was in normal range, although I'll likely have to remain on the progesterone supps.

@Sprite: Yeah the 16th is a very busy day around here!! Thank you, I'm anxiously awaiting the phone call with today's results, my Dr. ordered them to be run stat, but my luck she'll call while I'm napping. I have to work tonight and should already be in bed but I just can't turn off my brain right now!

I haven't even shared the irony of my situation with you guys yet as I have mainly been posting on my tablet or cell and it's just too long to type on those. Now that I'm sitting at the computer I'll share my story. I have a known diagnosis of endometriosis, along with 2 genetic clotting disorders that put me at increased risk of miscarriage and as I previously mentioned I will be placed on lovenox injections daily for my entire pregnancy. I have been taking a low dose aspirin along with a prenatal and a supplement called folgard since August. Because of my history, after our 6th cycle trying was a BFN my OB referred me to a RE for fertility testing. I saw the RE last Tues. at 9 DPO and even took a test that morning just to be certain I was not pregnant. It must have been too soon for me because it was a BFN. So I saw the RE and he decided we need to start off pretty fast with testing. He ordered an US for this week and an HSG immediately after. He also scheduled me for a laparoscopy for next week, as well as a SA for DH. Imagine my shock when Sat. the day AF was due to arrive I got a BFP!! I called today to cancel all of the tests and the nurse at the office said you would be surprised at how often that happens lol. DH and I keep laughing about it because we were all prepared for that long road and now we have to re-prepare ourselves for this new road that we didn't think we would get to for awhile!

@katieleigh_82: I'm debating being a little obnoxious and calling to see if we can schedule for the same day, no matter what their "policy" is. My husband has a pretty demanding job, and to have him miss work twice in the same week for two separate appointments seems really dumb. I don't want to be pushy, but it is MY body and MY time. This OB comes highly recommended from a neighbor (and is really close to both home and work), but I also want to feel like they care about me as an individual instead of just treating me like one of the masses they have to deal with.

Sorry, rant over. Hormones raging just a bit today!

@MrsScottish I think dating by LMP tends to be inaccurate when you are dating somebody who has recently come off hormonal BC. So I would just talk it over with your GP and then know that it's sort of a soft date anyway. Like, when I go in, if they do give me October 31st as a due date, I'm still going to think of it as November 3rd and if I'm early, then yay, I didn't sit around feeling grouchy about being past my due date.

  23. katieleigh_82

    cherry / 173 posts

@ChiCalGoBee: I would! You have to advocate for yourself and if they're as good as an the recommendations you received they should accommodate you. I'm in the same boat with my dh he cannot get time off work very often because they're so short staffed right now. So I'm glad that they will do it all on the same day or I probably would have done the first visit alone in order to have him there for the scan which I for sure don't want him to miss!

Whew and yay. First beta is 316, progesterone at 47.6. I freaked out last night because I was bleeding a bit, but the nurse thinks it was just the Endometrin that I am on. (Applicator three times per day = irritated lady parts)

I am still wondering if it's twins (!) 316 seems high.

@Ms.Mermaid: haha I just had to laugh and send you a hug about puking in public today. In week 5 I was driving to work and had to swerve into a cemetery car park and throw up! It was either than or in my handbag so I think I made the right choice. Feel better!

@Mrs tartan: That's horrible, I already have a fear of puking it's the worst thing to me but the thought of it happening in a public place I don't even want to think about it lol!

@katieleigh_82: That is quite a story to your BFP! I bet you are so happy to not have to go through those additional tests now too. Also, yay for great beta numbers! Hopefully Wednesday brings more great news.

@ShayNanigans: yay on great numbers for you too! And how exciting if it turned out to be twins! Or, you know, terrifying, depending on your point of view. I was just googling beta levels this morning and at week 4 it seems there is kind of a huge range that is considered within "normal." I guess a lot of it has to do with what day you implanted. I can't wait to hear what your Wednesday numbers are, it will be so exciting to see if they more than double and your twin watch continues!

@Mrs tartan: uh, I'd say puking anywhere BUT your handbag is preferable! LOL

@Sprite: fx for great numbers for beta #2 for you on weds!

@ShayNanigans: That's is awesome, fx and looking forward to your next set as well!!

Yeah I've got an interesting story to say the least. A lot of people knew that I had all these procedures scheduled so now I have to come up with a lie about having to reschedule them as we don't plan on telling people just yet. I'm thinking I'll just say my period was a day or 2 late and so because I have to be at a certain point in my cycle to do them we had tomm postpone until next cycle....

@DeannaY1230: I definitely get more crampy at night and I've been woken up by cramps. It lasted for 3 or 4 days and then passed.

@MarieJ: Congrats on the results! That's great news.

@ShayNanigans: Great first beta! Fingers crossed that the next results are just as good.

@MrsScottish: Yuck, sorry you've been so sick. That sounds miserable. Have you tried ginger or peppermint? They're supposed to help. Hope this phase passes soon.

@Ms.Mermaid: OMG, I'm sorry you're so sick. I hope it passes quickly! That sounds awful.

    @katieleigh_82: Awesome beta results!

@Sprite: So glad the test results were good!

AFM, just wanted to update about my appointment today - everything was great! We heard an amazing little heart beat thumping away at 127bpm. Can't wait for you guys to hear your little ones - it was surreal. The doctor says I'm measuring ahead at 7w0d today, which puts me at a 10/27 due date. I'm going to stick around the Nov. board if that's ok because I'm already getting to know you guys and with this being my first child, I'm sure I'll probably run late. Anyway, today went so well and I feel like I can relax a little. DH and I are flying out tomorrow at 5am for vacation in FL so I'll be checking in from my phone here and there but probably infrequently till we get back. Hope you all have a great week!
