What are you most excited for? Currently, telling my husband. Although I'm also really nervous about that. Cue the scene from Friends where Phoebe is like, "that guy has no idea you're about to change his life".
What are you most scared for? Feeling this nauseated every day for the next three months. Also, maternity suits. Oh, and stretch marks.
Symptoms so far: Nausea, some cramping last week, headaches, acne.

Yes the hockey announcement was me. My DH has played since a kid, I have been taking a womens learn to play hockey program since Sept. DH wants me to stop playing now. I want to play for a few more weeks, pendin I feel good etc.
We shall see.

I am just having cramps, pulling tugging feeling, extreme fatigue for 2+ weeks and heart burn. We told DH best friend last night, who are 3 months pregnant. They are so excited to have a friend pregnant as well. So nice to have someone to talk too!!

@MrsScottish - I play hockey and I'm still playing! I played last week and yesterday and I have a game today and hopefully my teammates will win in the playoffs so I have a game in two weeks too! I have felt fine playing and it even seems to be helping with my nausea a lot. I did get checked yesterday and fell straight forward onto my belly, which made me totally freak out (and of course I can't tell anyone why) and have a total panic about continuing to play, but I think that's just a sign that my emotions are coming unhinged.
I had some cramps this morning, which really freak me out, and I'm trying to get my nausea in check. I went to the library today and checked out What To Expect and The Stress Free Pregnancy. Stress Free Pregnancy is very ill-named and instead is like, "we will go into great detail about how horrible an ectopic pregnancy is and make you feel like you surely have one." So I stopped reading that one. I'm also just kind of freaking out that this was too easy and won't stick.

Wow!! Glad we have something in common!! Yeah I am not playing in games, it is skills and skating drills. That's why I think I can still play!
I have had mild cramps last night and today. Nothing more then period cramps. I have just normally taken a Motrin by now!! I am taking it easy which seems to help. Kind of nervous about them but I have no control over these things so I just have to relax and take it easy. Phoning my gp tomorrow to get in.
I am currently sitting at my parents house with them and my grandma. Killing me not saying anything!! DH is at work so it's just me here.
Have you told anyone!???

Hi! I'm brand new to hellobee and super excited to be here. This was always my planned go-to once I got a BFP, which took a long time (19 cycles), so I can't believe I'm actually here. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

When is your first appointment? I am high risk for ectopic so I have an early u/s on Thursday at 5w1d to check for that. Then I have my first u/s to hear the heartbeat in a couple weeks at 6w5d.
What kind of birth do you want? I'm not really sure right now. I realized today I have a lot to think about!
What are you most excited for? I can't wait to just be pregnant. I've wanted this for almost 2 years so it's surreal that it's actually happening.
What are you most scared for? A miscarriage or unhealthy pregnancy.
Symptoms so far: Very hungry and a little nauseous here and there...and I'm exhausted!

@MrsScottish So my best friend is a figure skater and she was allowed to figure skate until 16 weeks. I would guess that doing skills and drills isn't any worse than figure skating, safety wise. Just bring an extra bottle of water - I was really hot and tired out at our game tonight and I wished I had brought two water bottles instead of my usual one. And no, we haven't told anyone yet. A couple of my good friends had miscarriages and I know it was really hard on them to have to tell multiple people what happened, so our plan is to wait until after the first ultrasound to tell anyone. I'm going on vacation with my nosy family next weekend though, so I might get figured out.

@Ms.Mermaid: I don't think I can wait till an ultrasound!! Unless there is something going on, it is common to only have one at 18-20 weeks!!
My moms 60 th Is in 3 weeks. My plan right now is to tell my parents threw and then tell DH's mom. That's it for now. Regardless if something happened we would tell them.
I am still having cramps. They have been almost consistent since last evening. Feel like my normal period cramps but with pulling. Weird feeling, and getting annoying. Don't know what I could do to make it feel better. My normal period course would be heating pad and Motrin!!

Phoned my gp's office again this morning, left a message. Still waiting. I don't see a ob-gyn, my gp is a family doctor. One of my first questions though is do I stay with her the whole way or do I get referred. I am open to both, but she has known me all my life and I know she does do pre-natal and post-natal as long as everything is ok. Plus she is close to home and work and will take me after work so I don't have to miss time!!
We shall see.
Still having cramping, but today it is more of a feeling like I did a wicked ab workout on the weekend. As I said to my dh, I am happy and cautiously hopeful. I am a very open person and it is killing me not saying anything to people at work. I am a teacher so in March we start planning for next year. That will be hard!! Our spring break is the first week of April, so my plan, pending everything goes ok and I am not puking my brains out before then, is to tell co-workers after that. I would be 10 weeks then. But right now I am taking it one day at a time.

@MrsScottish: We're having a lot of trouble keeping it to ourselves too. We've already told our immediate families and closest friends. We were TTC for a year and a half, and those people knew about our struggles, so they were already in the loop. Plus we told our friends so early because we're all going skiing/snowboarding this wknd, and I'm not not skiing or drinking because I'm pregnant, so there was really no way to hide it! While it would be awful to have to tell them if we had a loss, those would be the people who would be there to support us through that.
I teach at a university and I'm trying to figure out how to plan for next semester, too. I'd like to tell my department chair sooner rather than later since this will impact the Fall schedule....but it's too early right now.

oh my the nausea!! It has hit me like a brick wall today. So bad! I have been trying all day to keep myself together in front of 19 grade 2 and 3 students!! ALl I want to do is curl into bed! I have not thrown up yet, (but I hate to and fight it....) I have had 2 cups of ginger tea, a ginger candy, and am currently eating crackers....

I had really bad nausea last week - I found that eating small amounts frequently helped, although ginger did not have the magical effects the internet suggested. I found graham crackers and milk to be helpful though.
I've heard that exercise helps with nausea and my experience has been that I have less nausea on days that I exercise, particularly for a long duration or getting my heart rate up. I have no idea why that is, it makes no sense to me.
My nausea comes and goes for the time being but isn't as bad as it was the first two weeks, but now I'm just nervous something is wrong.
I am super-super tired today though. I stayed up later than usual and got up a bit earlier than I have been, so I'm feeling particularly exhausted and I have a meeting after work that's going to go until 8pm!!! Noooooooooooooooooo.
But! the meeting is right near the bookstore and I think I'm going to pick up a pregnancy journal. I feel like I should have a place to make notes about how I feel, etc. Is anyone else doing this? Somebody on another board said they were using Shutterfly, since they have a pregnancy photo-book template, and I tried that and will definitely fill it in as we go, but decided I wanted a private place to keep track of symptoms/questions/issues.

What are you most scared for? Staying at home with 2 under 2! DD turns 1 next week.
Symptoms so far: none
So excited to be here! I highly recommend taking Unisom before bed for nausea, helped keep me from waking up in the middle of the night wanting to both eat and puke! But I did end up taking Zofran finally. Hopefully we all puke as little as possible during the next 9 months.

Went to my gp on Tuesday (finally she called back and they had an opening, so I slipped in). My GP has know me since birth, she was supposed to deliver me!!! When I told her I was preg she went "yeah!!" and was so excited! It was really nice to see, then she switched back to doctor mode and went through all the dos and donts, and 1/5 women experience miscarriage etc. She then followed it with -but I know you are a very realistic person so you understand this.
I was sent for blood (oh 5 viles of blood)and urine. I am not good at donating... my veins do not like giving. My veins almost always collapse and they are small and deep. I stopped donating 3 years ago because they would get half a bag/ 1/4 bag and I would collapse which is then a waste of blood. 
I go back on Monday afternoon for my first pre-natal. Kind of excited, but I am still taking it one day at a time. Every time I go to the bathroom I still expect to see blood, every twinge I think..... I am feeling pretty good though. All this week from about 8-12 I have mild nausea, which can be difficult in front of 19 grade 2/3 students, but I have survived so far!! We have still only told 2 friends (one friend at work who I know I can trust and she is very knowledgable, and DH`s best friend and husband who are 3 months pregnant. We are so excited to be preg together and have kids 2 months apart... if everything works)
Still debating when to tell our parents, we will tell them soon. Sometime in the next 2 weeks pending how I feel. I was with my mom for 1.5 hours yesterday and it was so hard!!! She can read me like a book to so I am struggling!!! Her birthday is mid March so I want to do it around then and give her a special gift! As per my MIL, I wanted to think of something sweet but DH says, nope lets just tell her (meaning he wont be able to contain himself long enough to do something sweet!) I have a grandma picture frame and mug for her though!

@tororojo and @DeannaY1230 Congratulations and welcome! So excited to have more of us here!! @tororojo, that is a great age difference - my sister and I are 18 months apart and we're super-close.
@MrsScottish Ugh, I feel you on the nausea in front of students - I'm a lawyer, so I had to get up in court on Tuesday in front of the Judge and nearly passed out from feeling nauseated and dehydrated, but thank goodness somebody had refilled the courtroom water jug and so I could gulp water while I tried my case. If I get really bad morning sickness later in the first trimester, I think I'm going to have to let some of the Judges know. We're waiting until late March/April to tell our parents - his parents are big tea drinkers so I want to get them "grandma" and "grandpa" mugs and then visit them for a weekend and when it's tea time, give them their tea in their new mugs and see how long it takes them to notice. I'm going to tell my gym buddy (we lift weights together and I had a really hard time yesterday because I was SO TIRED but I don't want to tell her this early) and my sister after our first doctor's appointment.

@MrsScottish: That's so nice you're close with your doctor. I too have a similar situation. My OB/GYN happens to be mine, my mom's and my grandma's OB/GYN as well. I'm looking forward to seeing her in a few weeks. I'm also taking everything one day at a time. DH and I are still very cautious because like you, every time I pee - I'm afraid I'll see blood. I'm not even late for my period yet. It's due Monday/Tuesday. I've taken about 5 pregnancy tests and they'll all been positive. I test each day though to see if the line gets darker (I know it seems crazy!) But about 5 days ago I had a little bit of spotting. When I talked to the receptionist at my OB/GYN - she said it was very normal, especially this being my very first month off birth control!
I'm so glad I've found this site. I look forward to reading all of your stories and the journey we're all beginning!

Argh my OB's office just called me to reschedule my initial appointment. When they first scheduled it, I was like "that sounds too early" and the woman scheduling it was like "you'll be 7 weeks so that's fine, we like to see you around 8 weeks." So now my first appointment isn't until April 7th! BUT she did confirm that they will do a sonogram then, and I'll be 10 weeks, so should be able to make sure everything is okay. (Although that is a long time to wait if the egg disappears but the placenta keeps developing without me knowing, so that's another cause for worry.) I think we're looking at a really long time before we tell anybody, because I'm not going to tell our families until after the first sonogram.

@DeannaY1230: I have had a little bit of spotting, too! Actually, when I first saw it on Tues I figured it was my period, put in a tampon and went on with my day. But the tampon was clean so I scratched my head, got prayerful and POAS the next morning! I spotted a little today as well. I think the general consensus is that a little first tri spotting is okay if it's not heavy or bright red, but you never know! It will be great to hear a heartbeat in a few weeks and exhale.
@Ms.Mermaid: Boo for rescheduling! April 7 seems a long way away but I bet it will pass quickly. Mine is scheduled for March 20 and I assume I'll get an US as well. They will probably be transvaginal, which is soooo not fun! But fun to see baby and hopefully the heart beating- I wanna say 7-8 weeks is around the time we heard one with DD. I think my appt will be too early for it.
Anybody excited for warm weather maternity clothes?

OMG, I'm just excited for warm weather period! It was 12 degrees here this morning!!!
Also, my skirt did NOT fit when I put it on this morning. The jeans I wore were fine, but when I changed into my skirt for court, normally it sits across my hips and it's super tight and then it keeps riding up. Is anyone else super bloated?

I don't think I'm bloated, but I wear jeans or sweats pretty much every day and I don't think either of those would make it obvious. Also I'm at the weird phase of weaning DD while beginning a pregnancy- I expected to gain a little weight from not nursing as much, but combine that with a bun in the oven and I don't know what will happen! I might gain 10 lbs in a week or something. 
Anyone having food cravings or aversions? I'm trying to quit my Dunkin Donuts habit at the moment and have smaller amounts of coffee and soda.

Yesterday all I could think about was chocolate I am not usually a big chocolate person so it was weird.
Today all I wanted was cheese a big hunk of cheddar.
I am exhausted today and I didn't do much!!! It was an I service day and I was finishing report cards. So I spent my day sitting in a chair staring at a computer. DH and I then went and wondered the mall. I lasted an hour. I made him walk slow.
My cramps are much better and I had little nausea today. I feel pulling and almost like a pulled muscle on the lower and left side. Not cramps, just pulling. Go back to gp on Mondays for first prenatal. Hope I find out what my numbers are. I won't have a comparable unless she sends me for blood again. I am now 4 weeks 3 days. Every day is a step in the right direction.
