@marionberry: Thank you! I'm thrilled that we only had to go through 2 IUIs this time around. And I'm happy to be along side of you again in this journey Hope you're feeling well and your two little bunk bed babies are thriving!

@Happygal: Thank you so much! I'll celebrate with confetti and sparkling apple cider for new years

@mrswin: Thank you! And I'm thrilled with the number. My first beta last time around was 43.

    @lazypanda: @FaithFertility: Thank you both!

It's so nice to join you all again

@sweetooth: I was just thinking, given your high beta could there be more than one in there?

  6. sweetooth

    nectarine / 2705 posts

@Mrs.Pinecone316: Thank you! I'm hoping for doubling good news this afternoon.

@marionberry: I guess there's always a chance, given the fertility treatments. But I don't know!

When did your RE "graduate" you back to your Ob/Gyn? I'm worried that when that time comes I won't be able to get an appointment and kinda want to schedule one to have on hand, just in case?

  9. sweetooth

    nectarine / 2705 posts

@LindsayInNY: I wish they would just call me already!

I graduated at 8 weeks from my RE. I do think it's smart to think ahead and try and get on the calendar at your OB. I wasn't able to get in to my OB last time until almost 12 weeks.

  10. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@sweetooth: I was thinking they'll either send me off after my 8 week appointment on the 14th or have me back one more time? I wish I knew! Maybe it's worth calling my ob/gyn now anyways...

  11. sweetooth

Still doubling! Beta #2 is 972. I'll take all of the positive thoughts I can get for great numbers on Friday! Unbelievably at 4w1d morning sickness has already set in for me, so I feel somewhat comforted by that - even though I feel like crap

@LindsayInNY: It doesn't hurt to call your OB to see when they schedule first appointments when you are pregnant. I think I waited too long by calling after I graduated.

  12. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@sweetooth: Woo!! That's amazing!! I called my OB. First receptionist was not the brightest. I don't think she really understoof what I was saying. I spoke to her manager who was going to schedule me but then something happened at the office and she asked to call me back. So now I'm waiting. Ugh.

  13. Mrs.Pinecone316

    persimmon / 1316 posts

@LindsayInNY: I graduated fromt he RE after my 9 week u/s , he wanted me to be seen the next week at 10 weeks.

@sweetooth: Awesome! You pasted the first big hurdle of doubling betas! Hope it is all smooth sailing for you now:) When is your first u/s?

  14. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@Mrs.Pinecone316: I feel like my insurance has a time period - like 11 weeks I *have* to be gone from the RE? I can't remember. I go to the RE at 8 weeks and was able to schedule an appointment (u/s?) with my ob/gyn the following week. They wanted me the week after but that's Thanksgiving and I'll be out of town. So two in a row, I'll take it!

  15. Happygal

    pomelo / 5000 posts

@sweetooth: that is impressive! How many more betas will they do?

  16. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@LindsayInNY: I graduated at 9 weeks and was seen at 10 weeks by my OB I think.
@sweetooth: Congrats on great betas! When will you get your first u/s?

  17. lazypanda

    kiwi / 636 posts

@sweetooth: woohoo! yay for the great doubling numbers!

@LindsayInNY: I graduated at 9/10 weeks and my RE's office helped me set up my first prenatal appt as well as my NT scan and anatomy scan.

  18. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@lazypanda: Oh really? Was your RE somehow affiliated with your ob/gyn? I don't think they would go that far to schedule everything for me. But I do think I can stay with the RE until 11-12 weeks according to insurance?

  19. sweetooth

    nectarine / 2705 posts

@LindsayInNY: Thanks! I'm glad you're all set with your appointments!

@Mrs.Pinecone316: Thank you! I guess I'll find out tomorrow. They want to do one more beta. It sure makes me nervous to keep going back for bloodwork - but I'm trying to trust the process. I had 4 betas last time around and this time my numbers are a lot higher, much sooner. Trying to take comfort in that.

@Happygal: One more beta tomorrow. Trying to keep my cool...but I'm nervous. My nausea faded today - but then, I never had nausea this early last time. Hopefully all is well.

@marionberry: Thank you! I'll find out tomorrow about the ultrasound once I get through my 3rd beta.

    @lazypanda: Woohoo! Thank you

  20. lazypanda

    kiwi / 636 posts

@sweetooth: good luck with your ultrasound! Are you excited about the possibility of twins?

@LindsayInNY: my RE is in the same medical office & hospital as my PCP and OB. They have access to all my health records which made it really easy in getting labwork done & appointments scheduled. My RE & the nurses also told me that even while I am pregnant and have questions or concerns, I can always contact them.

  21. sweetooth

    nectarine / 2705 posts

@lazypanda: I feel like chances are slim for twins - but I am so ready to see the little bean in my belly!

My third and final beta was 1987! I'm done with betas!!! My ultrasound is scheduled for 11/20. I'll be 6w2d at that time. We saw the heartbeat that early last time around, hopefully we are that lucky again.

    @sweetooth: Such great news!

    pomelo / 5000 posts

@sweetooth: great numbers. How are you feeling? I saw the heartbeat around that time as well!

29 weeks here and baby girl is breech. Plenty of time for her to flip, I'm told. The really strange thing is how easy it makes it to feel her head. I feel like I'm kind of holding my baby!

    Happy Monday, everyone!

  24. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Happygal: My son was breech and never flipped (despite a failed ECV). It's definitely a different feeling in your belly I'd think than head-down moms face. Do you think you'd try to deliver vaginally if breech or schedule a C-section?
@sweetooth: Can't wait for your ultrasound! Great beta numbers!

@Happygal: awww that is sweet!!! LO is head down but I can feel her poke her little butt out to the side. I can tap it... lol she will move it cracks me up!!!!!

@sweetooth: woohoo for the great betas!

@Happygal: @FaithFertility: your due dates are coming up so quickly! I'm excited for when DH can feel baby.

For those further along or 2nd time moms, when did you start feeling baby? I'm 15 weeks & yesterday kept thinking I felt a rolling movement so I pressed on my growing belly & felt it again. I've been telling myself that it must be gas or maybe my pulse since I shouldn't expect to feel baby this early.

Hi ladies! Sorry I haven't been on here much, but we've been moving boxes over to our new house and our big furniture moving day is next Monday, so things are quite crazy right now!!!!!

I'm 16 1 /2 weeks and feeling fine. Feeling much better than the 1st trimester and have more energy. Baby girl is good and I've felt her move a few times. Can't wait for our 20 week ultrasound.

@lazypanda: I didn't feel movement with my son until 20 weeks but I had an anterior placenta so movement is generally felt later in that case. This time I felt movement earlier, but just a few times and it was very slight. I feel "flutters" or "bubbles". You will know if you feel that same feeling again!! It's the best!

  28. Happygal

    pomelo / 5000 posts

@marionberry: oh no. If she remains this way, it will be a c-section for me. I don't know if my hospital would even allow me to try, to be honest! Will you be going for a VBAC this time?

@faithfertility: sounds like she's already an obedient child! How long of a maternity leave will you be taking? Are your students always touching your belly these days?

@lazypanda: I just thumbed through my pregnancy journal to help me remember.....at 17 weeks, my OB thought I would be feeling the baby move all the time, but I wasn't sure that was the case. At 19 weeks, I was certain that what I was feeling was the baby. It was like a rolling sensation. I think this timeline can really vary!

@Jenn23: wow, time is moving quickly! I feel like you just announced here two weeks ago. Good luck packing--moving is a huge event!

  29. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@lazypanda: You might be feeling baby. That's about what time I started feeling my first. By 17-18 weeks you will for sure unless you have an anterior placenta.
@Happygal: I had a pretty good experience with my last c-section. Given that with twins you only get to try to deliver if baby A is head down and even then baby B can get stuck and need an emergency c-section, I think I'm going to opt for a repeat c-section. My provider left it up to me though.

@Happygal: hahah she is a silly babe
I took my FMLA w/ sick leave for 12 weeks but with Christmas break and spring break it brings me back April 10th soo I decided to take a short leave and take the rest of the year off! I am so happy with that choice!
I have a few kiddos that ask about the baby and rub my belly..it is so sweet ♥
How are you? Is work kicking your butt?!?!

  31. lazypanda

    kiwi / 636 posts

@Jenn23: exciting news about the move! Such a great new start for you & your family. and I hope it is my little baby that I'm feeling!

@Happygal: yay for the rolling sensation, it's the best way I could describe what I felt. I'm so envious of teachers who get a year of maternity! Although I'm not sure if I can run a classroom all day, I already get tired running a morning group of teen boys followed by meetings galore.

@marionberry: woohoo, I don't have an anterior placenta, at least that's what the tech said at my NT scan. So I'm really hoping that it has been baby that I've been feeling. It comes and goes but only when I lay down and press on my belly. Since you're opting for the c-section, Have you already scheduled your date?

@FaithFertility: I can't believe you're only a month (or less) away from meeting your little victory!

  32. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@lazypanda: I haven't scheduled my date yet. Given that they're twins, they always schedule the c-section by 38 weeks but they often come premature, so at this point we just wait and hope they go towards full term and then when we get closer we'll schedule the c-section.

  33. FaithFertility

@lazypanda: you prob are feeling baby!! Looking back I didaround 15-17 weeks wasn't sure, but looking back it was def baby!!!! :)))

Ahhh 4 weeks Friday! I'm soooo excited, but can't believe its almost time!!! She will.forever be God's Victory to us!! Thanksfor rremembering!

How are you feeling these days?!?

  34. Mrs.Pinecone316

    persimmon / 1316 posts

I am 18 weeks and still feel like I haven't felt much of the baby moving. They haven't told me anything about my placenta so I am wondering if I have an anterior one too? I know everything I read is that it can be totally normal to not feel movement with your first up to 22 weeks but it would sure make me feel a whole lot better if I did!!

Can I ask how many of you have gotten pregnant with Injectible medications and IUI? I have had 5 unsuccessful IUI's with Clomid. (only 3 good cycles, but 5 total) I really need some encouraging words and success stories about the outcomes of the injectibles with IUI. I am so bummed that I found out today... again, that we aren't pregnant.

  36. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Mrs.Pinecone316: Do you have a doppler? If you can't feel baby, that will definitely soothe any fears. Hearing the heartbeat is great!
@fotolori1: I got pregnant on IUI with clomid with my son, but I had many friends here on HB who were unsuccessful with clomid and then got pregnant very quickly with injectibles. I'm hoping that's the answer for you. Sorry to hear about your cycle.

  37. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@fotolori1: Letrozole/femara was what worked with our IUI. How have you responded to Clomid? I know when I asked about injectibles, I was told that my RE usually only uses them when people don't really respond in a predictive way to meds?

  38. lazypanda

    kiwi / 636 posts

@marionberry: yay! I do hope you are able to get to full term!

@FaithFertility: it was a lovely story of hope back then for me! I think hearing stories of IF ladies getting pregnant after so many months of trying is always so uplifting.

@Mrs.Pinecone316: I'm excited for you to feel baby soon! Have you already had your anatomy scan? Also I read that by 20 weeks, you might be able to hear baby with a stethoscope.

@fotolori1: I've already responded on the IUI thread, but I do wish you the best with your upcoming IUI cycle! FX you'll get to join us on this thread! oh & I believe HappyGal got pregnant on a injectables IUI cycle.

For everyone on here, a little late, but all gap maternity, baby & kids sales/clearance items are an additional 50% off until tomorrow! I actually picked up several maternity shirts for $5 & work appropriate poplin shirts for $15!

I also saw my sister in law today & oh boy, she's 3 weeks ahead of me with #2 & my belly is so much bigger than hers! It really makes me think I still have a shot for twins. I really can't seem to shake this feeling. DH says I'm crazy for thinking that since all our ultrasounds showed one. He said everyone would be stupefied if we end up with twins at this point. We saw his godmother the other day & she wondered if I was having twins! She said either I might have twins or I am going to have one big baby!

@lazypanda: My sister didn't know she was having twins (with 3 ultrasounds and 3 different doctors) until she gave birth. So it can/has happened. But different people and babies carry differently too.

  40. lazypanda

    kiwi / 636 posts

@brownie: wow! That must have been a real shocker! Did your sister have any feelings about carrying twins? At my first 2 ultrasounds with my RE, she said that I should not expect to show until I was about 5 months along given my weight & height. All my aunts, both maternal & paternal, have asked if I might be having twins as they did not show until much later. My mom said she wore her regular clothes until about 6 months! I just can't seem to shake the feeling though (or maybe I'm being irrational & it's all wishful thinking).
