I feel like I haven't figured out the best way to do some VERY basic stuff and these are kind of dumb questions but.. well.. whatever.

1) How do you keep your kid moderately clean while feeding purees/messy foods? My LO makes a huuuuuge mess dribbling all down her face, chin, neck, arms, chest, etc. I have one of those bibs that goes over her arms too, and I put a second cotton bib on under the vinyl one to try to catch the goo dribbling down her neck. But she still generally ends up with puree on the neck of her shirts and in her lap (I've taken to feeding her pants less). Then when I go to clean her up after she is done I don't know what order to do things in. If I do her hands first she immediately hits the tray/bib and gets them dirty again. If I do the tray first she smears what is on her hands/bib onto it before I can get to that. If I remove the tray and try to do her hands she grabs the bib and stuff flies everywhere. If I remove the tray and bib she grabs her shirt and gets her clothes completely covered. I used to just feed her naked (just diaper) but now that we are feeding her a few times per day that is just not practical. So yea. What is your routine for cleaning a baby up after feeding??

2) Once a baby can sit up in the bath... how the hell do you wash them? lol LO has been sitting for a while but until tonight she would sit up for a bit while I washed her top half but also let me lay her back onto her mat thing so I could wash her bottom half and rinse her hair. Well now she is refusing to lay down at all. How do I rinse the shampoo out of her hair without getting water on her face. How do I wash her undercarriage when she is sitting on it??

I feel like I should know these things by 8 mo... but yea. I am failing at momming today

Would love to hear your thoughts, and also other people's dumb questions so I feel better!
