@Silva: Last time I called when I was like 3W4D pregnant. But I have a history of low progesterone and wanted to be put on it ASAP. (The doctor actually gave me the script the day I was seen and said to take it right away even before the blood test results were back)

If it will ease your mind to call, definitely call.

@LCTBQE: I'm sorry you had a tough long weekend too. This time of year can be so tough. I also would have preferred to be at work!

@Silva: Congrats!! I would call. Maybe they can get you in earlier this time.

@Silva: definitely call if you think it might make you feel better! I go back and forth on this one. The first time, I had so many tests, scans etc and still ended up with a mmc. This last time I was planning to wait until 6.5 weeks to get a scan and just hope for the best. My hpts then went back to negative, so I didn't have to deal with the dr at all. I'm not sure what I will do when we conceive again!

And a big congrats and lots of good luck wishes!!

So I called. I go in Monday for an HCG test, and then they will use that info to schedule a viability scan. The scheduler is also going to call me soon to schedule a regular prenatal/standard scan, to avoid them getting booked up.

@LCTBQE: Here's some B12 info -- https://sites.google.com/site/miscarriageresearch/vitamins-and-miscarriage/vitamin-b12. I don't know how legit it is, though, but who knows. I was also told that being unable to properly absorb B12 can be a symptom of having the MTHFR gene which sucks.

I get my bloodwork back tomorrow and have my pap done. Looking forward to at least hearing how the bloods turn out. Last night sucked, so much, and today started with nobody getting any sleep, my kid getting turned away from daycare and me having to take a day off to bring her in to the clinic for viral pinkeye which can't be treated, and a broken vehicle. I'm trying to decompress right now, which is somewhat working, and I'm hoping we can get back on track at least for my upcoming fertile week.

It's so hard to not get stuck in the frustration of the moment, and keep looking ahead.

@MrsDragon: How did you find out you were B12 deficient? Is it part of normal blood workups or something special? Just curious because I supplemented with B12 during my last pregnancy but it ended up as a loss. I did it "just in case" and the nurse and midwives all said it was fine to do anyway, but I don't know if I am actually deficient or not. Since I had one successful pregnancy in between my two losses, my OB practice won't run any tests on me right now but I wonder if it is something I can ask for at my normal annual exam with my PCP.

@catlady: mine came up in a regular blood test once and now I ask for it knowing that it's usually low! I can tell when it's lagging, because my energy goes away completely.

All of my blood work came back within normal ranges! I'm surprised about the b12 but I'm going to keep supplementing just in case. The NP told me that when I get pregnant she will try to see me every two weeks till I get out of the first tri to help with anxiety, and she'll book an earlier ultrasound. I hope I get to take her up on that offer soon.

@Silva: congratulations!! you got the mythical post-m/c super fertility so happy for you.

@MrsDragon: thanks for the article, I'm going to read it tonight--I will take it with a grain of salt, but it feels good to try and eliminate any possible contributing causes. and glad to hear your bloodwork is in great shape and your NP is going to be accommodating sounds like your support network is getting a little better up there. SO happy that you get to try again guilt-free. I am really hopeful for you this month

@Nutella: sounds like you are just grooving in the tww-- can't wait to hear good news and you sold your house! so stressful, but somehow you always seem like you're in a cheerful psychic place. so now you have to move, too?

I spoke with my OB again today and she really wants me to sit this month out and wait for a real period to give my body a chance to repair itself after the 2-in-a-row, which is hard because I can tell I'm ovulating today or tomorrow (CD17). I just don't have the guts to defy her, and I suppose I'm slightly more terrified of this happening motherfucking **AGAIN** and it truly being my fault, than I am impatient to get the show back on the road. woof.

@LCTBQE: b12 can't hurt, at least, so if you do decide to supplement and don't need it you'll just have expensive pee.

    @delight: @Mrs. Champagne: thank you!

@LCTBQE: haha! Well we are moving countries too (NZ) so the house is just a bit item in the to-do pile! Super relieved though. I too am hopeful for good news! Fingers crossed for us all!

I'm sorry you gave to sit this one out, that's got to be tough but at least you'll be fully ready to go next cycle! New year, new luck! Xx

Got my blood drawn again and it came back <5 which is non pregnant level. It is quite a relief to me. I feel like this saga is over. Now I just wait for Ovulation or AF. I'm not sure really how this works. It has been 7.5 weeks since my mc so hopefully my cycle returns soon. Our consultation at the fertility clinic is Dec 21 and it would be nice to have AF back by then.

Well weeks of being okay down the drain.

A friend that I share a best friend with had the same due date as me. Her shower was today. I didn't go. Was doing okay then our mutual best friend posted a pic of the two of them and how they are due 3weeks apart and how kids will be bffs too... Then I got sucked into the hashtag and saw all date predictions/gender guesses and just brought back too much. 😢😢😢 sobbing mess.

@Zbug: sorry to hear that. I tend to avoid FB these days, just too stressful in a way! Hope you're doing ok. I'm somewhere in my tww and feeling completely normal, so just don't know what to make of it. Plus I'm seeing literally everyone pregnant. Girl who works at our local cafe, lady who sold me a dress yesterday & about half of my LO's music class.

    @LibbyLou: I'm so sorry.

I should be almost 12 weeks. Everyone who got pregnant with me this time is announcing on FB. I'm just sitting here with still positive numbers for this never ending miscarriage. This sucks.

@Nutella: I'm also in my tww. I'm not super optimistic due to last month's CP, but I always feel at least a little hopeful in the tww. And, yes, everyone is pregnant. EVERYONE.

@jaguar: oh my 12week mark sucked. I hid people for just posting that "blah blah had something to share". HIDE! Damn social media.
@zbug hopefully it stays quiet. I hate raining on others parades even if it's just mentally to myself but it's sometimes so hard not to.
@nutella thank you. We went for oysters and bloody Mary's today. Not a big treat but made me feel better knowing o couldn't do that if I was preg.

    Thanks everyone 💗

@LibbyLou: sorry you had to deal with that. I wanted to bail on my high school friends Xmas party. My best friend is due within three weeks of what my due date was and another friend is pregnant too. I ended up going because I knew DD would have fun with the other kids. It's so hard tho. I totally relate.

@jaguar: what's your latest update? So sorry you still have HCG in your system. I hope you get things figured out soon.

Still waiting on AF. I have had no signs of ovulation since my mc. I just wish I could get this show on the road so we could try again

@delight: Number at 17. Dropped from 25 the week before. (And 22 the week before.)

On Provera, trying to induce a withdrawal bleed & hopefully flush any microscopic tissue with a forced period. Praying it's over by Christmas. I should be 10+ weeks pregnant, instead, I'm just here.

@delight: I also force myself to hang out with all my pregnant friends for DD's sake, but I'd rather just hide out. I definitely make less for an effort to make plans with them though.

@Zbug: I'm the same - I've def stepped back from a lot of them but I think thankfully they've done the same!

Just came back from an appt with a naturopath/acupuncture person who is supposedly from a really good clinic. But was disappointed again (2nd visit) - she seemed so young and lacking in experience! Plus straight after the acu she barrels in the door asking a million questions about my day/where do I buy my organic veggies from and the like. Totally killed my buzz and was the opposite of how I like to feel after forking out lots of money! Found myself rebooking but will def be cancelling!

My old clinic are on the other side of the city but are so much more pro! Hate it when you learn things like this after spending money!

@jaguar: how are you doing? Did Provera work? It's bad enough to have a mc, but when it drags on like this it is awful. I'm on CD 52 now.... Gah!

  37. jaguar

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@delight: It's agony. I finished Provera two days ago, so now it's just a waiting game. Bet you it still takes forever. My body is hopeless! How are you doing?

  38. delight

    pomelo / 5326 posts

@jaguar: I actually just woke up to AF. Officially took 7w and a couple days post mc to get it. I am a abut anxious about our appointment at the fertility clinic which is on the 22st. Not sure what to expect. It's our first appointment so I'm sure it'll just be a lot of questions. We haven't had a lot of trouble gettin pregnant, but having then stick around for us has been a nightmare.

I hope you get AF soon. The waiting is the worst. I hope 2016 is way better for all of us.

Last night when I got home I fished the test out of the trash (I know, I know) and saw something faint. So I took a frer today. At work! Haha.
