What Does Your LO's Nighttime Sleep Really Look Like?

My LO is 9 months and has been constantly sick since starting daycare in January. She's never, ever slept through the night in her life. Her best night ever she just woke once.

Typically she goes to sleep at 7:30-8, then is up at 1-2, then anywhere from 3-5 am, then up for the day around 7.

But on a bad night, of which we have many, she's up every hour on the hour. Fun times!

My LO is 11 months old and has fortunately always been a great nighttime sleeper (let's not even talk about naps!) He goes to bed at 8 and wakes up at 7:30. He'll sleep later on DH's day off because his usual wake-up time is due to the sound of the garage door opening when DH leaves for work.

Occasionally I'll hear him wake up a bit in the middle of the night, but he falls back asleep fairly easily.

DD is 15 months and we're all over the place. 3 nights ago, she went to bed easily at 7:30 and was asleep until 8:30. last night, we were traveling at MIL's house and she was in the crib at 8, screamed bloody murder for 20 minutes after i went in there twice, so i had to nurse her again and then let her cry for another 10 minutes until she passed out. then she woke up at 5 screaming like a banshee. i nursed her because i don't feel like CIO at the moment (we ST'd at 12.5 months to night wean/STTN).

we're traveling next week for 10 days, so after that, we're STing again if needed!

My LO is 19 months old and she goes to bed around 8:30 and wakes up around 5am. I bring her to bed to nurse and she will usually go back to sleep right away and we'll sleep until 8.

The last 2 nights she has woken up at 1am. I'm not sure why... she is screaming so I think she's having a nightmare or something. Normally when she wakes up its just a whimper.

At 10.5 months, mine go down at 7, usually asleep within 10 mins with some crying in there. DD typically wakes once, between 3-4 to nurse, and then back down until 6:30 or 7. DS is a crappy sleeper and is still up 2-3x a night to nurse. We often pass out on the couch together, sideways nursing. We're actually starting sleep training again tonight bc I can't take it anymore!

@Zbug: it shouldn't because terrible sleep sucks for everyone but it's nice to know we aren't alone

This is an awesome thread. Makes me feel so normal to have wakeups and encouraged in that most kids older than a year seem to be sleeping well!
Mine goes down at 7:30, awake. Most of the time, just passes out, sometimes with a bit of whimpering. Once in a while it will take her 10 min to fall asleep. Lately she's been waking at 2 and 5 to nurse and up for the day at 7:45. And once in a while also wakes at 10:30 (teething, maybe)? But three weeks ago, she was up at 11, 2, 5, 6:30 and then I brought her to bed to get more sleep. I looooooove that's she's getting some good early morning sleep right now!

What amazing sleepers the babies of Hellobee are!

My almost two-year old goes to bed at 8 or 8:30, wakes up around 12-1 (I am usually still awake because I am working, so either DH or I will go in and rub her back, sing to her, etc. until she goes back down), and then up again around 5-6 a.m. This time DH gets up with her and falls asleep with her in the glider until 7 am (sometimes earlier) which is when she starts her day.

My four-month old puts herself to sleep really well, but can't stay asleep for some reason. She usually goes down at 8, and then is up at 12, 2, 4, and 6. I feed her sometimes at every feeding, sometimes not. She then sleeps in my bed from like 6 - 10 a.m. She really likes to sleep in.

Both kids sleep through the night for the most part (2 1/2 and 4). Sometimes they wake up in the middle of the night and they both have floor beds, so we usually lie down next to them and they fall back asleep. But that also means that we usually fall asleep next to them!

If we let Charlie sleep in our bed, he always asks to sleep in our bed so it is much better to take him back to his room.

My LO is almost 2.5 years old

If she napped 2:30-5:30 then bedtime is 8:00. She usually rolls around and plays with her lovey for an hour before passing out. Most nights she will ask to go potty over the monitor and will pass out after using the potty. She's up around 7:30/8:00. I'm just glad she stays in her bed (she's in a full sized bed)

If she played in her bed during nap time i get her at 4:30 and everything is moved up by an hour and bedtime is at 7:00. She passes out right away and wakes up around 7:30 the next day.

She is just like DH...she loves to sleep. She has always loved to sleep and would go 12-14 hours around 4-5 months. She is a champ at STTN and I feel so lucky she's a good sleeper. I am so afraid that my next LO won't be a naturally good sleeper

LO is 15 months typically sleeps from 830-7. She's never been one to sleep 12+ hours, and as she's gotten older, the total length of her nighttime sleep has decreased. I'm not sure if that's normal or not at such an early age, but I figure as long as she STTN and isn't waking too early, I won't worry (too much). If she wakes during the night, it's usually teething and we'll bring her to bed with us.
