When LO was less than a year old, we'd put him down for the night and occasionally he would cry. Sometimes he would cry so hard that he would puke and then we'd have to go through the whole routine of changing him, changing the sheets, sometimes a bath if it was really bad. So to avoid this, I would sometimes stay in his room until he fell asleep.
Fast forward many months - we moved into a new home and to help him transition, we would still stay in his room while he fell asleep.
We have now been in the new house for 5 months and it has gotten to the point where DH and I no longer have our nights. We put LO to bed around 7:30 or 8 and sometimes he doesn't fall asleep until 8:30...by which time we are tired and fall asleep ourselves only to wake up at 10:30pm and move to our room.
Anyone have any pointers or tips on how to get LO to sleep on his own? (He is usually fine falling asleep with minimal crying for his daytime nap. Also, he still pukes when he cries too hard)
Any help would be appreciated!
