It's an old pager code! People used to send number codes to each other over pagers, before text messaging became widespread. 143 stood for the number of letters in the words I, Love and You.

@mrbee: I think that she only has one "Gracie's Choice." I also love the Hayden Pantierre's first Lifetime movie where her mom is a grifter who kills her husband, Lies My Mother Told Me. Lifetime movies are awesome.
