Got my match and she's a genius for including her HB name already. Ha! She doesn't have a wishlist yet though. D'oh!! Call me weird/childish, but I'm so excited this exchange. Mainly sending a gift because who doesn't love packages right???

@swurlygurl: I think so! Because for me, I'm not creative and by default, it'd be a gift card to somewhere. While that's great, I think physically receiving a package would be funner!

this made my morning! i was so excited to see who i got matched with and this morning i slept oddly late and when i woke up the first thing i did was check to see if the match email was there- it was! i just spent a long time HB stalking and bookmarking threads with ideas for them. let the holidays begin! yay!!!!

Whoever drew me is on the ball this AM...I just opened my email to see my matches, and 3 questions! If you got me and are reading this I'll get on and make a wish list and all that as soon as I put E down for a nap!

@hellocupcake: I always feel awkward asking for specific gifts, but as a gift-giver, it's really hard to come up with ideas when you don't know a person very well. For that reason, I went ahead and started adding things. It's kind of fun to find a bunch of stuff you want

@hellocupcake: I am the same way. I look at the wish lsit as a rough guide. For example: if a person has a ton of paint, canvas, pencil, paint brushes on their list, you can conclude they really like to draw! And then maybe get them something to go with that and maybe add a $10 giftcard to jo-ann's or something. That's the way I regard wish lists.

@hellocupcake: i didn't make a wishlist, i did put that i don't drink coffee, i feel like it's a common gift, but i don't drink it, and i put that i don't need alcohol (really i do need this, but we don't keep booze in the house
) because it's another common gift but i'd have to dump it and then i'd feel bad. other than that, i will happily receive whatever comes my way! i think it's kind of neat when people don't have wishlists because it forces you to do some stalking/ask questions and get to know them. but i'm sure the wishlists are helpful for lots of people so i don't see any harm in doing them! either way it's fun!

I feel like...well I've added some to mine, things I'd really like but wouldn't treat myself to...and in a situation like this when I don't know someone very well I'd rather KNOW I'm getting them something they really want rather than guessing and hoping.
But I do feel awkward requesting things, and if whomever has me is reading this, please feel free to completely disregard said wish list...if you'd like to use it to make the decision easier for yourself awesome, that's why it's there, but if not, that's awesome too!

Question: The exchange date is Nov 17, does that mean we have to have our gifts EXCHANGED by then or just bought?
Also do the gifts get delivered to the buyer first and then we mail them to our draw or do they go straight to our draws house?
This may have already been made clear but I joined this kind of late. Lol

@Danizaur: Not sure what the rule is, but I'm going to have mine delivered by Nov 17 and I'm having it shipped directly to the giftee because it'll save on shipping costs instead of shipping to me than to her.

@Danizaur: the 17th is a mail by date, so just get it in the mail by then. Also, if you're buying something online, I would just have it sent directly to recipient unless you want to pay for shipping twice. I figure if I buy something online, I'll have it gift wrapped and sent to them then send them a card.
